I almost put this in arts and crafts, seeing as how we talk about crochet as much as we talk about babies!

Yay! For ml imp make the most of your relaxing time before bb arrives.
Time is going soo fast keep how has it been a week already! How is S with her brother?
Lovely to see you cups
I can't remember every ones news sorry am a bad brooker at the moment.
Had my first 'god you are huge' comment the other day, yes I do know that thank you!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 07/10/2016 10:44

sorry for absence.

Congratulations keep! Hope all is going well! And not long left for you now Imps?? Make the most of these days. Fill the freezer with easy meals, sleep, read, shop whilst all you can. Life with a baby in tow makes shopping far less enjoyable!

Trix good to hear it is just a heart issue that you need to deal with.

Hop you get a few more weeks without bleeds Beedle.

Geek you can't have much longer left now either?

I'm just plodding on. Shehata has received my referral, just need to sort out a date I can do. In the last 3 weeks DH has only had 1 drink which was a small glass of dessert wine on my birthday. Am so proud of him trying to boost our chances of success in January. My first AF since February is just ending, as all I've had since then is MC's. Makes a refreshing change to have a month of not testing and being able to use tampons. Hoping to get to Shehata in November and also able to go back to Coventry early November for a repeat uterine NK test and maybe another scratch. In two minds over that as I always had heavy periods but I don't now, and I'm worried the ERPC and the scratch have affected my body's ability to make a decent lining. They said the lining was a decent thickness in Nov last year and Jan this year but my period this week has been very light and my recent MC's were fairly light too. So I'm not sure what to do for the best re the scratch...

keepitgoing · 11/10/2016 03:55

Hi all!

imps how's m/l? Have you forgotten about work? How are you doing?

trix that all sounds positive. Can you research outcomes, surgeons at the two hospitals? Also travel time and expense for you, as you'll be there and back a lot I'd imagine. Glad n is doing better

loopy great that dh is on board. Good luck

All good here, thoutdh back at work already. S adores f, and is so proud of him. Had a massive tantrum when he was born though "I wanted a SISTER"

BeedlesPineNeedles · 11/10/2016 14:18

trix sounds like you have a plan of what will be happening which must be reassuring.

loopy I thought the scratch prompts the lining to regenerate a bit better than it was before, so it wouldn't be a bad thing. (I might be completely wrong though! ). Good luck with the appointments, not too long to wait now. And well done to dh on the no alcohol!

I managed to finish off some crochet this week and I was going to take a photo for you but I had some more bleeding this morning so I'm back in hospital. I've been admitted and am just waiting for the afternoon doctor's round but I think they will keep me in for the next 2 weeks :-( And I don't have a private room at the moment so mrb can't stay overnight. Hopefully I will get moved soon as the other woman in the room won't stop sniffing Angry I think this is the only shared room on the ward so a fairly good chance they will move me (fingers crossed)

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 12/10/2016 09:16

Oh beedle... Are you 36 weeks now? Do you think they'll induce at 37? Hope you get a private room, but two weeks in Hosp doesn't sound much fun
My sil had her baby boy at 40+1, after 40 hours of labour, epidural, and almost a cs but she just pushed him out in time. :)

Imps9 · 13/10/2016 08:29

Oh Beedles two weeks in hospital sounds pretty crap. Have you got headphones and an iPod to drown out sniffing woman? It's the final countdown to Babybeedles now! Ooooh I wonder when he or she will get here!!

Congrats to your SIL Keep! Sounds like hard work but hopefully she will have a little chance to rest in hospital before heading home.

Well done Mr Loops on booze intake. I could never convince Mr Imps to give it up completely even though he knew what we were up against sperm-wise and despite the consultants telling him to stop drinking completely. Mr Imps is very good at knowing best when it comes to things he wants to do Hmm.

Trix glad all is well with the growth scans and that they're putting a plan in place. I'd assumed they'd want to do a CS to avoid putting pressure on BabyBoyTrix's heart during labour, but it's really good that they don't leap straight to that option. Maybe a Christmas Day baby!

Mat leave is going very well - I'm very busy but really enjoying having the time to get things done. I'm not very good at sitting down and relaxing during the day, but have had a preg massage (which was amazing) and am having some earlier nights too. And the freezer is packed with meals thanks to my trusty slow-cooker (we're still without a kitchen...) so that makes me very happy indeed.

Mr Imps is irritating me though as he still refuses to discuss names. I told him what I wanted the names to be yesterday (the boys one was on the list that he did over the summer when I forced him to read the baby names book (he only got up to "S") and he looked panicked and sad and said "but I really want to name him after my grandad". I've already vetoed that name on the basis that a) I don't like it; b) I want B-B to have his own brand new identity; and c) B-B is already going to have Mr Imps' surname - if he has his grandad's name too it makes B-B all about Mr Imps' family to the total exclusion of mine. So I've told him that that name is not on the list, that he has to move on and engage constructively in agreeing something with me, and that we are to decide before B-B arrives because I do not want one of the first conversations we have with B-B in the room with us to be an argument about names.

