Hi all, I'm starting the July Bus so that we can all cheer each other along even in the very early stages!!

I'm here following the arrival of my AF yesterday so I will now be hoping to get my BFP in July.

My stats: 32, TTC#2, Cycle 2 and CD2.

I've just realised how many number 2's there are in my stats Grin

My cycles aren't too regular following a Mirena removal and a miscarriage earlier this year but I am expecting my FW to start around the 20th of June.

Looking forward to having lots of passengers on this bus followed by lots of us getting our BFPs Grin

Poppydm · 07/07/2016 17:09

Definitely Lizzie! Congratulations!! Thanks Sparkles. DH hasn't been very well but he's been so good being all enthusiastic when I'm pestering him ha ha! Might try again tonight. Do you usually class the dpo from the day after your OPK. So for example I'll likely ovulate tomorrow so Saturday would be 1dpo?

Lelly0503 · 07/07/2016 17:10

Can't miss that line Lizzie! All that worry you had too, just shows what can change in your body in a few days, massive congrats xx

babydances · 07/07/2016 17:33

So I now have my implant out as of today. It was 10 months out of date and we have been trying for 3 cycles. How do I work out my Fw? Any ideas Grin

Lizziedoll · 07/07/2016 17:47

I'm so happy

Poppydm · 07/07/2016 18:02

Ah fab line! Huge congrats! Have you told DH yet?

MishyBakes · 07/07/2016 18:18

Yay Lizzie that's such wonderful news! Many congrats! That's a stonker of a line, can't argue with that Smile

MrsGsnow18 · 07/07/2016 18:23

Congratulations Lizzie!! Amazing news!!

littlesparkes I feel similar! I was convinced AF had arrived when I was out because I could feel it and very crampy but turns out it's just CM ( sorry TMI)
I'm not going to torture myself with any more testing though to see if AF actually arrives in next few days. I'm off to buy some chocolate and wine in preparation Sad

Lizziedoll · 07/07/2016 18:41

Yes! My partner is over the moon! We've decided to wait 3 months to tell anyone. How likely is it that it doesn't "stick"? Sorry I'm new to this (it's our first baby!)

Mimilicious013 · 07/07/2016 19:44

congrats LizzieFlowers
Fx for you mrsg.am in the same boat. Just waiting for af to show but nothing

CinnamonTwist · 07/07/2016 19:46

Congrats lizzie! I found this info online which may help, we are telling parents this weekend (I'll be 6w on Tuesday) and close family next weekend, as we'd tell them if we miscarried anyway/ and would want their support, everyone else will be after 12 wk scan. It's very hard keeping it secret if you see people a lot!

Fantastic lizzie, massive congrats! They are great lines, how many dpo are you? Did you have any symptoms except for cramps?

Eva30 · 07/07/2016 20:03

Fingers crossed for you lelly and sparkles
babydances I'm happy for you - it felt like ages ago since you were counting down to getting that out!!

babydances · 07/07/2016 20:12

Thanks @eva30! Yes it is getting sore now so won't use my arm. Been told not to go to the gym or my pole fitness class for a good 5 days. I'm so eager to get babydancing now!

babydances · 07/07/2016 20:16

Congrats to all the BFP coming out of this bus Star

Lizziedoll · 07/07/2016 20:45

Thanks everyone! eva I have no idea when I ovulated but I think we conceived on June 19 so I think I'm around 18 or so dpo? I feel worried this evening as I didn't realise chemical pregnancies were so common and I feel I shouldn't have told my partner so soon in case it happens to me too Sad. Symptom wise I had twinges around implantation, sore boobs, swollen nipples and lower tummy, however most symptoms went away and started cramping so thought AF was on her way! However the sore boobs are back as well as lower back pain, and my nipples and lower tummy are still swollen. I woke up at 3am and ate 2 packs of super noodles and did think it was a strange thing to do Hmm

BertieBotts · 07/07/2016 21:08

Lizzie I wouldn't worry about chemical or that 1-2 weeks figure. The purple graph is fine though. (It comes from here which is a useful site). The image which is just text doesn't look very reliable to me (1-2 weeks pregnant is before ovulation even occurs... which doesn't make much sense, plus it has a typo and no referencing) It's true around 60% of fertilised eggs never implant but in that case you wouldn't get a positive test in the first place.

The only 75% figure I can find is about chemical pregnancies accounting for 75% of all miscarriages. In this case it just means any miscarriage which happens after implantation (3 weeks) but before anything is visible on a scan (about 6 weeks). In the UK, possibly later than 6 weeks because we tend to scan later than other countries. So basically it's saying that if you're going to miscarry, it's far more likely to happen earlier than later, which is exactly what the graph/table in the link says. It doesn't mean chemical pregnancy is common as such, as it's partially counted in the 25% miscarriage statistics.

Once you get to 4 weeks/14dpo, your risk is at 25% overall and it just gets lower every day.

It's really normal for symptoms to wax and wane. Try not to worry if symptoms go away or change. And it's good to tell your partner - he'll want to be involved I'm sure and if the worst happens you'll need to support each other. I'm sure it won't though - if you're 18dpo, you're almost down to 20% risk already. I did find it really reassuring to see the stats dropping like they do.

As you've had a positive test if you do start bleeding you can go to the early pregnancy unit at your local hospital. They won't be able to prevent anything happening this early but you can always have things logged which can help if you find you have recurrent miscarriages.

The odds are in your favour though :) Take heart!

Lizziedoll · 07/07/2016 21:15

bertiebotts thank you very much you have been so helpful and I feel a bit reassured. Have a lovely evening Smile

BertieBotts · 07/07/2016 21:21

I'm going to bed Grin it's an hour later here and I'm shattered!

Mamato1 · 07/07/2016 21:32

Hi all!
Holding a space whilst I await the arrival of AF.
TTC#2
Cycle 1
Currently on CD 26 when cycles are usually 24 days so 2 days late. Several (5+!) -ve HPTs already Blush. Symptoms come and go but I imagine it's mostly in my head
Everything crossed for lots of BFPs in July Smile

ScandiManny · 07/07/2016 21:41

Congratulations Lizzie! Smile

LittleSparkes · 07/07/2016 21:44

Congrats Lizzie

Lizziedoll · 07/07/2016 22:35

Thank you! If I ovulated around July 20, how many weeks gone am I? I'm really confused, seeing the doctor tomorrow

Mamato1 · 07/07/2016 23:32

Lizzie: Count the weeks from the first day of your last period. That'll tell you how many weeks you are.
Congratulations to all BFPs :)
