Hello radders glad to hear all going well

Fantastic news purple congratulations!

Hi mimi hope you alright Flowers

Keeping fx for you tee

I'm sugar craving today - another classic PMS. I did read though that the week after ovulation you do get PMS symptoms because you're not actually pregnant yet. So progesterone crashes in and affects your moods, energy levels, boobs etc as usual. It's not until after it implants that hcg starts creeping in and you slowly start to get signs of pregnancy.

So hopefully these early PMS signs for me don't mean anything /clutchesatstraws Blush

Mimilicious013 · 09/08/2016 11:12

Fx jem
It's weird how we always get hopeful and even when you tell yourself you are relaxed, you end up just obsessing.
Aaah I can't wait to get it over and done with.

LondonJem · 09/08/2016 12:02

Yes I hear you. I doesn't matter how much DTD we have now, as soon as I'm post ovulation I tell myself I'm out again this month and start planning the next cycle. It's madness.

Footy1 · 09/08/2016 12:47

My relaxed approach is now combining the clearblue ovulation sticks with the Amazon IC 's as I want to know for sure what's happening BlushConfused..my results are- a dark positive on IC (darker than control line) but an empty face on the CB digital ovulation one. So according to that I'm not at my peak or anything yet? No clomid this cycle so it's not that triggering false reading? EWCM present and a few niggling twinges in ovary region so feel as though something is going on. I'll test again later and tomorrow as will be interesting to see when I'm at my peak?

I'm fed of it all too tbh! Nearly threw a wobbler as DH was tired last night. Poor man! Had to work very hard to get him in the mood. It's so tiring.. When it happens naturally it's never the right time is it?! Typical

Footy1 · 09/08/2016 12:50

Contemplating buying some stockings or something for tonight?! Lol

Pepper2016 · 09/08/2016 15:13

OMG congrats purple! That's fantastic! Very happy for you.
I so wish it was that easy for everyone.

Haha foot! May have some in my drawer ready too! Just found out DH parents are coming for a bit on our break in sept Hmm so not sure how much Dtd we will do.

Mim & Jem completely agree. It's so time consuming all this ttc. I just want to be PG. my friend is due this weekend. I can't help have bit of green eyed monster

LondonJem · 09/08/2016 15:34

The last thing you need is OPK tests not agreeing with each other Hmm sounds like you need to just keep up the DTD footy. Your DH is going to need a medal.

Pepper at cycle 13 it doesn't sound like it's been easy for purpleowl. I think there's lots to be said for the relaxed approach though. I just can't quite give up the OPKs.. Need to POAS too much!

Jodders · 09/08/2016 15:47

Hi ladies, sorry to hear you are all so frustrated. I really think less DTD might be the way to go. We def did it less when we got PG.

Congratulations Purple!!

I am 13 weeks today. Have my first midwife appointment tomorrow hoping I get a quick peep at baby too!

Pepper2016 · 09/08/2016 15:56

Sorry didn't mean easy as in quick, mean as didn't think about it so it happened. Trying to write quickly as at work but would help if I typed correctly Smile

I'm the same Jem. I try to just forget about it but then get the urge to poas too much. Was
Talking to my sil on Sunday and she just went with the flow and got pregnant too. I might hide my OPKs this month and see how I go

LondonJem · 09/08/2016 18:07

Tempted to say I'll join you going blind pepper but I know that as soon as I get to fw next cycle I will want to know!

Anyone else loving the olympics? I could watch it all day.

Footy1 · 09/08/2016 19:50

Loving the Olympics Jem. Watched the synchronised diving last night and was amazed how they could time it so well.
Feel the same about need to Poas. Graduates do u miss Poas?! Ha ha

Pepper - I didn't take any opks on holiday but googled whilst I was there where to get some. Was crazy.. I didn't in the end but was on cm check and knicker check the whole time so wished I had them.

Jodders- hope it goes well tomorrow.

Radders- how did u get on today? X

radderss · 09/08/2016 21:55

Footprints I've not even looked into anything yet. Think will start doing more so after scan tomorrow and when start feeling better.
That must be so confusing with different results from different tests! I guess that's why best to dtd just regularly as you never really can be sure when ovulating.

I have awful oesophagus and chest pain today - new symptom for me. I've read and think it's basically heartburn. Never had heartburn like this! It really hurts.

Tee hope AF stays away tomorrow for you.

LondonJem · 10/08/2016 08:26

Another great night of Olympic viewing. The gymnastics are insane!

Heartburn does not sound fun radders I hope you can take stuff for it

tee how are you doing? I hope no AF - fingers x for you

I'm having a relatively calm TWW Shock I think the Olympics are helping! As well as an underlying feeling of "this will just never happen" Hmm symptom spotting at an all time low - hurrah.

Footy1 · 10/08/2016 09:24

Yes enjoyed it too last night Jem.
Health kick for me this week and a bit of exercise today. Went cycling with my boys yesterday and my legs felt a bit jelly afterwards!

Radders- I drank gaviscon when pregnant. Worked almost immediately. Hope today goes well, sorry thought it was yesterday.

Tee - how u? Hope AF staying away.

