Positive OPK but don't FEEL like OV

we've been TTC for 6 months now & on cycle 3 as cycles been super long since coming off pill.

Cycle 1 & 2 I used SI & knew when I was about to OV as uterus felt heavy & warm & lots of EWCM. Confirmed OV with OPK, BBT & painful OV cramp.

I started to get a bit obsessed with BBT & it was affecting my sleep so this cycle I've backed off & trying SMEP. I got positive OPK Friday & Saturday but only familiar OV symptom I've felt is cold symptoms & wet cm up until positive OPK.

Do you think not using SI has made my OV less noticeable or I've geared up but not followed through? Anyone went through the same?

How long are your cycles now?. I would seek medical advice sooner rather than later if your menstrual cycle is still very long. OPKs are not helpful in such circumstances. Ideally blood tests should be done to see what your hormone levels are like now; to begin with a day 2 test should be done to check your LH level against that of FSH.

First cycle 90+ days, cycle 2 55 days & this cycle got positive OPK on CD18. I've been getting acupuncture to help regulate my cycles which is having a good effect.

If no AF or BFP in 2 weeks I'll get booked in for tests. My Drs are a bit of a nightmare so be trying self-help first :)

I would think your first two cycles were anovulatory. A "normal" cycle is a cycle length of between 21 and 35 days.

OPKs are not helpful in this case because your cycles are irregular in nature. They can be misleading at best and wrong at worse. Also these just show a rise in LH levels and such a rise is just that, it does not indicate ovulation.

If your GP practice is a nightmare then I would change GP practice. That is far easier to do these days, its no point in dealing with a practice that you cannot communicate easily with.

Is it anovulatory when OV confirmed with BBT temp rise? That happened last 2 cycles
