No smiley face at all bobbin? Or just no solid smiley?

woundbobbin · 28/04/2015 22:35

No smiley face at all...

mrsmugoo · 29/04/2015 07:28

Oh no! Have you had any physical signs? CM?

HopeintheAir · 29/04/2015 07:45

Thanks bobbin Smile. Do you temp at all? Could you be ov-ing late this month?

Tangoandcreditcards · 29/04/2015 10:34

Thanks for the congrats all. The move really was a disaster but it feels like a much more auspicious start to our new home now. Although the spare room we've been promising relatives and friends might be short-lived Grin

I'll leave you all to your conceiving now and lurk about, hope to see you on the pregnancy boards soon. x

HopeintheAir · 29/04/2015 13:07

8dpo and it feels.like time is standing still! How's everyone else doing? Anyone testing soon?

CarrotPuff · 29/04/2015 13:21

Welcome Hope!

Yes, I'm 6dpo. I have been googling today when does implantation happen as I had some cramps am totally relaxed Wink

Just booked flights to go back home for 2 weeks in July I could be 12 weeks by then, so no idea when I would get my scan - really looking forward to that.

Excited for you hope and carrotpuff!

I'm busting out the opks from tomorrow. Blatantly won't be ovulating for another week at least but at least it feels like I'm doing something if I'm poas!

HopeintheAir · 29/04/2015 15:07

Thanks mrs and Carrot! Smile

I'm trying to impose a Google ban on myself as I may have searched for 'spotting at 5 dpo bfp' a few hundred times. Arrghh!

Raeside · 29/04/2015 17:20

Hullo! May I join? I'm an elderly 40yr old, 41 in July, and we've been secretly trying to conceive #2 for 9 months. Got a 23 month old DS who is completely aces but as we are so old thought it might be kind to offer him up a sibling....we had a very relaxed attitude to conceiving first time around, particularly as weren't that convinced we wanted kids at all. Took 9 months of not really trying....

Now it's 3yrs later and I'm older and peeing on stupid sticks and using stupider apps and nothing. Boring. I'm still vacillating between YES BABY! and NO BABY! but it's a bit like a school exam - I want to pass and to pass I need to get upduff!

Anyway I finally caved and bought some Preseed today. Gross. CD3 here, albeit a really weird light period this time around. In another week it'll be Jiggy Party ahoy. Urgh. Last time I got pregnant I was on holiday and mostly drunk. Why can't that just happen again?!?!

Anyway this seems a nice place to hang out. Lots of good BFPs too.

Torfhinn · 29/04/2015 19:29

Hi all, welcome Rae!

CD20 of an irregular 25-30 day cycle, no idea if and when to test, hopefully I can wait it out until I'm late but with such an irregular cycle, I don't think I'll last another 11 days!

MarysPrayer · 29/04/2015 19:48

Could I join you all please? Smile

I'm not getting any younger 37, and we've been ttc #2 since Jan this year. Had an early mc last month, and just on cd3 of first AF since then.
I was extremely lucky to fall pregnant in the first month of trying 3 year ago; dd is now 2 1/2. She's still bf but only once a day now, at bedtime. (we're working on that one still!)

I was lurking/posting on the monthly buses here and there but sometimes felt guilty for grumbling about not getting a bfp each month, when there were people on those boards who were still trying for their first.

I recognise carrot from the ttc after mc board

Anyway, if you'll have me I'd love to join you.

birdbrain21 · 29/04/2015 20:15

Hello new people :) the more the merrier!
You need to all stop talking about these ovulation testing kits, my DH has not idea what they are and will think I'm mad if I go out and buy he laughs at all the things I've learnt off mumsnet! But I feel like I'm being inactive just sitting around every month Hmm. With my dd (just turned 2 a couple of weeks ago) I got pg first month off the pill and we weren't in a rush just decided to stop taking and see what happened, I didn't even know about the 2ww then I found out when I was 8 weeks pg! I wish I was so innocent still. My period finished yesterday so I guess I'll be ovulating in about a week and then have to wait 2 weeks after that, I feel like I'm rushing life away...

And I'm supposed to be starting a new teaching job in a couple of weeks doing maternity cover, I was really hoping to get pg before I start and then when the teacher leaving comes back I would be happy to not have a job as I would be going on leave myself. Come on bfp I want one by the end of the month please!!!!

HopeintheAir · 29/04/2015 20:52

FX for you birdbrain and hello to other newbies! I totally get the feeling of rushing life away - feel like I've thought of nothing except ttc all day. Maybe I need a hobby Confused

diamondsparkles · 29/04/2015 21:13

Hello everyone! Hi to all the newcomers, I am on here but don't post all the time.
Cd14 here and got a flashing smiley today, so hoping for a fixed (peak) one tomorrow - last month I got a peak on cd12 so who knows what my body is doing this month!
So soon I will be counting down the days to test like a crazy person. I know what you all mean about it was far easier first time ttc - then it only took a few months and I was far more laid back - didn't have a clue about days past ovulation or anything, now it's virtually all I think about! I need to get out more.....