He then sulked for the rest of the evening Hmm Angry. I wouldn't mind, but the name I suggested yesterday was on his bloody list!

Pah, oh well, we'll get there.

WishIWasSleeping · 13/10/2016 13:10

I've been reading this thread following on from the last for a while, we struggled to conceive our first with me being overweight and PCOS sitting pretty. Just found out we're expecting number 2, first is 9mo, so now feel like a fraudster reading your updates, However- just had to comment on the names dilemma, hubby and I argued discussed names prior, didn't agree, when baby popped out hubby was crying and told me I could have anything I wanted and could name baby anything I wanted! Should have asked for a new car! So all is not lost. I don't think men understand the emotions they go through! Grin

Imps9 · 13/10/2016 13:31

Ha ha hello Wish thank you for posting - you've really made me smile!! And great news re: expecting no. 2 - congratulations Smile

Imps9 · 13/10/2016 13:35

Oh and deffo don't feel like a fraudster for posting - we're an extremely broad church here and welcome instadiffers as much as 5yearsandcountingdiffers. All we care about are Brookers getting their babies :)

WishIWasSleeping · 13/10/2016 20:52

Thanks Imps, its nice to share how pleased I am for you all. Cake
I only found MN since having my daughter and I honestly thought I'd have all the time in the world and a bouncing happy baby on my mat leave and I'd be able to do creative thank you cards and do my own announce the baby cards...
HA! Grin
I had about 20 days of mat leave before she arrived, only just managed to get Christmas done and sorted and pack my hospital bag!
Wouldn't change a second of it though, as I'm sure none of you will once your little miracles arrive.
And in my last post, I use 'popped out' in the reference term. She def did not pop! ShockGrin

BeedlesPineNeedles · 14/10/2016 08:57

I managed to persuade them to let me out on Wednesday! And I also finally got my own room on Tues night after I cried about being stuck in a shared room for 2 weeks. The Dr was quite happy for me to go home as he said they weren't going to do anything to me whilst I was there. Had another bleed yesterday evening but this time they just let me go home after a ctg and another dildocam and examination. The good thing is we have seen/heard babybeedle everyday this week so we're fairly certain he/she isn't bothered by the bleeding.

keep definitely no induction, it has to be a CS, any sign of labour and it's straight to emcs. So far there doesn't seem to be any plan to bring the cs date forward. Although the bleeding is pretty scary for us it has only been approx 50 - 100ml each time and generally stops almost immediately, so I think it is considered to be relatively minor. We're very lucky that the hospital is so close and our route there is not affected by any rush hour traffic.

imps I think mrb is OK with Astrid as our girl name, though I'm not sure how good it sounds with my surname with the d d sound. Boys names are still a bit up in the air. Mrb still thinks we should give a boy my dad's name. I'm not so sure

OP posts:
NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 14/10/2016 11:49

Beedle yay to being home! Is the plan still for CS at the end of October? It really does sound like baby is oblivious to the bleeds but still it must be stressful for you. I love the name Astrid, beautiful Smile

Imps how's MrImps now over the name? I hope he's come around. If you don't like his grandfathers name then no way can you use it! You've got to like BB's name!

Hi Wish congrats on number 2! It's strange how these things work out. I also naively thought I would achieve all sorts on mat leave Confused

We have been smacking the rat again for about 8 months. MrCups is off on a work trip tomorrow to a country with Zika so am not sure if we will keep ttc or not. He's got about 5 bottles of DEET!

How are you doing Keep? Hope baby is well and Kip is doing ok x

How are things Geek? Are you ready for Halloween? Looking forward to seeing your artwork!

Imps9 · 14/10/2016 17:10

Ooooh Beedles am so glad that you're home...not least so that you can post your crochet project photos Wink. Are you bleeding more now because Babybeedles is getting bigger and putting more pressure on the placenta as a result? Just a couple more weeks left, potentially for both of us. Wowwwee.

Cups I didn't realise that the zika virus could affect babies if the dad was affected pre-conception, but I guess that makes sense. It must be awful to live in an affected country if you want to TTC. Do you think you will consider IVF again if CupsJnr II doesn't put in an appearance voluntarily? I remember you saying that Mr Cups was very much against it but wondered if that was still the case. I won't go on the pill again after Barry-Baxter is born and we'll just see how it goes. I'm conscious that B-B was conceived when we were actively trying not to get pregnant, so I'm reluctant to "officially" TTC again, if that makes sense?

