I've put on weight suddenly all round my hips :( it's awful!
With DS I didn't look like I'd put any weight on it was just on my stomach.
I'm crossing my fingers for a girl. But would still be happy if it's a boy :)

Apparently I looked quite funny with ds, everyone said I looked normal from behind then when I turned around I had a huuugggee belly! I'm really struggling to loose my jelly belly from him now tho Confused

Bet your ds will love being a big brother Smile how has stbxh been?

Tori I will most likely be having a boy Grin my family is desperate for a girl so it'll be a boy haha.
Bless u, it's good u can lie down tho. I remember sleeping sat upright on the sofa as it was far too painful to lie down :(
Atm my right side of my hip aches in bed feels like growing pains lol

Ducky I can imagine people walking up to u and then u suddenly turn round and BAM! Huge belly Grin and I still have my jelly belly Ducky, that never went at all :/ and at the scan she told me to put my knees up and move my hips from side to side... My stomach went all over the place haha!
And surprisingly he's been so so nice! Nicest I've ever known him, he was never this nice when we were together. It's like him living on his own has made him grow up finally. Which is good for DS and for DC.

I have woke up with an awful cold. I feel like crap! But I'm really really hoping I got it from ds, can't cope if he gets ill again! He's only starting to feel better now!

Aw glad it's done now I bet :)
hahaa! Grin always happens when its hot!
Me and DS went into town to buy him some shorts. I also got my self a new top from primark. It's not a maternity but its supposed to be like beach wear but it'll be perfect when it's rele hot and I've got a bump. I just brought a bigger size lol Grin

LuluJakey1 · 23/04/2015 23:38

If DH gets this job, I am going to extend my maternity leave to a year which would mean I would go back in January. I so hope he gets it Grin

Cupcake92 · 24/04/2015 16:01

Oo Lulu that would be good! Grin I hope he gets the job!

I'm exhausted I've done so much today! Took kids to school for my auntie and then went and had a tour around a nursery for DS to start in September :) then went off to get my hair highlighted and DS 's cut. Then went off to asda to get some things for tea and some more prenatal vitamins and I've come home and cleaned the whole kitchen and lounge lol Grin I'm so tired! I still need to make dinner and give DS a bath.
Can not wait for my bedtime!

lillamyy1 · 24/04/2015 19:09

Hi everyone! I've been missing you all!!! I still haven't had time to catch up on the thread since I went into hospital. What's new? Cupcake, I saw your scan - I bet you feel so much better now Smile I'm so glad it went well.
Tori, how long have you got to go?
Siarie, how are you settling in to being a mum? I haven't got used to it yet.
I knew it would be time-consuming having a new baby, but I had no idea I wouldn't have time to reply to texts and emails, answer the phone or catch up with you guys!! But it's all worth it for my little man Grin
I've had such a lot of trouble trying to feed DS. It's literally taken up nearly all of my day, every day, until my milk came in properly today. At first he wasn't latching on very well and when he did, my colostrum and then my milk wouldn't come out easily and he got really worked up about it to the point where the mere hint of putting him to my breast made him cry Sad He was getting so frustrated each time he tried to feed that he'd end up crying uncontrollably and couldn't even try to latch on again. Sad It broke my heart. Also at the hospital (we were there for nearly 3 days after he was born) everyone who was helping me feed thought he was doing ok and getting enough and it wasn't until the second night that someone posted out he must have been really dehydrated because he had very dry skin and his lips were cracked and chapped Sad Sad Sad When they said that I asked if they thought I should give him some formula and the midwife was like "YES!" And do you know what she told me then? They're not allowed to suggest giving formula, it has to be the mum who brings it up Angry My poor little boy was going through all that and getting hungrier and hungrier all because of that stupid policy Angry
Anyway, I've been expressing and topping up with formula since being home and it continued being really hard until today because he'd got used to being upset when I put him to the beast and i wasn't producing enough so I had to give him some expressed bm or formula before trying to bf so his hunger wasn't as bad and he wasn't so impatient.
I lost 4 nights' sleep in hospital and since I've been home the most I had was 4 hours or so per night until last night Confused
Birth story coming up...

Ooh not long to go, Tori! I had a section (will tell whole tale as soon as I get the chance) and really didn't want one but in the end I was the same and just wanted him out safely. What's more, at least with a section your fanjo will live to see another day Grin

Ducky23 · 24/04/2015 20:06

Lulu I hope he gets it Grin will you go back full time or part time?

Cupcake sounds like you had a productive day!

Oh lil, that sounds really difficult for you! I've always heard that they try and push ff on you most times. Please tell is your birth story when you can Grin hope the feeding is going well now.

Tori what are the chances of baby turning do you know?

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 24/04/2015 21:27

Ohh bless u Lill! :( I'm glad he's starting to feed better now tho. I can imagine it's hard. And yes let us know ur birth story when u can! :)

Tori has the midwife or anyone told u of some exercises to do to try and get him to turn?

LuluJakey1 · 24/04/2015 22:57

Full- time Duckey. I think the question is do we try for another one really quickly or do we have some time just with DS - maybe a couple of years- and then try. But By the time he is two I will be 37 1/2. Also, it might be better for my career to get it over with at once. But we'll see. We save a lot of money to see us through a maternity leave and we haven't touched it. So if DH got this job I think we could manage really well for another maternity leave quickly.

Lill- sorry you have had such a tough time with feeding. You're doing really well to stick at it.

Only 4-5 weeks Tori! Bet you wish it was over now. It gets to that point doesn't it?

TMI- I am having a much heavier period than normal! I'm fed up with it. Does that sometimes happen after having a baby? I don't think any one since DS was born has been the same- heavy, light, longer, shorter. Seems like no pattern.

There is still time for him to turn. My friend's little girl turned in week 37. She said it felt peculiar, and her DD was quite a small baby. Is the pain bad from the SPD? I have heard it can be really debilitating and hard to get any relief from. Soon be over though and you will have a lovely snuffly baby to cuddle.

ethelfleda · 25/04/2015 00:07

Hi everyone, I hope I am in the right place this time! I have been 'directed' here after receiving a not so warm welcome elsewhere. Hoping to test for the first time this weekend!

Siarie · 25/04/2015 09:43

Lil I'm FF and expressing, my dd had jaundice so ff was part of the feeding plan to get her fluid levels up.

Got to go back Tuesday for a checkup to make sure it's gone. Then I hope to be free of that hospital, we are moving in three weeks yay.

Ducky23 · 25/04/2015 09:49

Hi Ethel! Sorry you didn't get a warm welcome elsewhere. do you have any other dc? When will you be testing?fingers crossed for you!

Lulu my AF has been heavy since having ds! I've had 3 so far and they have been regular!! GrinGrin Woooo!

Ooh fx that baby turns, Tori.
And for DH's Interview Lulu!
Well my milk has well and truly come in now and DS is making the very most of it - I've been up bfing since 3:30am Hmm I'm bloody knackered! He can't get enough of it!! Shock also I made the mistake of having a coffee yesterday and I expect that's another reason he's been so wakeful. SIL and her DP are coming round today so hopefully all the attention will wear him out and he'll sleep better tonight. I've had DM here since I came home as well as DP for the nighttime help and it's still exhausting work.
Do had to work all day yesterday so me and DM took DS out in his pram for the first time and went and had lunch and an ice cream in the park Smile on the way back we went to have a look round the oxfam bookshop but while we were in there DS did a really smelly poo Blush I tried to wheel his pram outside quickly but there wasn't much room and I had to try several different routes thereby spreading the smell all around the shop!
