They have seen one they really like and have two others to see in the morning before they go home. DH has gone out with them now to see exactly where the one they liked today is from the outside.

We have a black-out blind in DS's room- not that he is in there yet. I do think the bigger night time feed makes a difference - most nights anyway.

Does your DS squeal? DS has learned how to squal and it is really funny. He giggles when he does it.

Cupcake92 · 02/05/2015 21:12

Sounds exactly like my exH Ducky!!! 100%!
They must be twins I'm sure.
Yeah it could be the light, I hope the towel trick works tonight for u Ducky :)

Aw that's nice Lulu, how soon are they wanting to move?
I'm quite jealous of the royal baby. I remember finding out I was pregnant and about a month later they mentioned she was pg but not quite 12 weeks and I was always thinking if she'd be due the same day as me. I was due 4th April tho! lol!

Ducky23 · 02/05/2015 21:37

He does squeal! He tries his hardest to talk!!
Hope they find a perfect house lulu!

Well I didn't want to say this incase somehow he saw it... But .... I am going to see a solicitor Tuesday Confused just to get basic advice really.

I have a redundancy payment coming my way and I have told him it is like 1/4 of what it really is. I'm going to put the rest into savings should ds or me need it. It annoyed me, the first time I told him of the payment, bear in mind he hasn't given me a penny since I'm on mat is 'what are you buying me'. I said that money is for ds and he went on a rant about how he's always given me some if he's had a payout, but that was before ds and when I had money myself!

Is this bad to feel a little bit jealous/annoyed?
I as u know had been TTC for about a year and lost 2 babies, my best friend through this time didn't want anymore children (she has 2 already, one a month younger than DS) and told me theres no way she would get pregnant till her youngest is a bit older.
When I found out I was pg this time and had my early scan and told her things were good this time she blurted out "I'm pregnant too! But I'm 2 weeks ahead of u!"
I get a little annoyed as I wanted it to be my moment as it had taken so long to get a healthy child.
Well I had put a status on Facebook with a clip of my baby's heartbeat last week and later that day she posted "heard my baby's heartbeat today and it was so clear!"
Again I felt like she was taking away my moment.
Then today I put a status up saying I could wait to find out what I'm having in 2 weeks time :)
The literally 5 mins later she puts one saying "decisions, not sure if me and DH will find out the sex of our baby in a few weeks I think a surprise is so much more exciting. What does everyone think?"
And again I feel like she taken that moment away from me! Don't know if I'm over reacting a little bit?

Just feel I've been through so much and finally got my healthy baby and someone's taking away my excitement for themselves :(

Cupcake92 · 02/05/2015 21:40

Ducky I think that's a good decision Uve made. Some advice would be good :) might make u feel better

Cupcake, you have every right to feel like that. What a bitch Hmm it never fails to surprise me what idiots people can be.

Tori, take a year of if you can Smile you will love it! I'm sure DH wouldn't mind paying your share to save on childcare!

Thanks guys, I just really hope I don't chicken out, there's three main things that are bothering me ATM, they are:

  1. DH family are VERY wealthy also very unhappy and hate each other, each one has had a previous drug problem of some sort and I'm terrified that if anything happens they will try and take ds away from me Confused
  1. Some days h can seem so nice, it's like were just best mates. And id feel awful doing anything to hurt him then he does something to piss me off
  1. H has cheated on me a few times in the past, last time I left him. I went back the next day to find he'd slit his wrists. There was blood everywhere. He said if I left him he'd kill himself. What if he does? How could I tell ds that his father did that because of me?

I feel like I'm in such a difficult place right now. And also my family live in a particular area where houses never come up to rent so if I wasn't in the house i wouldn't get anywhere near any of my support Hmm

I am so sorry to go off on one. I suppose I just need to hear what you guys think. too little sleep makes me waffle on!

And my didn't work either

Cupcake92 · 03/05/2015 04:45

I know this may sound harsh Ducky but in regards to saying he'd kill himself u really can't let that force u into staying. If it comes to u leaving him maybe put ur mind at rest and inform a friend or family member of his to come over and see him as he's threatening to do things. They wouldn't say no and u will know he can't be stupid. I'd also mention that to the solicitor. Plus if he did it that isn't ur fault at all. And u wouldn't say to DS his father did that because of u, because it wasnt because of u, it was because he was trying to get attention. As harsh as that sounds.
I worried exH family would try and take DS off me, cuz they do things like that n I was terrified they'd take me to court for custody n make exH take him off me. But now look! They never even see DS!! So i worried for nothing. I did learn that no one can take DS away because he's not neglected, he's looked after well. As long as u are caring for DS and loving him no one can take him Ducky :)
As Tori said staying in an unhappy relationship isn't worth it. What's worth it is u and DS being happy 99% of the time not only 50% of the time.
Took me ages but I did it. My house is so much cleaner and stays clean for longer! I feel I can go in and out when I want and no arguments :) I cook what I like and watch what I like on tv. And I'm happy and DS is so much happier too.
Still don't get time on my own tho as exH only has DS if I'm at work -_- like Monday I'm off but I have to have DS... Because I'm off Hmm
Do what u think will benefit ur life and health in the long run Ducky.
Sorry this is so long!
writing this at 4:45am as I needed to pee so so bad then checked this lol

Ducky23 · 03/05/2015 07:33

I know cupcake Confused well I will see what she says Tuesday. I'm trying to get a secret pot of money together. Then I shall make a plan.

