Anyone ttc baby #2 continued?

New thread, just in time for all our 2016 BFPs!

Hi, I'm new here.

Congratulations on bumps and lots of baby dust to those ttc.

Had mirena coil out on 7th Jan 16, as ttc baby #2. DD is 8 but at 38, nearly 39 i'm worried that we've waited too long to try again. DH and i have been doing BD every 2 or 3 days for the last couple of weeks in preparation for this. Really hoping i fall quickly.

Any advice/experiences would be appreciated.

Welcome jennie and good luck. I had mirena out in early 2013, I'd had no periods while on it. Took six weeks for AF to arrive, then got pregnant that cycle. So it is possible!
Mimi thanks for your message. We're carrying on the same plan this cycle as I'm obviously ovulating and managing to produce some fertilised eggs with all those chemical pregnancies! But I think we'll go back and see our fertility doc to discuss clomid or similar for the following cycle. I'm not keen though!

Can i ask, what does AF stand for? My guess was Aunt Flo, but sure it's not right?

sorry I've not been on here I've been feeling really low as been doing ovulation kits and not getting anything just a faint line which is not getting darker. so it looks like my worst fears might be right im not ovulating. not sure there was any point in DTD's last week if I did miraculously ovulate at the day my plog predicted then im 5dpo and the 2ww is well and truly under way. Let's see what happens this cycle.

Hi everyone, been feeling down :(
So i have a son who is 2 and got pregnant with him the week i came off the pill. TTC since September 2015 now and still no luck. been late coming on every month since and getting my hopes up, used at least 10 pregnancy test as well (such a waste i know, but i'm inpatient).
At what point do i go to the DRs and say its just not happening?
Late coming on this month too so fingers crossed but at the way im feeling i think ill be coming on soon :(

Cockles sorry about AF. Totally understand feeling low about it, it's completely shit. Will keep my fingers crossed for next time - I keep telling myself that it's more likely I'll get pg at some point than I won't, and that has been helping.

Lotte sorry you're finding things tough. I've also been ttc since sept 15 so about to go into cycle 5. I told myself if nothing by the end of cycle 6 I would speak to the doc - but realistically I'm not sure they start taking things seriously until you've been trying for a year. I could be wrong on this though!

Pulled that sounds rubbish - opks did my absolute head in so I stopped it, I never seemed to get a strong line. Is it worth speaking to GP about test to confirm you're ovulating? Or going privately if they're fobbing you off?

I'm CD31 today - still no AF. I have sore boobs but other than that nothing out the ordinary. I will test again tomorrow morn I think.

Can I join? Been TTC since mid 2015 trying for our second but nothing. Been getting our hopes up every cycle and then plummeting again. It's horrible that early pregnancy and pms are so similar. Also have the fear as had a miscarriage before our first so double terrified.

Think AF is on her way, had a bit of spotting today

I tested again this morn and got a BFP! Very happy but also worried to be too happy after last month's CP. Hopefully all will be ok.

Kellz I hope AF stays away...I thought AF was coming a week or so ago and given my BFP it may have just been spotting. Fingers crossed for you.

it's cycle 10 for us so yeah tired just about covers it. I've had a scan which showed nothing just waiting for gynae appt now in feb. they said the PCOS has disappeared too so am confused why it's not happening. I conceived very easily the first time and I had PCOS then Just tired of BFN's. if it doesn't happen this cycle then a break might be due like u mimiliscious I'm finding it hard to keep motivated. each months disappointment is getting hard to cope with.

Also very nervous about waiting for nt scan result , don't know why but think 4 weeks is a long time to find out whether or not there could b a problem with baby , do u think they would call if they found something ? It's driving me mad and googling did nothing but stress me out! X