Sooo, update on names...I asked Mr Imps yesterday if he'd had any further thoughts about names and he said that he had and that he liked the names I'd chosen and was very happy to go with those Shock Shock. He needs to think a bit more about the middle names, but at least the first names are chosen (and the middle names I like are not out of the question). So feeling rather pleased but taken aback given his reaction a couple of nights ago. Well done Mr Imps. Beedles I love Astrid and think it's perfect with your surname.

What's everyone's weekend plans then?

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 16/10/2016 20:33

Glad to hear MrImps has come around! Looking forward to hearing BB's name

Yeah apparently the Zika virus can be dormant in sperm. I don't think they know for how long for sure but it's recommended to wait 6 months. MrCups is there for a conference and will be mainly in the hotel so I guess the risks aren't really high. We have decided if he doesn't get bitten at all to just keep ttc. I guess we've not got much chance of a BFP anyway. If he gets some mosquito bites I guess we will have to think about it!

Hope all is ok Beedle?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 17/10/2016 15:21

Still OK here, I've been home alone today (mrb ended up being home with me most of last week) which is getting a bit stressful. I just want the baby here safely. CS will be next week, we'll find out which day on Monday, unless it's Monday in which case they'll tell me this week. At least the end is in sight!

imps glad to hear Mr imps is being sensible about names! Any twinges? You must be 39 weeks now right? My Nov due date group on here have had 5 babies so far, luckily none of them came early than about 33/34 weeks so no really tiny ones.

cups hope there are no bites for Mr cups, can they do any tests if he does get bitten? Though I imagine you might not want to take the risk anyway.

OP posts:
Imps9 · 17/10/2016 20:02

Sorry you're getting a bit stressed Beedles? What is it that's stressing you - worry about Babybeedles, not being able to do stuff by yourself at home, the CS, or a bit of everything? Sending some calming vibes your way. I can't believe that Babybeedles will be here in more or less a week. A fucking long time coming and I will be so thrilled when he or she is finally here.

Yes, 39 weeks tomorrow. No twinges at all, but I'm expecting to be late - at the 38 week appt, 4/5 of B-B's head was still palpable which I think means that he's not that far down yet. So I'm expecting a Nov baby and am perfectly fine with that. Am even more convinced that B-B is a boy now though - out of my NCT group (plus neighbour) there are 6 girls and 2 boys and only B-B to go - so statistically he cannot be a girl, surely???

Hope Mr Cups has a good conference, Cups and that he wears so much Deet that the other delegates all pass out!

Loops have you got a date for appt yet?

Trix have you had any more appts/thoughts on where to give birth yet?

Geek how the devil are you getting along?

keepitgoing · 18/10/2016 21:01

beedle!!! Yay! Xxxx

Imps9 · 18/10/2016 22:30

Teeee heeeeee!!!!!

Imps9 · 18/10/2016 22:31

(That's an excited laugh btw)

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 19/10/2016 07:42

Mini update, I went down to Epsom on Monday for the blood tests. Will be going back down 11/11 to find out if I have high blood NK or not. Other patients have said he prescribes pred even if you don't have high levels so am hoping it makes a difference. Am also about to embark on a crazy combination of supplements. Just need to find time to research whether I shouldn't take any of the following whilst taking metformin :

High dose folic acid
L'arginine
Vit D3
Vit E
Omega 3
Coq10
Dhea
Evening primrose oil
Plus usual pregnacare
Wish there was a quick way of finding out if I shouldn't take any of the above!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 19/10/2016 08:49

imps I'm a bit disappointed you didn't manage to sneeze B-B out yesterday to make a double whammy!

Yes babybeedle has made her entrance. We went to maternity triage on Monday evening as I had been told to go with braxton hicks. Though we fully expected they would send us home for worrying over nothing. But they didn't and then I bled again so they started planning my emcs. In the end it was very calm, and she was born approx 24 hours ago weighing 2.8kg.
Mrb has just gone home to get the baby bag and carseat, though I don't think we'll be going home until tomorrow at the earliest.

She is absolutely gorgeous and we can't quite believe that she is finally here :o

OP posts:
Imps9 · 19/10/2016 09:11

Heeeeeeeee!!!!! She is totally gorgeous!!! If only you'd said when they starting planning the CS, I'd have started pushing!!

Well done Beedles, Mr Beedles and Babybeedles. Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! Flowers

keepitgoing · 19/10/2016 09:53

Huge congratulations lovely beedle! What a long road but so worth it! Were you 37 weeks? How's feeding going? Hope you're feeling good and enjoying the snuggly cuddles. Lots of love

keepitgoing · 19/10/2016 09:56

Did mrb stay in overnight with you? How lovely!

cartoontrickster · 19/10/2016 17:46

Oooooo yay beedles congratulations! I'm not on the face book but I'm sure she is beautiful x
