The issue with google (and the day and age we live in in general) is that there is so much conflicting advice out there.
Take the common advices about TTC for instance. The say stop smoking and reduce alcohol. This is sensible. Everyone should be doing this anyway. Have a healthy diet and BMI. Again, sensible.
Then you get the more slightly absurd one. Make sure your man avoids hot temperatures and tight boxers. Well yes, in a way this makes sense but at the same time, your man isn't living in tight boxers and dipping his balls in temps for 45 degrees+. Avoid stress. Well yes, this is very sensible but honestly, who in their lives can avoid stress all together. Don't use lubricants. Well the CAN camage the sperm but that doesn't mean in 100% of cases they WILL. Don't use microwaves (yes this is one). No I don't get it.
Then you get the totally absurd suggestions, like no oral sex, or lifting your bum to "aid conception" or not to do any strenuous excercise while TTC, or to eat different fruits and veg through the different phases of the month.
The fact is someone has either heard a fact, or found that in "X" month they did "Y" and the result they got was "Z", therefore it must be fact and MUST be posted on the interwebs. If we trusted all these facts about TTC then we would be led to believe the only way to have a baby would be to sit entirely still all month whilst DP/DH's penis is in a perfect 37 degree tub of water, ready to stick in your totally dry fanjo at the peak time of the month. It's ludicrous.
Just keep doing what your are doing and try not to overthink it. The fact is stress DOES affect ovulation and implantation, and whilst we can't avoid stress in our lives we can act to minimise it.
Sorry for the mega long post, i'm bored at lunch
