Morning, another bfn. Temp was 36.48 this morning and yesterday morning was 36.38. Positive opk yesterday and smiley face on cbdigi. These tests are driving me crazy. I don't feel pregnant think it was a fluke test!

I feel a bit of an idiot tbh getting my hopes up. After spending long time on internet I discovered an article about opk and hcg together causing a false hcg. So I put my physics hat on Kate you'll b impressed! So I tried the two tests together again and put them next to each other and it didn't work for me. If u google it a few stories come up. I didn't think I put them too close together but maybe I did maybe the dye from opk went into the hcg one? I peed on them both together side by side (what a skill I've learned) wondering if the antibodies from opk went on to hcg causing this?

What do u girls think? Anyone heard of this? Can only think this happened as I'd be showing up other tests by now. I didn't feel pregnant in the first place and I don't feel now. The odds were against me this cycle. The test really cheesed me off as it got my hopes up. Feel a fool to fall for it. AngryEnvySad

Only positive for me was a lesson learned. Quit the prosecco, popped the folic acid pills, and back on the wagon. Not going to let this destroy me.

Tee4me · 28/08/2016 10:58

Humph that that really sucks Footy, really sorry if it was a really cruel chemistry trick! I guess that kinda makes sense for the pt to have picked up some dye, it was very strong at the edge wasn't it. As we always say, not out yet, and perhaps this was just a dress rehearsal for the real thing very soon. Stay strong and keep your chin up, this will happen for you x
Nothing much to report here, think I'm about 5dpo. Trying to feel hopeful. My mum started with my acupuncturist a week before me for some anxiety and insomnia issues, he has improved her sleeping already! I'm hoping he worked the same magic for me, would be amazing if he was successful on the first cycle! Only time will tell. Really must DTD again, last time was CD14, I always give up very soon after I believe I ovulated and I think that's a mistake. Really should keep going just in case! CD18 is the CD my twin fell, so I'll take that as a sign to try again tonight, then no action for DH until FW next time!! My turn to go on strike Grin

Busta · 28/08/2016 11:05

Your temp is still up though Footy, normally mine starts coming down at 11 DPO (12-13 day LP)

No, this won't destroy us! We will get there (though sometimes it feels like it's impossible)

I am worried they may not do anything Kate - 'just keep trying' is not what I want to hear Angry I think if I have to, I'll beg. Desperate times & all Grin

LondonJem · 28/08/2016 11:44

That would explain the very positive colour on only the edge of the test, if it has transferred from the OPK Sad

How incredibly frustrating, and how could you not get your hopes up? I would have been so excited,

As tee said I hope this is just a dress rehearsal for you footy and your bfp is not far away.

I'm day 12 and haven't been doing any OPKs as we are away. We DTD on day 9 but not since, as I've had a horribly upset tummy. The acupuncturist recommended I take aloe Vera juice. I took it Thursday and Friday and stopped due to intense stomach cramps and diarrhoea Envy which I still have! I feel absolutely rotten like my digestive system is shredded.

Not giving me much hope for this cycle tbh Confused

LondonJem · 28/08/2016 12:23

Okay so we've DTD day 9 and day 12 now Wink feeling back on track with the plan. Just need my stomach to get back to normal!

Tee4me · 28/08/2016 12:45

Haha Jem, good girl!! That's annoying about your tummy. I've heard aloe is good too. Peppermint or ginger tea is also great for digestion.
Are you in NY now?? Maybe it was the anticipation of travelling that set your tummy off, think I remember you saying you were a nervous traveller. Also from memory you ovulate a bit later in your cycle than me, so plenty of time still to line some swimmers up!

LondonJem · 28/08/2016 12:49

It was definitely the aloe tee. I've not had diarrhoea like this in years Confused severe stomach cramps to boot. Nothing like the upset tummy I get when I'm anxious. I am in NYC with the hub Smile not been tooooo anxious about it which I'm really pleased about. We come home tonight, very quick trip!

Footy1 · 28/08/2016 19:45

Jem- aloe Vera can cause allergies. Hope your tum settles soon. Hope you bring a souvenir back from NY WinkHope your DH Stars and Stripes swimmers are the ones!

Thanks for support girls last few days. Feeling a bit better tonight - DH and I went out shopping for a new mattress and ordered a tempura memory cloud one! It was so so comfy like I was floating. Would really support my bump when I'm duffed upGrin
No sign of AF.

