I know what u mean about little Ines being hard work , how old is ur DD now ? Ours will be 3 soon and it's amazing how her vocabulary has come on , she's really getting a personality ( to put it that way !) lol Duno where she gets the bossy phrases from x still got fingers tightly crossed for u ! X
Kellz hope the doctor manages to get u some answers ! Glad ur getting the chill time at home , u must b needing ur feet up with that ever growing bump ! Rest up ! X
Jennie - hope ur feeling better , sounds like ur very organised with all the baby shopping , we used most of the same stuff for bby#2 would have loved a spare room to decorate for him , really running out of space with the two of them x hope ur keeping well other than shingles ! Sounds rough x X

I'm trying to suss out the best method for birth control now as I think we will settle with 2 , a lot of my doctors have said the coil ? Was wondering if any of u ladies had any experiences with it ? I'm concerned that it will hurt getting it fitted ? Or any bad points about it ? Xx

I won't go into details but last night had the most disastrous attempt ever to dtd! It was probably the day after ovulation so if anything was successful it'd be a miracle... luckily we can both laugh about it.

My mum and sister both have the coil. My hubby is going for the snip after baby is here. I'm happy with two as well. I have had the implant twice, once was fab second was horrendous

I had the coil before this attempt and it was brilliant. I read some horror stories but it was only a little uncomfortable to be fitted, out in a flash and didn't bleed with it in.

Not sure we'll be sorting contraception as may try for a 3rd...would love a 3rd, but "Omnia Causa Fiunt" and we only have a 3 bed house!! :-/

BFN this morning. Was really hoping this would be the month for it to finally happen. We started in Spring and winter is fast approaching. Previously I have been duped into thinking I had pregnancy symptoms but I'd never had the tender boobs as a symptom - I've only ever had that the once when prg. Well this time I'd been noticing they were sensitive and thought that might mean this month was different. But no dice.

Having a crap time in everything else too. My little boy has been sick all week, he's hardly had a week at a time when he's been 100% and it's taking its toll. Sorry for downer just had to get it out somewhere.

Hi ladies do you mind if I join you? I'm in need of a bit of support from people who understand the difficulty that ttc no 2 can be.

We started in march ttc #2 in march and naively thought it would just happen having conceived DD on the first cycle, she is two this month.

I've just had my second miscarriage in six weeks, both have been around the 6 week mark. Talking to the dr the advice was basically just try again it's most probably bad luck. I know I can conceive and carry a pregnancy as I have a beautiful two year old to show for it but just feel that something has changed since I conceived DD as it's taken us 7 months to get this far and my cycles have been really short that whole time (22-25days). I'm wondering if I have low progesterone have booked GP appointment this week to see if they will at least start some simple blood tests, anyone had luck getting tests before 3 mc or 1 year?

I know 7 months isn't that long compared to some but the second miscarriage in such a short time has really knocked me.

I have great support from DH, family and friends in RL but not sure they quite understand what I am going through.

Sorry to see you got a BFN black, sounds like we have been trying a similar amount of time, it's really all consuming isn't.

Honey I'm sorry for your second mc! I'm fortunate that I'm 23 weeks pregnant but it was on my 13th cycle! My daughter was a surprise. I also had a mc last year it's horrible.

I definitely recommend getting some blood tests done and have everything crossed that you get your bfp soon, this thread is full of lovely ladies xx

MsY87 that sounds awful, I'm in a similar boat but without having had the mcs. Conceived first cycle with my first who's nearly 2. Been trying for 7 or 8 months now and having shorter cycles too than I used to. GPs basically said they won't do anything til 2 year but in your situation you might have more of a case?

Good luck and hoping it happens soon. Just about to start trying again but feeling quite bleak to be honest. Last month was the last month that the age gap would be 2.5 years or less, and I can't see any reason to be positive as feeling like we're doing everything 'right'.

Kellz congratulations on your pregnancy , it's good to know it can happen even if it takes some time.

Mimi and cherries sorry you are both feeling low, it's so hard not to get down about it isn't it, just feeling like it will never happen for you. I think it makes it harder when you conceived #1 easily as that is the exception for #2 as well. I was so focused on the age gap to start with but I'm just trying to remind myself that it really doesn't matter, I'm 4&5 years older than my siblings and we are all very close so I keep reminding myself of that, it's hard though as sometimes I feel like I'm sad that I won't have the family I had planned in my head, I've always wanted 3 and now I'm worried I may not even have 2 and that is hard to come to terms with.

I'm sorry your GP wasn't helpful cherries I'm thinking I may look into going private if my GP won't do any tests as the mc are worrying me. Mimi have you started on tests? Best of luck to you both this month

mrsy I was on clomid the last two cycles. This will be my last month trying before I drive myself insane lol. I will go back on the pill as soon as af comes again.

i first posted back in April, and have been lurking since...Hope its ok to join back in again? Nice to see some successes, and sorry to those that havent had theirs yet, fingers crossed it wont be long for everyone. I am now 39 and at 2 years TTC#2 and other than the ectopic a year ago now, we've had no success, so we have just started with IVF. I've had all the tests and so far there seems to be nothing wrong with either of us, all tests have been ok or good, so dont know why we havent had any luck, but hopefully spending my life savings will give us a positive result at last. xx

Hi all, thanks for asking about me the couple that did I've been purposely quiet cause we've booked a holiday that won't take you over 34w, and the cutoff for that was was yesterday. I'm ov. now but we weren't going to DtD cause it was too close, but we kinda did anyway! Very much doubt anything will come of it, but I was going to take norethisterone to delay AF since its DH's 30th in two weeks so now I'm at a loss of what to do! If I take a test and it's +ve then I won't be able to drink over his birthday, but if I don't take the norethisterone and I'm not pg. then I don't want AF to come during his birthday either!

Hi mimi - I'm not there yet...not started stimms yet, so a while to go til we are through the process one way or the other, but hopefully like you say we will get lucky! Doesn't half take the romance out of making a baby... but then again after 2 years of 'trying' there wasn't much of that anyway.. . Hope you are all getting on ok & wishing you good luck for this cycle xx
