Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

 1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
 2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
 3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
 4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
 5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

cori Sorry about the witch - what terrible timing Flowers

coribeth · 16/02/2017 21:13

Ooooh bathroom refurb I need some of that in my life am seriously thinking about working my weekends again to pay for it! Guess I ought to get the plastering and buy some carpets first though if we have any chance of being accepted on the adoption register! Hmm

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 16/02/2017 22:16

BFN on Friday, BFN when I tested yesterday...but still no AF

I iced on cd 17, had a tiny bit of bright red blood on cd 28 which I suppose might have been implantation (?) but here I am still waiting on CD 32.

My cycle is usually 27 days so feel like I'm in a weird twilight zone

Have been away for a few days so just catching up on this thread. So sorry to hear your news kwick and sorry for anyone else having a bad time

jellypi3 · 17/02/2017 07:15

What tests are you using?

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 17/02/2017 10:19

Used a clearblue 5 day early for Saturday and a clearblue digital with countdown timer on Wednesday, but I have a couple of FRER arriving today in case I can get anything to show on those.

I can feel twinges in my back this morning that's making me think AF is on the way though

Singingforsanity · 17/02/2017 17:05

Gx the frers will show something Cuppa! Not out until the fat witch sings.

Cori I need to pull my finger out too on the decorating front, some of our carpets are shocking!

CD8 here, expecting to ice in the next few days.

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 18/02/2017 06:20

The witch is here! Looks like I'm out

SofiePendragon · 18/02/2017 07:40

Sorry Cuppa Flowers

jellypi3 · 18/02/2017 08:15

Ah sorry tea thats shit. For future reference clear blue (or any blue die test) tends to be poor compared to pink dye tests for early testing.

kwick · 18/02/2017 15:32

Welcome astro!!!

What a fcuker cori Flowers

I need a new bathroom too plus artic bedroom needs to be sorted.

Getting some fresh air and sun on our allotment. Signed off until 1 March but keep on having nightmares about work so think a) I may need to do some and b) need a new job.

NameChange30 · 18/02/2017 15:39

Enjoy the fresh air and sunshine kwick Flowers

coribeth · 18/02/2017 21:49

sing I ripped all my carpets out one day in a fit of rage it was only later I realised that before getting new ones I should
A really plaster and decorate
And B save up so I could buy some!
That was about six months ago Blush

Singingforsanity · 19/02/2017 00:26

Sorry Cuppa Sad

Cori what a nightmare! Get it done before you get upduffed in case you don't have the energy! I need to take my own advice here

coribeth · 19/02/2017 21:08

Well back bedroom is scheduled to be plastered in two weeks (have been this close before then builder let us down!) but this one is my best mate's um friend with benefits Winkso guessing he will turn up seems mad getting the spare room done as it really is a dumping ground but until it is we have no where to sleep while ours is done hopefully by the summer it will all be done (at least that's the plan!) Grin

jellypi3 · 20/02/2017 11:53

Sounds exciting cori :)

coribeth · 20/02/2017 21:31

Well not relishing the mess jelly but will give me something other than ttc to focus on and will finally feel like we are moving forward again as house stuff seems to have stalled somewhat since October!

Singingforsanity · 20/02/2017 22:23

Good luck with the plastering! I'm still no further forward 🙈

Hmm, bit confuddled here tbh, CD11 here and by now I'm normally icing. Yesterday and day before I got flashy smilies on the CB dual hormone OPK so this morning would expect a solid smiley (forgot to test, duh) but (sorry tmi) there's EWCM, which I normally get loads of. DTD anyway last night and prob will tonight too but a bit anxious I'm not OVing. Need to focus on something else...

Singingforsanity · 20/02/2017 22:24

Sorry, that was supposed to say there's NO EWCM.

jellypi3 · 21/02/2017 09:39

no idea singing sorry, i'm useless with ovulation signs. I'm on CD 14 and have no idea if I have iced or not so I am just shagging as much as possible to see if something happens.

cori i found having a wedding to plan helped take my mind off ttc. Otherwise it gets a bit obsessive.

kwick · 21/02/2017 12:32

I had my follow-up scan at the EPU yesterday. Miscarriage confirmed and it looks like no pregnancy tissue remains.
They recommended that I wait for first period until trying again. If I were to get pregnant now, likelihood of another MC is higher.

TriJo · 21/02/2017 13:33

Out of curiosity, for anyone who's had one - how did your cycle behave after a chemical pregnancy? I'm on day 31 now with no sign of anything in any direction. In the dim and distant past pre-pill and baby I had roughly a 35 day (+/- 5 days) cycle so vaguely expecting the red tide by the end of February...

NovaArt3mis · 21/02/2017 16:56

kwick did they say why chance of mc is higher if you try straight away?
Mine said to wait for first period too but I think just for dating reasons? Articles online seem to suggest studies showing you're less like to mc again if you get upduffed again within 6 months? I can't decide whether to try this cycle or not.
How are you feeling in general?

kwick · 21/02/2017 17:20

nova I am not sure why, but it is just if you try straihht away, not after 1st period.
Well I am still in my jim-jams and feel like staying in them for a long long time....

angelazul · 21/02/2017 18:44

Awh bless you Kwick Flowers Hope you're taking good care of yourself x

Singing I think there can be ewcm without noticing it, could be very high up or "pushed out" so to speak when you use the loo Blush Have you any other icing signs?

Cori I've done something similar with carpet, it's the next thing on the to-do list after the bathroom. Bathroom not going to plan what with the bath & shower not fitting in, a leaking loo, and a faulty basin with no more in stock Angry It should hopefully be finished by end of the week, & I finish work for 2 weeks on Friday, so a rather large bottle of wine will be in order

coribeth · 21/02/2017 23:03

kwick take care of yourself angel that sounds like a nightmare except the wine part! Grin jelly we are off to see our first choice wedding venue on Sunday so all over the wedding planning! Wink sing I never get ewcm or at least I've never noticed! Hmm