Mission was complete last night! Another one in the bag Smile DH didn't make it easy as he went to bed early &tired so I had to wake him up. Tactic used was not the stockings as he wouldn't have been able to see them being so tired. But .. Wait for it.... A packet of Doritos! Yes I said Doritos. His favourites! Sat in bed next to him crunching the world away with a big packet of Doritos. That stirred him and he sat up sharing this seductive packet of crisps.. Then I took my opportunity on the last crisp.. And jumped him. GrinWink mission complete.

This morning my temp took a big dive 36.21 so think ovulation might be today or tomorrow.

LondonJem · 10/08/2016 09:33

Hahahahaha at Doritos! That's a new one Grin good work!

Footy1 · 10/08/2016 09:35

Jodders- hope midwife appt goes well.

Pepper- are u ditching the opks this cycle? I can't I just feel so in the dark without them.

Purple- how far gone are you do u know?
Did u have any symptoms before? Or any now? And how many dpo were u to test? Sorry so many questions. You must be so pleased.

Mimi- sorry you are getting depressed with ttc, I totally get you. It's so tiring! A big high and big low each month when hope diminishes. I'm trying to focus on other things too which is not easy but a step in the right direction. Going canoeing this week with the boys (we were supposed to go last week) but the whole spotting thing I didn't want to risk over exerting myself. Crazy I know. This cycle in trying to have fun.

Pepper2016 · 10/08/2016 10:20

Footy that's hilarious! Love that it worked!

Jem well done for being calm, it's so hard sometimes.

Mimi I hope you're ok. It's mentally exhausting all the emotions of ttc.

I'm very tempted to ditch the OPKs this month or whether to use this month but forget them when we go away in sept. Cd4 today wish the witch would leave now! Going clubbercise tonight so that should make me feel better

physicskate · 10/08/2016 10:43

Hi all!

CD 20 4 dpo. Boobs a bit tender, which happened last month (when I had the cp, but also might just be I am more aware of symptoms...).

So if this month is successful (fingers crossed!!!!) due date would be end of April, which would work with maternity leave etc... but too close to summer is something I'd rather avoid. So, next month (if there is one), no opks and no temping! It might drive me nuts, but I really need to stop obsessing so much. It ain't healthy! Seems so funny that once again several of us are at the same sort of point within ttc, ditching opks just to play fast and loose with this business!!!

Congrats purple!! See another relaxed practitioner!!

Jodders · 10/08/2016 12:07

All done! They think maybe I'm another week ahead as measuring 14 weeks. Said they wouldn't change dates just yet til 20 weeks scan though. At this rate though I'll be due soon as they keep moving me forward.
Baby was very camera shy lol! They gave me a pic but baba is face down lol. At first baba was facing outwards and it was weird looking. Could see its legs and pelvis so clearly like legs spread open. I'm sure doc could have told me the sex as it was so clear. I didn't see any dangly bits but my eyesight wouldn't be the best.

physicskate · 10/08/2016 12:28

Aw Jodders!! That is so fantastic... Must have been quite emotional! And no wonder you were feeling peaky on your hols back in June! Hope you're feeling better now...

Tee4me · 10/08/2016 12:30

Hi all,
No AF yet but feeling very AFy and usual cramps, so really any minute. BFN on IC. Hello cycle 10, double figures now, I can't believe it. Have booked docs to talk about starting tests. Acupuncture at 4.15 today.
Jodders that's awesome, ooo maybe a little girl, won't be long til you know (assuming you'll find out)
Footy that's hilarious about the Doritos!! I mentioned to hubby about abstaining until ovulation. He wasn't keen!! He doesn't like having a 'strategy', but at cycle 10 I think we need to be open about what we need to try, rather than me having my own agenda. Need his cooperation on the abstaining thing, as that obviously includes him releasing solo! I might have to suggest some kind of reward... who needs kids when we have husbands hey??!! Grin
Jem/Physics/Mimi hope you are luckier than me this month!
Pepper we're on a similar page in our cycles now... xx

Jodders · 10/08/2016 15:19

Have any of you thought about or done reiki to help TTC?

Pepper2016 · 10/08/2016 15:36

How exciting jodders. Bet it was lovely to see the little one. I've never had it done, did you before conceiving?

Yes Tee let's hope it worksConfused

Tee4me · 10/08/2016 16:07

Just about to go into my first acupuncture session. Been reading some success stories to boost me up!

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/94739-acupuncture-for-fertility-success-stories-please

Pepper was it you who tired it? If so, did you keep it up?

Jodders haven't tried reiki, probably a step too far down the occupational route for my liking, but could help with relaxation? I do yoga weekly x

Footy1 · 10/08/2016 18:55

Tee- let us know how you got on. I've been for my neck and back but not for fertility. Heard quite a few success stories too. Good you have booked a chat with the doctor you never know just that feeling like something is in progress might help u relax and get your BFP. I'm all for getting checked as there's no harm in it. Too much sex before ovulation makes my DH tired for the crucial time. So hard isn't it, you think they would be up for it all the time.

Hi Kate, my friend also struggled with conceiving the right time around school holidays etc.. Must be tricky. Would you go back after maternity leave?

Jodders- my brother does reiki and swears by it. I haven't tried it. Glad your scan went well. Is your DH more happier/excited about it now?

Pepper- clubbersize sounds fun!