Tee- I always ovulated cd11 years ago and when I fell pregnant with my first son it was a delayed ovulation and conceived on cd18. So it can vary - although with temping I guess you would know by temp increase.

Busta/physics. Blood tests are a good way of knowing as they can tell your hormone levels at different stages in your cycle. I don't think there's any harm to beg to be heard!! I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. Just wish it would happen sooner for us all. Hope you both are well. X

Tee4me · 28/08/2016 22:34

Oh I see Jem, it was the aloe that upset you! I thought it was supposed to be a miracle worker for IBS sufferers. I guess one size doesn't fit all! Hope it settles soon.
Glad you hear you feel better Footy! Tempura mattresses are amazing! We bought a new bed for our new loft bedroom, I didn't factor in the expense of a mattress amongst all the million other things we've had to fork out for, but it's not something you want to scrimp on! We found a brand called Simba available through John Lewis, also memory foam style. It's soooooo comfy, I love my new bed Grin

physicskate · 28/08/2016 23:40

We have a matress from the back off the back of a lorry... literally! We were starting to think it might be time for an upgrade!

Cd8. Have had a couple left side ov pains, but WAY too early. It was cute - tonight at dinner dh was saying, so things don't kick off for another week right? He's keeping track!!! So adorable!!

Hope the tum calms down Jem!

Footy - that is such good detective work - but I don't like the conclusion!!! I never wee on anything - I have some plastic cups that I rinse out (sorry tmi!!!!).

Footy1 · 29/08/2016 08:09

Kate, yes my mattress was 16yrs old! And I think I paid £100. Couldn't believe how expensive they are now. Was really shocked.
Well for me I'm going to pee in a jar from now on.

Got some cramps today so think AF on way.

I ended up telling DH and he was surprisingly supportive and said maybe we need sex more regular! U kidding me?! Doh! Has he just worked it outEnvySmile
We've made up, so let's hope i have a good new cycle soon. Tee Around ovulation date I'm going to make sure I treat him like a king so we don't fall out. Going to send myself reminders to stay calm. As we always seem to fall out then!

Tee4me · 29/08/2016 10:52

Ha Kate, our last mattress was literally off the back of a lorry too! I got a lot of stick from friends and family for that!
I forgot to mention Footy that I get positive opks when I approach AF. Sorry if that's your fate this time, but sounds like a good plan lined up for next cycle. I'm definitely going to make sure we nail 3 days in particular: OD-1, OD and OD+1. Like I've said in previous posts, I usually focus so much on the lead up, and end up with only DTD on one of those important CDs. They're so lucky they're treated like kings for that period!! My DH has definitely clocked that he gets his way during this time and can push his luck. Feel like I'm going to run out of steam if this carries on much longer.

LondonJem · 29/08/2016 13:38

Glad to hear you've sorted things out with oh footy, hope you are wrong about AF

All this talk of mattresses is making me want to go bed shopping! Perhaps when if we finally conceive!

Hoping to really nail those days around ovulation this month too, DH is not going away again for a while so the coast is clear for DTD throughout this week WinkBrewStarFootball

Nimisha · 30/08/2016 10:25

Hi all,

Sorry I fell off the radar for a bit. I was on annual leave and after the possible chemical last month just needed to take a break from everything.

I had a lovely holiday, went to a festival, and today is o day so need to get on it tonight!

I'll reply fully later, just wanted to let you know I was back.

physicskate · 30/08/2016 10:47

Welcome back Nimisha!!

DH mentioned pre seed last night and I nearly died!! He is so on board and I had no idea. He's been taking his vit c when I remind him with no complaints and everything!! He even knows roughly that I ov early next week. This whole frustration is really bringing out the best in him!

LondonJem · 30/08/2016 11:14

Hello nim good to have you back Smile

Go mr phyics ! DH asked me last night how my OPK stick was looking and if we needed to have sex? 9 months in and he is getting the programme!

Had a load of EWCM last night so took him up on his offer. Hoping I will ovulate earlier this month, really don't want to be waiting like last month that was stressful Confused

Footy1 · 30/08/2016 13:55

Cd30Star 13dpo

Looks like September is starting with lots of positive things.. Acupuncture for some and lots of dh's/oh's on board!

Pink cm yesterday just a small amount. Not sure what today will bring. Nothing so far.
Temp lower at 36.22 so below coverline.
Bfn of IC still. So just waiting now. Bad pains last night and yesterday. Almost felt like shooting pains from one ovary to the other.

Busta · 30/08/2016 19:23

Hi all!

