I have just bought some of this as dh sperm count low. It is ph balanced to match fertile cervical mucus and appparently developed not to harm sperm like other lubricants and saliva do.
www.preseed.com - just thought it might interest others ttc.

It won't do any harm but sperms by their very nature are complicated things and there is much about them we do not understand. This is not a drug treatment but generally speaking many things have been tried to improve sperm count without success.

Have you been tested to make sure you are not producing sperm antibodies?. If this answer is no I would look into seeing if you are producing such antibodies.

I was using pre seed when I conceived this time
It is also recommended when you have little or no fertile cervical fluid

Me too. First month off ttc using it - the previous months without it had been unsuccessful. Could just be pure luck though.

AttilaThe Meerkat (great name BTW!) - low sperm count a result of mumps orchitis, so antibodies not an issue, however further tests for both of us this week to get a complete picture. I am aware PreSeed is not a drug, but it seems to be a good idea for those who are TTC to use a lubricant that doesn't harm sperm, as some on the market apparently do. This is all new to me as only just found out we've got a problem!

We do have a dd of 2.5 but the dreaded mumps + orchitis struck after she came along! I would urge all blokes who haven't had mumps in childhood to get immunized against it if they haven't as kids yet!

I haven't come across Preseed being used for low sperm count situations, it's more for women who do not produce sufficient cervical mucus. I tried it for a couple of months, so didn't really give it any long-term test, but it didn't make any difference to me.

There is a supplement called Proxeed which is supposed to help male sperm counts - it was recommended to me by a friend who said it made a huge difference to her dh's sperm count.

My dh has a low sperm count, we have been told IVF (specifically ICSI) is the only way we'll have kids, and we hope to start the treatment in the New Year. In my research I have found a list of things that help men with their sperm count, which you might find useful: www.urologychannel.com/maleinfertility/treatment_alternative.shtml

Hope this helps,
Hugs,
Artoo.

Thanks Artoo will check out that link. I bought PreSeed 'cos not only is dh sperm count low, the sperm he has got are a bit wonky and crap at swimming apparently! Figured a lubricant that doesn't harm them and helps them on their long swim uphill might help a bit?! Wishful thinking maybe.... thanks again.