DianaOstara · 29/04/2015 21:33

Yes! Last time I kind of wanted it to take a while as I was looking forward to all the sex!! Now, although I'm not complaining, I certainly don't have the same energy level, time or va va voom as 3 years ago!

Ok so my healthy-ness has slipped a bit today - 4 finger Kit-Kat and 4 cups of tea - but I did buy some soya milk for my cereal. Not sure what soy insoflavins are supposed to do and I don't want to invest a fortune in a supplement just yet but it feels like a small ttc step.

CD6 here. Going to start dtd every other day from CD10 - looking forward to a timely bank holiday weekend :)

CharChar2015 · 30/04/2015 03:13

Hey ladies - sorry I've been quiet the last few days had lots of family stuff going on! But I'm back and think I've caught up.

Congratulations tango :)

And welcome newbies :)

Ok ladies I need advice! I usually have a 28-32 cycle - and I know my LP is 16 days. So I started with the CB digi ov stick on cd 9 and got low fertility... Then did it today (CD10) and got peak! Straight to solid smiley! So I did a regular opk and that confirmed I am indeed about to ov! Which would mean a 26 day cycles tn hornets ever! Anyway - my point.... We've not dtd this week yet! So We did today which is day of positive opk and will do tmrw aswell - but I feel a bit like I'm already out as I've missed dtd in the lead up to ovulation and will have just done it on my 2 peak days! Help! Am I out? What do you girls think?

DianaOstara · 30/04/2015 06:55

Hi char I think go for it!! I'm planning on extending our shagging phase this month as for one reason or another we haven't got round to the safety shag but have done lots beforehand and Im thinking maybe my egg is not ready until the days after peak fertility. Also Envy at your amazingly long leutal phase Grin

mrsmugoo · 30/04/2015 10:28

Never got round to doing an opk today as DS woke me up crying at 5:30am and I stopped by the loo en route to his room and completely forgot. Probably would have been a waste of time anyway.

Shattered today. He was awake 12-1 and from 5:30. I haven't been woken in the night for 6 months - it was a bit of a shock to the system and a reminder of what I'm getting myself back into arrrrgh!!

CarrotPuff · 30/04/2015 14:36

Welcome Rae!

Hi Marys! This is exactly the reason I decided to start this thread - so many people TTC for their first and probably think "Oh at least you have a DC".

bird I'm not doing any kits, don't worry about it. Ultimately the only way to conceive is have sex, all the kits do is tell you when to do that, but if you shag every 2-3 days, you will get there eventually. It's also much cheaper this way Wink

Diana I'm not going to tell you how much crap I ate over the last week, it's ridiculous. Ditto caffeine...

char I'm not an expert, but I believe the high on opk means you will be ovulating in the nearest 24-48 hours, so you still might have your 28 day cycle.

CarrotVan · 30/04/2015 18:46

I posted at the start of this thread but have been away and crazy busy - same as with #1 I've conceived on my second cycle. EDD 4th Jan so I guess I'll see quite a few of you on the antenatal threads. With a very active 2 yo I'm really not sure how I'm going to manage - I'm already knackered

The very best of luck to everyone who is still waiting.

waitingforwombat · 30/04/2015 19:49

Hi all, I've been lurking for a bit, trying to be totally cool about TTC, but in reality symptom spotting and going crazy in 2ww with best of you so thought I should just join in!!

I'm 30, Dd 20 months, currently cycle 5 TTC #2. Conceived dd first month and finding it hard to be patient this time. Day 6 po and had another temperature spike, but trying not to get too excited too early.

DianaOstara · 30/04/2015 20:58

Congratulations carrotvan that's lovely news! Try to rest as much as possible (ipad bribery if needs must!)

wombat welcome :). I've been trying to stay relaxed (only on CD 7 here) but today I've had the most intense period type cramps in my back - ive been symptom spotting over a week before the two week wait!!!

carrotpuff I'm not doing kits or anything this month either - also partly because it could end up costing a fortune!

Chatted to a friend at work today about her ongoing fertility treatment. I really do count my blessings for my lovely dd. She's been so adorable this evening bringing me blankets and teddies to make me feel better whilst I lay on the sofa. Really want another one but thank goodness I am lucky enough not to have felt the heartache of struggling for baby number one.

DianaOstara · 30/04/2015 21:00

mrs hope you've caught up on sleep :). Where are you in cycle now?

mrsmugoo · 30/04/2015 21:02

Haha no such luck, just hoping he sleeps alright tonight really.

I'm day 9, gonna start on the opks tomorrow and get on with the shagging!