Well the towel trick worked! Ds slept from around 6 to 7 this morning with one feed at 3 am Grin, I think he had a small feed at 9ish too. So I shall be buying one of them blinds! I hope it covers the window enough as our bedroom windows are big!

OP posts:
Cupcake92 · 03/05/2015 17:43

Yeah see what advice they give u first :) and saving a pot of money is a good idea.

Aw yay! Glad the towel tricked worked! Well done DS for sleeping!! :)

My DS woke up again last night and was crying so much he got so worked up and was sobbing and he finally fell asleep in my bed and was still sobbing in his sleep :( it was awful bless him! I think he may have had a nightmare as he was so so upset!

lillamyy1 · 03/05/2015 20:33

Aww poor DS Cupcake! I hate it when they cry and can't tell you what's wrong Sad Had your DS started talking yet?
Also, I'd be really peed off with that friend of yours as well. I hate people who have to make everything about them Angry
Ducky, I think it's a really good idea that you're seeking legal advice. Cupcake's right, he won't be able to take DS, it's quite clear you're the sole caregiver! Also you mustn't feel guilty if you do want to leave. Re your H cutting his wrists before, that's a really manipulative thing to do and clearly just to get your attention because if he was actually suicidal he'd have actually killed himself. You deserve so much better than him Flowers

Siarie · 03/05/2015 22:23

Sounds like a bad egg to me, although both your DH and cupcakes exH always did.

Babies put a strain on relationships, but it sounds like you have long standing history anyway ducky.

LuluJakey1 · 03/05/2015 23:25

TMI but my 12 day long period finally ended yesterday. GP said it is just my hormones getting back to normal. I have had short periods and long ones since Ds was born. Have had a lovely bath. Nice to be in bed with no clothes on and feeling clean. I was sick of it.

It has poured here until about 8pm. DH has been doing some work- he's got an interview this week for that job- on Wednesday. I have been asking him questions tonight and listening to him answer. Not very interesting! Smile We are living life on the edge here in Northumberland.

LuluJakey1 · 03/05/2015 23:26

Cupcake- sounds like you definitely made the right decision.
Hope you get good advice on Tuesday Ducky. Your DH never sounds very caring or thoughtful or even fun. You deserve someone who is.

Cupcake92 · 04/05/2015 07:28

Yes Lill he's started talking, he can only say certain things tho and can't rele do sentences. Only "biscuit please" which I guess is a sentence haha Grin
He's at that stage where he's got his own names for things like the iPad is his PadPad, chocolate is choc choc. Grin

DS slept all through last night! So I got a whole nights sleep yay :)

Lulu that's sounds awful! A 12 day long AF! Hope they start to even out for u soon

LuluJakey1 · 04/05/2015 08:55

Biscuit please is very good manners Cupcake. And he obviously has his priorities- biscuits, ipad and chocolate Grin

I have been up since half 6 with DS. I have cleaned the kitchen, had the shopping delivered and it's put away. I have done a load of washing and dried it, cleaned up cat sick and tidied the sitting room. DS has been fascinated by it all- watching from his baby chair. DH is still in bed!

I live In my maternity leggings atm just because they are so comfy Grin
I do have maternity jeans but I'm saving them for when I'm a little bigger :)

Ducky23 · 04/05/2015 21:13

I loved my maternity leggings! I can't remember where I got them from but they were sooo comfy, although by the end my bump was a bit too big so they would slip down!

Ds had a bad morning again. Up at 5 am Hmm it was very bright this morning though and the towel doesn't cover most the window so I'm putting it down to that. I have ordered him one of them blackout blinds though and am hoping it comes through soon. I never fall asleep during the day but yesterday I fell fast asleep on the sofa when ds was sleeping, and today I was in the car (not driving!) and went spark out for 45 mins Blush

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 04/05/2015 21:20

Duckey, we took DS out for a long walk and had lunch out. When we got back I slept on the sofa too -for over an hour while DH made tea and entertained DS. And I am looking forward to my bed. Smile

DS had a little sleep in his room this afternoon and he was fine. We are going to try him in it tonight- he is having his feed as I write and is looking tired. Everything is set up. It will be nice to have our room back- he wakes up more easily now so we have to be careful with ipads and things. I hate the thought of him sleeping by himself though.

Ducky23 · 04/05/2015 21:34

ooohhh I'm dreading moving ds Confused I still have to touch him to check his breathing at night! I do have an angelcare monitor mat but I think he might be a bit wriggly for it ATM.

Has he slept through a few nights now?

OP posts:
LuluJakey1 · 04/05/2015 21:47

Yes, he sleeps through more often than not. In our room he is easily disturbed now whereas he used to sleep through anything. We have been thinking about it for a couple of weeks but I am being a wimp about it.

Anyway, he is in his room now and went straight to sleep. Not fazed at all by it. The monitor is on and we can hear occasional snuffley noises. I'll probably be awake half the night listening to the monitor.

We are going to bed now too. DH has work tomorrow and I am going to the dentist to have a big filling replaced.
