Had my first one today - was horrendous! Feeling very sorry for myself now. Front of forehead feels bruised and struggling to concentrate on my computer screen.

Cheer me up?!

Hi Sophie I don't know how much cheering up I can do for you but I can offer some migraine advice. Get off the computer- easy to say when they're used so much for work etc. but they really exacerbate the problem. Easiest way for me to get over them was to disappear to bed for a couple of hours, no tv and phone for a few hours and voila recovered. I never got them coming off the mini pill (I've been off it now for 5 months) but I went on the mini pill and off the combined due to them. Surprisingly haven't had any since coming off the pill altogether and no longer take preventative medication.

Drink lots of water and get some rest, that's the best advice I can give. FX you feel better soon!

I had terrible headaches when I came off the pill, only one real migraine though.

I think it's caused by the change in hormones so once your body has settled down a bit they should go - mine certainly have

It affected my vision - was blurry around the edge of my range of vision. Then front of face felt bruised for rest of day.

Horrid :(

I get 1 or 2 migraines every single month due to hormones. I know it's coming as I see black dots out of the corner of my eye a few hours before it starts and sometimes I feel like I can't focus on anything for a day or two before. I find ibuprofen is the only painkiller that works (not great when ttc as it can affect implantation). I make sure I don't have much caffeine and drink loads of water. They're awful things to have. You may have to experiment with what works for you if they turn out to be a regular thing.