Welcome back Nim

Glad DH are on board Kate & Jem, hopefully the positive attitudes will lead to positive outcomes for you this month Grin

Hey Footy, sorry your temps are low! Fingers are still crossed for you, but if AF does come at least you know you did ovulate!

Just had our doctors appointment, she was lovely & ordered all the tests including ultrasound - she said we should know everything by 4-6 weeks & then if nothing shows up, she's sending us to a fertility clinic. I think she sees I'm 25 - I'm meant to be at my most fertile Sad

She also said loads if couples get pregnant in that time they are doing tests. She said if she had a pound for all the couples that conceived while awaiting tests then she'd be a wealthy woman.
Sounds promising, but I don't know if we'll be that lucky. Hoping so!

Nothing more to report, CD 9 I think.

Tee4me · 30/08/2016 20:09

Hi all!
Welcome back Nimi! Glad you had a good hol. A break from all the focus on TTC is needed once in a while.
Sounds like you have a thorough doctor there Busta! It's so true about conceiving while waiting for test results, happened to my big sis when she was having recurrent MCs. Hope you are one of the lucky ones!
Kate/Jem I'm jealous of your cooperative DHs, mine is a selfish old sod. He's had the odd supportive moment, but generally I feel on my own with this. He thinks I'm an idiot doing acupuncture.
Got my next app tomorrow, I'll be 8dpo, so hoping if there's a little bean floating about, and the boost of blood flow will help it implant! I feel so nervous and anxious at the moment, don't know why!
Footy sorry you feel AF is imminent, sucks, but you always felt the DTD pattern wasn't as good as it could have been. Incentive to nail it next cycle, God/DH willing!
xxx

Footy1 · 30/08/2016 21:13

Hey Nim, welcome back too.
I'm sure my DH will slip off the wagon at some point within the cycle tee but for now I'm grasping his balls literally to keep at it for a bit! Smile
*
Busta* that's exactly what happened to me first time. I went for tests and then boom! So let's hope it's the case for you.

So girls.. Guess what - ewcm today and another positive opk! So on the wagon I go... Crazy cycle. Almost swore today as I thought what???! If temps don't rise tomorrow im on the pills to bring on AF so I can get back on the clomid. Crazy

Footy1 · 31/08/2016 11:22

Well been up since 4am throwing up! Feel terrible. Still feeling sick now and looking after the two boys. I think it's a bug or something I ate as also got upset tummy.
I feel for those who feel sick being pregnant as its given me a taster and I'm really not looking forward to it and would struggle to cope with the school runs. Fingers crossed I'd b lucky and not get the sickness.

Temp same so I'm going to take the pills later to induce AF. Think im struggling to ovulate and I'm needing a bleed as I only spotted last cycle.

Mimi- how you getting on with the clomid? Any side effects? I'm still getting hot flashes even though wasn't on it this cycle?! Have you ov yet?

How is everyone ? X

ps2304 · 31/08/2016 11:43

Footy are you definately not pregnant?! Would those tablets do any harm if you are?

Footy1 · 31/08/2016 12:11

Def not pregnant. I wouldn't be so sick like this without a BFP showing. Tested yesterday and this morning. I have no other symptoms breasts don't hurt or anything and temp is really low below coverline.

Been sick again - feel dreadful.

Footy1 · 31/08/2016 12:17

Ps the tablets are norethisterone which is progesterone. Says u shouldn't take them if pregnant but people have without knowing and have had no reported effects. If I was and on them then AF wouldn't show when it's suppose to. But really don't think I am. Think it's a bug and that I haven't ovulated due to the mix up with last AF/coming off clomid this cycle.

LondonJem · 31/08/2016 19:27

Oh footy! What a lot to muddle through. So do you think your body has been trying to ovulate all this time? Sorry you are sick too that sounds awful. I hope all of this settles down so you crack onto the next cycle.

Hello tee how was acupuncture? I've just had my second session. He put needles in my tummy, top of my feet and lower leg and one in my forehead. Felt very relaxed and still do Halo he asked me to give the aloe Vera another go but take less and dilute it. I think I might wait to have one normal poo before I go there! My bowels seem to have stopped all together now ConfusedConfused

It's day 15 today and I had a lovely positive OPK today and lots of niggly ovary pains. All on track for me and we have DTD days 9, 12, 13, 14 so far so can't really ask more than that. Will keep going through this week to make sure we are fully covered. I do like a cycle where I feel like I've done everything I can Wink

How is everyone else doing, summer, pepper are you still with us? Grads?
