Hi Lissy! here is a link to the mumsnet acronym page, it might help!!
acronyms

squinting at lines is the pits, and I have spent the whole day googling false positives.... Confused Sad

twolinesplease · 23/02/2016 17:08

Started spotting at lunch time so I guess I'm out Sad

mustthinkofabetterusername · 23/02/2016 17:21

och no twolines, hope it doesn't develop into anything more. Was upset this morning, but have put more rational hat back on. Going to try and wait to day period due before retesting. But I have another test in the house. Not sure how strong my will power is!
I had forgotten how expensive pregnancy tests are. How much does everyone on here spend per month on them?

Fortunately only £20 spent on tests this month, really got to stop obsessing Blush. Nothing else is happening down below so I'm keeping me fingers crossed but still trying not to get excited. I don't think implantation should be thus late along?

mustthinkofabetterusername · 23/02/2016 20:04

If af due tomorrow, and you ovulated when you think you ovulated, I wouldn't expect implantation to be happening this late. Sorry, I know that's probably not what you want to hear

I think I got a two BFP this morning!

Congrats mango!!!!

So I tested again this morning, and need your advice. I swore I would NEVER turn into one of those crazy ttc ladies, squinting at ampty boxes swearing I could see a line!!!!

I normally use Clearblue (digital, so it tells you pregnant or not, no question about it; costs a fortune though!) AF due Sat. Tested Tues and Wed (four and three days early, both bfn's). Hadn't planned to test again until Sat. But gut instinct told me to test today. Drove down to local chemist and bought Lloyds cheapy (has lines, not digital).

My question is (because I didn't stop and have a good look at it before using, just used it straight away).......... does the white box have a really faint pink line, before you test?, which then gets a darker pink after testing?

I think, there is the faintest of pink lines in the test box (square), but am unsure if it really is one, or just where would get pink if the test was positive. I hope this makes sense?!! I've taken a couple of pics, but am crap with technology. Will try and upload them now, but it could take me a minute of two. Any advice would be fully appreciated. Please be honest and tell me it's blank with no line if that's what you see!

(also, if I'm testing two days before af due, should the pink line be darker?)

Thanks in advance
:)

I think I can see a line in the second pic. Test again tomorrow.

These are the two I did this morning (took pics this morning too!) one the line looks a bit faded near the bottom, and the other the line has a blob on!!

Ronneshia16 · 25/02/2016 16:29

mango how many DPO are you?

mangocoveredlamb · 25/02/2016 16:47

13 or 14 Ron

mustthinkofabetterusername · 25/02/2016 17:27

thanks ladies. I haven't tested again today, as I thought it would be better to wait for the morning, when any hormone levels would be higher.

That and the thought I haven't yet told my husband (not yet home from work) that I've tested today!!! Blush Normally I test when he's there, and can see result also. But all I can say was that my "gut instinct" was strong this morning

a faint line is a good start ronne, looking forward to an update in the morning, hoping a nice bright line!!! :)
