Hi all, I'm starting the July Bus so that we can all cheer each other along even in the very early stages!!

I'm here following the arrival of my AF yesterday so I will now be hoping to get my BFP in July.

My stats: 32, TTC#2, Cycle 2 and CD2.

I've just realised how many number 2's there are in my stats Grin

My cycles aren't too regular following a Mirena removal and a miscarriage earlier this year but I am expecting my FW to start around the 20th of June.

Looking forward to having lots of passengers on this bus followed by lots of us getting our BFPs Grin

mrsgsnow I share your pain! I caved and tested this morning too (11dpo) and BFN. I was almost certain it would be due to only BD once in FW, temps and no symptoms so only confirmed what I already knew. Need AF to hurry up now and on to cycle 4.

Mimilicious013 · 12/07/2016 09:23

Sorry to everyone who got a visit from the witchFlowers
Best of luck to those with bfn s.hope a sneaky bfp Is around the corner(u are not out till af shows)

I'm having the worst experience ever. Cd38 of a usually 24 day cycle. Clear bfn and no sign of af.I honestly don't need this on cycle 13!! Ttc is messing with my sanity.

BertieBotts · 12/07/2016 09:47

My temps are going down so I am out. I'm not going to join August since we're taking a more relaxed approach currently. I will see you (hopefully not all of you, fingers crossed for some graduates!) on the September or October bus. :)

MrsGsnow18 · 12/07/2016 12:20

Good luck Bertie
Sorry knitting although the digital tests are generally not as sensitive. So again you're not out until AF shows up!
Same for you Eva! Your quite early still!
Littlesparkes guess our bodies are just playing tricks on us Sad any sign of AF? Or any more testing?

LittleSparkes · 12/07/2016 13:53

MrsG, I am having no cramps and no spotting which for me would suggest the arrival of AF.

You say the digital tests aren't as sensitive? I did a clearblue digital this morning that show a BFN, does that mean that it still could be? So confusing. What are the best tests?

MrsGsnow18 · 12/07/2016 15:24

I find the whole sensitivity of test thing confusing but aparently and I know I've read lots on MN digital ones usually detect 25mlU/ml whereas some early tests are 10mlU/ml.
However I read online somewhere earlier (because I'm still obsessively googling to find out why I have no AF and BFN Confused) that you are considered pregnant if your HCG level is 25 or above!
This has confused me a lot. I reckon now though that I must def be out, I'm on CD35 and would be 13dpo. So if I was pregnant j should be able to get a positive on even a less sensitive 25mlU/Ml digital test because by now I should have that high of a level at least.
Does that make any sense?Confused

LittleSparkes · 12/07/2016 15:29

MrsG Kind of [confused} but i don't think you are out.

I'm CD 20 - 15DPO but still getting the BFN! I read that some women don't show on tests till 2 weeks after AF due. plus your period isn't considered missed till 5 days after your AF is due. Baring that in mind I still have 3 more days till my period is considered missed... as I have no AF symptoms I am confident it isn't going to show.
I mean - you know your body and how you feel. I just get the sense that this month is my one. I hope it is for you too!

LittleSparkes · 12/07/2016 15:29

AHHH I meant to say CD 30! I'm CD 30 and 15 DPO

MrsGsnow18 · 12/07/2016 15:35

Littlesparkes haha now we're both confused! I hope you are right! I hope this is both our months! Star
I'm encouraged by stories online of longer implantation and ladies with lower hormone levels etc not getting BFPs until as late as 19dpo! So Keeping everything crossed!

I am so distracted by it, I have done very little except Google all day Blush

LittleSparkes · 12/07/2016 15:37

I know, fortunately my job means I am just on the phone to clients all day - keeping my hands free to Google why my womb is lying to me.

And I feel really nervously excited! Grin

LittleSparkes · 12/07/2016 17:39

Plus I'm super bloated....

Late joiner here. I was put off after being a day late for AF last month and DP finding my test and asking 'are you doing ANOTHER' pregnancy test'? Made me feel like does he not actually want to ttc?

BUT after a chat it turns out he wants us to test together so I need to stop hiding everything...comes from years of him not wanting kids though I keep it all inside!

Anyway..

SoozC · 13/07/2016 07:11

I can't, Sparkes, but I often can't see them when others can. Fx for you!

