Hello there what are your experiences of getting pregnant whilst breastfeeding? Has anybody done it, if so how old was your bfing baby? and how often were you bfing?

Sorry for not getting back. DS was on only 1-2 bf a day by then (first thing and last thing). I must also admit that frequency of feeds does not seem to have influenced when my periods came back. DS was 4m when I had my 1st one. He fed 2-3 hourly day and night. DD on the other hand fed 3-4 hourly and slept through the night from 3 weeks(!) however I didn't start having any periods until she was about one! Even though by then I had been working full time for 6m!
So I'd say relax and I would also recommend a 2y gap. They're best of friends, but ds was already completely mobile and fairly independent when dd was born. Also I suffered from SPD and I would have found it v. difficult to carry my ds around a lot.

Sorry to make myself clear. SPD is a pelvic problem in pregnancy. So I think I would have struggled with being pregnant and still having to care for a baby too.
