Hi - just wondered what people think... I have been having symptoms of morning sickness for 14 days, other symptoms include lots of belching, womb heaviness/tenderness and fatigue. It feels just like when I was pregnant before. When I get these waves of what I call "cold nausea" I am sure I am pregnant. I haven't had a period since childbirth (lo now 15 months old). Went back to work 3 months ago 3 days a week, so breastfeeding has reduced by at least a third. But today I got a BFN. I got some really bad news about a close relative about 3 weeks ago, could these symptoms be related to that? I wasn't trying to conceive and was on the fence about having a second (at least in my conscious mind!!)

Hi Nancey. So sorry to hear you're having a rough time. I got pregnant in March of this year and noted a few symptoms (similar to yours) which in hindsight I thought must have been early pregnancy symptoms. I sadly miscarried at 10 weeks but have been TTC ever since. Twice now I've had the exact same 'pregnancy' symptoms in my two week wait and have 100% convinced myself I'm pregnant, only to be disappointed. So my point is that while what you have could esily be pregnancy symptoms, they could also be premenstrual symptoms or something else altogether. This month I've decided to ignore all symptoms and just wait and see whether or not my period comes. If I were you I would try not to worry either way and test again in another week. Hope you feel better soon. x

Hi Nancey Really sorry to hear you've had upsetting news :( I can't comment from a pregnancy perspective (having never been) but I have a background understanding of stress and trauma and you're right, extreme upset can have a real impact on the digestive system as in, it stops functioning properly causing nausea, and possibly feelings of tenderness. However, the symptoms could also be coincidental and you could be pg - I would pop to GP asap and get a full test and mention all the symptoms you are experiencing as if it is stress related they can also help with that, and if you are pregnant they can help manage stress and any anxiety as the same time :) best of luck x

It turns out it was all in my mind! I took another couple of pregancy tests and it sunk in and the nausea stopped. The power of the mind is astoudning. I was so sure. Hope you are both doing well x