MrsGsnow18 · 13/07/2016 07:19

I'm not sure if I can see anything either littlesparkes Did you retest this morning?
AF arrived for me so sadly that's me out Sad

LittleSparkes · 13/07/2016 07:28

This mornings.. Still no sign of AF
I'm really confused. I'm starting to question whether my spotting midcycle was actually a period (even though it was much too light to be one)
I'm now CD 31 (of 27) and 16DPO

Butterpuff · 13/07/2016 09:16

Fx LittleSparkes your not out until AF gets here.

Sorry for AF MrsGSnow

Good luck everyone else, pleased your DH is on board haveacupoftea

I'm on CD 36 today which is when AF arrived last month (though I average a 34 day cycle) not feeling pregnant or premenstrual so I'll just have to wait and see. I wont be testing until Saturday as I hate a BFN and by then AF should have arrived if she is going to.

Is it possible for a cycle to just keep getting longer. I hope that's not a bad sign.

MrsGsnow18 · 13/07/2016 09:37

Sorry littlesparkes it's so confusing, hope you can figure it out soon! Flowers

butterpuff I admire your patience!! Prob best way to keep your sanity intact! Grin

I'm off now to the August bus. Good luck for anyone still on the July bus!! Hope there will soon be some BFPs! Star

Eva30 · 13/07/2016 12:27

Sorry for AF mrsG
The strangest thing is happening. I was convinced I was out for this month (bfn yesterday 11dpo) but today I have got cramps but it's too early for PMS for me. AF isn't due until Sunday and I don't usually get them til the day before. Part of me has a glimmer of hope and part of me thinks AF is coming early. This is my first time TTC so have nothing to compare to, has anyone had BFN early on and gone on to have BFP?

LittleSparkes · 13/07/2016 12:30

EVA i'm CD 31 of a 28 Day cycle - 16 DPO. And I'm still showing negative. I truely think I will get a positive soon as I am never this late
FX

Eva30 · 13/07/2016 12:46

I have everything crossed for both of us littlesparkes. Are you having any cramps?
God I hate waiting. For BFP, for AF, for FW etc etc!

SoozC · 13/07/2016 13:02

I think I'm out this month as had pink spotting today, af due around Saturday. Off to book a doc appointment. Desperately trying not to let it get me down, as it makes DP sad too and then we're a sad little household :(

Sorry to ignore everyone else's situations - normal service will resume once af is fully underway.

Barefootcontessa84 · 13/07/2016 13:23

Feeling very crampy today - 12dpo - holding out to test until Friday, but these cramps feel like AF... littlesparkes fingers crossed for you!! I really hope it works out for you, but I had a really frustrating time last month with lots of BFNs - AF finally showed on CD37 (usually 28-30 day cycle). Have you been on holiday/travelled etc that might be delaying things?

BertieBotts · 13/07/2016 13:50

You're considered pregnant if your HCG is 5 or above, not 25. They just use 25 because the threshold isn't perfectly exact with these tests, so it's far enough away from 5 you don't get false positives.

Also, MrsG, it's not necessarily the case you'd have a positive at 16dpo. It depends what your starting HCG level is. It's common to have some HCG in your system about up to 5 mIU. Then it doubles over 48 or 72 hours. If you have a naturally low non-pregnant HCG level, say 2 at implantation, implantation happens on average, say 9dpo (if you have any idea when implantation was you can narrow this down) and your HCG is doubling in 72 hours, then the earliest you'd get a positive on a standard (25 mIU) test would be around 20dpo and that would be faint, you'd need to wait longer for it to be clear. (You can add/remove days if you know the probable implantation date)

If you're more lucky and you start at 6 with your HCG doubling every 48 hours, keep implantation at 9dpo for comparison,
you might actually be lucky enough to get a faint positive on a sensitive test at 11dpo but more likely you'd have to wait until 16/17dpo for one on a standard test.

Your luteal phase generally doesn't change length. So if you know 100% when you ovulated you can predict when your period will be, if it's more than a day or two late, it's highly probable that you're pregnant. If you don't know when you ovulated for sure, then this is a bit more tricky because of course late ovulation can result in a late period with no other cause.

Good luck everyone!

BertieBotts · 13/07/2016 13:53

11dpo is very early to test, Eve, I got a BFN at 11dpo before and then tested pregnant later.

In fact the same thing happened with DS except I can't remember what the gap was between the BFN and BFP as we weren't "trying" as such.
