All ages and age gaps welcome!

I'm 29, have a 16mo DS, TTC since periods came back in July 2014, had a mc in Jan.

Anyone else?

Definitely give temping a go if you don't have any luck this month - i used it alongside the opk's as a confirmation - and was interesting as I actually ovulated 48 hours after my peak day not on the second day of peak as I originally thought :)

messymayhem · 07/05/2015 09:51

Hello, I would like to join you...
Just about to start ttc #2 DS is 22 months. And I am 33 Shock
Took us a long time to get DS so fingers crossed it won't take too long this time.

mrsmugoo · 07/05/2015 10:19

If ovulation is 2 days after my peak opk then I really am screwed :(

Avasmum8 · 07/05/2015 11:11

Hey Char, no I have never temped! If it had taken longer than a month to conceive I think I would have tried it. But I will be booking a scan later today which is exciting just hope it's good news when we go x

woundbobbin · 07/05/2015 13:44

Sorry about the AF carrot that is rubbish.
Mrsmugoo when I didn't get a smiley face this month I did some random googling and anecdotally lots of people seem to get pregnant and never detect LH surge on opk's. we've decided to ditch the sticks and go back to alternate day shagging next month - I'm not sure they aren't just £20 worth of stress.

woundbobbin · 07/05/2015 13:45

Ps welcome messymayhem Grin

mrsmugoo · 07/05/2015 13:47

That might be good advice woundbobbin!

We didn't DTD yesterday as both were tired. We probably should have. Will definitely tonight. Meh.

Torfhinn · 07/05/2015 19:10

Evening all, welcome Messy!

Sorry that AF got you too Carrot. Despite all my 'I simply must be pregnant' symptoms, I think AF is on it's way Sad as I have some cramps and the spotting was slightly pink last night (not today though?!). Still, new cycle, new hope! Although I wish I could explain spotting from CD17 to 28 (and counting...)

We are going with alternate day DTD rather than OPKs/temping, I think I'm likely to become a bit too obsessed over them and am trying unsuccessfully to keep things relaxed. Would be nice to confirm Ov day though.

Glad you are getting that reassurance scan Ava Smile

bluebeanie · 07/05/2015 19:59

Hi everyone. I've got a 19 month old DC and I guess I'm 4 dpo ovulation ttc no 2 cycle 1, excluding random drunken unprotected DTD in Feb! I'm 31 with pcos. I got pregnant cycle 3 last time, but was fitter, had more time to DTD multiple times around ovulation etc. Due to test next Friday. Last time I read the book, Taking charge of your fertility and monitored my temperature. Amazing book, but just monitoring ewcd for now as previously it made me into an obsessive loon.

Last time I had clear implantation pain 5 dpo and spotting and backache prior to bfp. Symptom spotting is madness inducing!

DianaOstara · 07/05/2015 20:21

Hello bluebeanie and messy!

mrs that's a lot of flashing smileys but take heart that they are smileys and not circles. I've had ovulation on cd19 for past two months so hang on in there (I'm trying not to freak out about late of just yet!)

Ok so since joining this thread I've been calm, relaxed, sane! However we have just dtd for the first time this cycle so be warned - the crazy, symptom spotting, pessimist is now unleashed!! I scheduled some treats in over the next two weeks to keep me cheerful - cinema trip, Lush order, hen party, clothes shopping etc. I'm determined not to feel as crap at the end of 2ww as I did last month!

MarysPrayer · 07/05/2015 21:33

Just been catching up Smile

Welcome sound, messy and blue

Congrats wombat - great news!

Sorry about AF carrotpuff and hope

Ava, good idea about the private scan. I would do the same - I had a mc 2 cycles ago so I understand your concerns. Flowers

torfhinn sorry you feel AF is imminent. Don't quote me as I am no expert, but I have heard that early spotting can sometimes indicate low progesterone levels.

Diana I think we may be cycle buddies (or thereabouts) I'm only on cd11 but usually ov around cd 13/14 (sat/sun) and expect bfp/af on around the 25th. Just started dtd, as of last night. I like your strategy for the tww - I might borrow that idea Grin

Hi to everyone else too!

woundbobbin · 08/05/2015 10:27

Welcome blue!
AF got me around the same time as the exit poll last night - so double depression.
Feeling really grim today surprised to have AF 3 days early I'm normally like clockwork oh well on to the next cycle.

CarrotPuff · 08/05/2015 14:52

Welcome messy and blue!

I'm thinking if I should step away from conception boards and MN in general for a while. I guess I need something else to focus on. Ah, why is it so difficult...

Sorry still not collated the stats - DS has diarrhoea and sickness bug :(

He's on his 4th outfit today and I'm on my 3rd Confused

PattyODoors · 08/05/2015 16:42

Hi all, I can't keep up with you all! I'm about 11/12 dpo and feeling wretched. Have spent most of today feeling sick with an awful taste in my mouth, having cramps on and off too. Was so tempted to test this morning but I'm trying to exercise my will power as I wasted 2 tests last month!

birdbrain21 · 08/05/2015 17:49

Oh no mrsmugoo that sounds horrible! Hope he's better soon

mrsmugoo · 08/05/2015 18:50

Patty when is AF due? That sounds promising!

PattyODoors · 08/05/2015 19:16

She's due Mon/Tues I think mrsmugoo. I had a random 32 day cycle last month though after having 27 day cycles since I came off the pill in July, so who knows when she'll appear lol. Hope DS feels better soon.

DianaOstara · 08/05/2015 19:29

Come on carrot stay positive lovely. You are part of my inspiration for being relaxed this month!

wound Grin - tis a blue day in more ways than one Sad

patty quietly confident for you! Have you got anything planned this weekend to keep you away from the tests?

Bleurgh mrs - hope ds better soon.

I'm in for the night, no Wine, planning an early bedtime - I'm making more of an effort this month to be healthy (well, apart from the hen-do next week ;) )

Hope2014 · 08/05/2015 20:07

Have stayed off MN for a couple months after getting a bit too analytical over it all (and when the bus got scary!). TTC#2, cycle 7. Just popped in (broke my own rule) and thought I could add to earlier conversation about OPKs...when we conceived DD1 I tested days 11-22 (I used to have ridiculously variable cycles) and didn't get a smiley face at all. Assumed I hadn't ovulated and sulked for a couple of weeks and then sulked for a further week of period pains. Then got the BFP. Weird. So OPKs - don't get too obsessed with them, I think now maybe just DTD regularly is the way to go. Good luck everyone xx

PattyODoors · 08/05/2015 21:12

Diana nothing much planned just a 4.5 yr old to distract me! And only one test in the house too, determined not to use it as its a frer, too expensive to waste!

mrsmugoo · 08/05/2015 21:14

Thanks for the reassurance re: OPKs. I've only got 2 sticks left and I don't think I'll repurchase. I'm going to do temping and DTD every other day if I'm still here next month.

Avasmum8 · 08/05/2015 23:18

Evening ladies, only just getting a chance to write on here had a super busy (but leisurely) day! Had a scan today and I'm measuring 8 weeks and 3 days! So it has brought my provisional date forward a few days although that could change again at the next one. Me and DH feel so much happier now, it was so lovely to see the little baby and be told everything looks good, and see the heart beat :) feels an achievement to make it past 8 weeks this time, can't wait for the next scan now!

Hope you have all have a good day, anyone in the 2ww going to test soon??

PattyODoors · 09/05/2015 02:06

Aww that's fantastic news Avasmum I'm about 12/13 dpo and desperately trying to hold off testing this weekend!

mrsmugoo · 09/05/2015 06:42

DTD last night and solid smiley this morning. Now praying for a miracle.
