Morning Smile

Mirena is coming out in 2 weeks time, and we will be TTC DC2 pretty much straight after. Anyone else in the same/similar boat and want to chat?

Yea same here physicskate my DP is happy to try but he doesn't want to know all the details, just DTD and let him know if it works! :-) I don't mind that, just means I need to find some other way of talking about it.

My cycle is very regular 28/29 days like clockwork so I'm hoping that's a good sign. I'm sure yours will settle down soon if it's been five months, and you have a good few years on me so I'm sure it'll be fine :-)

physicskate · 04/04/2016 16:08

I think it's more that my work has been super stressful (I'm a teacher and the pressure this year has been incredibly unreal and unrealistic). The copper coil is non-hormonal so it's not meant to mess with my cycles! It makes me think there could be something underlying like polycystic ovaries or something.... but hey, we'll cross that bridge if it comes! My cycles have changed a lot over the past few years..

I too am here to vent about it if needs be as I don't really want to tell people we're trying cause that will just add to the pressure/ stress.

Physics do you have any hobbies where you can let off a bit of steam? Swimming, Yoga or some vigorous knitting even Grin a bit of a tangent but having a couple of friends in teaching, it makes me so bloody cross what the government are putting on you all and the parents expectations when a lot do fuck all with their kids at home.

My story has just got even more complicated! If trying straight after a vasectomy wasn't hard enough, now I've gone and got a new job. Finally getting round to taking some semi-intensive driving lessons too. AF meant to show up. I usually come on in the early hours. Nothing. Took a test I had lying around before my interview this morning. Faint line. Picked up another brand and did that slightly darker faint line.

Just when we had given up and we're moving on. I'll try and post a pic of the tests. Planning on taking another on Sunday.

Thoughts?

First one taken was the CB at the top. They are faaaaaint. But they are there, right? I'm not imagining things?

I think I'm still in shock!

How are you getting on Mamma?

physicskate · 15/04/2016 18:35

Hobbies? What are those?? You mean drinking wine and watching telly for an hour in a evening aren't hobbies?? WinkAnd they've just announced we're being inspected next week! There goes the weekend (I normally get some time off Sunday afternoon)...

I'm definitely re-evaluating my 'career' choice with respect to having a LO! No feasible!

physicskate · 15/04/2016 18:35

Massive congrats hippy!!!!

DippyHippy2016 · 15/04/2016 19:35

Physics they definitely count! Oh Sad best of luck for next week. Nice of them to spring it on you!

Do you have any ideas of what you might want to do instead?

Thank you Blush I'll keep you updated.

physicskate · 15/04/2016 20:11

Perhaps electrical engineering, though I would need a work sponsored degree for that... mine aren't close enough! Otherwise, I am open to suggestions!

Currently CD5 and I generally OV sometime CD 20+, so I've got awhile to wait before it gets interesting!

Congrats again! I can't wait to join the BFP club! -even though slightly terrified too!-

DippyHippy2016 · 16/04/2016 14:22

Is that something you're hoping to start before conceiving or to go into after mat leave?

A little wait but you can get some practice in DTD in the meantime Grin

I couldn't wait and took another test this morning. Only faint still. Should've just waited!

physicskate · 16/04/2016 15:15

After sprog #1 - if we get that far! fingers crossed it doesn't take years!

DippyHippy2016 · 16/04/2016 15:27

There's only so many inspections a gal can go through. Fingers crossed for you x x x

I got the Implant out a couple of months ago. This month I got my first positive ovulation test. My next period isn't due till 10th May. I know I shouldn't expect to get pregnant right away but I'm still going to be gutted if I get a negative test. Anyone else got this problem? I'm trying to tell myself to be patient but this is my first time ttc and I'm sooo excited. Any advice? I don't want to get to upset if I get a negative first time.

LidikaLikes · 02/05/2016 18:06

charlie it's not impossible to get pregnant in first month trying, but I think anything up to 6 months is average.

Try not to put unnecessary stress/pressure on yourself and your partner - TTC is meant to be fun!!

CharlieBear20 · 02/05/2016 18:24

Don't get me wrong, we're having fun and he's all 'it'll happen when it happens' and 'stop stressing'. I'm trying but still worried about getting a negative and feeling really upset by it. Doesn't help with my mood disorder that little things set me off....

Willberry · 02/05/2016 18:51

Hi, can I join you? DH and I have started TTC this month, this will be our first. Both very excited having to rein him in as he keeps telling people! CharlieBear, I know what you mean I only stopped the pill last month so though in my head I know it will prob take a while will still feel disapointed if it doesn't happen quickly, to be honest AFs been a disapointment for a few months even though we weren't trying which is totally unreasonable lol!

Congratulations to DippyHippy!

CharlieBear20 · 02/05/2016 18:57

Hey WillBerry! Feel free to PM me, we can be impatient together haha! My implant came out a few months ago but this month is the first I got a positive ovulation test.
I feel it's unrealistic to expect to get pregnant right away, but I'll still be disappointed. I thought this would be easy but then I looked into it and NOPE. Who knew it was so complicated? Or is it that I just want it so badly aha?
