Yep i used clearblue digital. Literally 30 seconds after i posted that my mum rang to say my sister is 6 weeks pregnant. I think I'll wait a while before testing again, don't think i could handle a BFN right now!

victoria401 · 17/12/2014 10:42

Hope you get out of limbo land soon boobear. Hopefully you and sis can be bump buddies!

Fingers crossed for you genni with your new symptoms! I'm still clinging on to the gross tasting tap water symptom! Spotting has returned this morning for me :-( feeling very af-y in general. Looking back at my app I could have ovd the day before so I could start tomorrow instead of Friday anyway...

Couldn't sleep last night either... Far too many thoughts in my head about my first Xmas dinner hosting and then treatment in the new year.... Urgh knackered today and I'm working a 10hour shift til 6pm...

Sparkly123 · 17/12/2014 11:13

Blue I feel the same and I'm sure lots of others do too. Sending Flowers I thought it would happen by Xmas too. Just got to keep positive that it WILL happen.

Victoria I feel the same pre AF like today. I'm pretty sure sadly Sad it's tough but hoping Xmas will take my mind off it. We are hosting too, but a last minute host my mother has taken ill so it's all quite chaotic at the moment- which probably isn't helping TTC either! That's life though eh. I hope your shift passes quickly!!

Spinning sadly my chart ain't good today after a temp rise yesterday it's dropped Sad not happy!!! Think I'm out. How are you!?

Sparkly123 · 17/12/2014 11:15

Ninja yep feel rotten today hardly slept! What About you?

Heres my chart ladies...

spinningirl10 · 17/12/2014 11:30

Sparkly, my chart looks like yours with the tiny rise around ov time. I'm hoping I see a better rise tomorrow. I'm sure I've ov'd! Hope af stays away for you despite the dip.

Victoria, keeping fx for you as well.

Boo, how frustrating, hope you're out of limbo land soon, preferably with a bfp.

MrsE, if you're still lurking how are you? Miss you here. Hope you're feeling a bit better.

Sparkly123 · 17/12/2014 11:55

spinning doesn't the temp dpi kinda guarantee I'm not pg though?!
I think even it you had a tiny rise it's enough if the next three temps are higher too! Fingers crossed for you!!

JessieMcJessie · 17/12/2014 11:56

Hello all. My stats say BFP due on the 16th but I ovulated a week late on cd20 so won't be enough dpo for a reliable test till Saturday (cd 33). Did an IC this morning anyway, BFN but am clinging on to fact that could be a false negative as just tested too early. I'm a bit freaked out by the late ovulation and what seems to be a corresponding longer cycle - my cycles have always been v regular 28 days (had a coil not the pill so no synthetic hormones), would be sods's bloody law that the minute we start TTC they let me down. I think maybe at least late ovulation with a 10 plus day luteal is better than late ovulation then short LP.

A friend who knows we are TTC sent me some wine for Christmas - she completely forgot that I'd be hoping not to be able to drink by then!

FX for all - I can't see the lines on the two photos posted above but glad others can and hoping you'll both be back with stronger BFPs very soon.

Sparkly123 · 17/12/2014 12:02

Jessie it's so frustrating isn't it? I think our bodies get a kick out of fooling us all!! Must be confusing for you. Do you know for sure you OV late? Did you use OPKs? Hoping that this is a lucky month for you and if not then hope that next cycle straightens itself out!!!

JessieMcJessie · 17/12/2014 12:05

Sparkly

spinning doesn't the temp dip kinda guarantee I'm not pg though?!

I think that the thing is that temps have to stay high after implanation and if they don't then it's a sure sign you're not pg. Before implantation it's the progesterone keeping temps high-ish, and it's supposed to keep pumping out for about 10 days or so to keep things cosy for implanation. If there has been implatation the progesterone ups a notch again. If no implanation it tails off.

Your dip looks to be about 6dpo, so not necessarily at the point where the body is no longer preparing for implantation, and your temp's gone up again. Maybe the dip was just a blip on the chart and means nothing.

Though possibly the dip shows that progesterone diminished to the extent that it might have thwarted implantation.

I have absolutely no idea really, just gleaned all this from FF and forums! But it makes a change from speculating on my own chart! Xmas Grin

JessieMcJessie · 17/12/2014 12:07

ah, we crossed sparkly! Yes, I did use OPKs, cheapy ones and got really strong lines; also charted so saw the temp rise afterwards.

Last month had a clearblue dual hormone digital and got a static smiley dead on day 14, though FF didn't really show a good enough temp rise.

ohlordyplordy · 17/12/2014 12:23

Just popping in to see how you ladies are doing and eek frolic has her bfp, yippee! Well done to frolic the wonder dog and her fertility talisman ways :)

ElleyBear13 · 17/12/2014 12:47

Aftynoon ladies, hows everyone doing? Any more signs? Taking another frer test in the morning to see that stronger line (just to update the faint pink line has got darker overnight and you can now deffos see it) :) xxx

Sparkly123 · 17/12/2014 13:42

Elley absolutely amazing news!!! So pleased for you!!

Jessie thanks so much for the info, I think just need to accept it this month and look forward to the next one!!... So the OPKs showed OV for you? You are right, a late ov is still better than not at all! Keep positive!

victoria401 · 17/12/2014 13:51

Yay elley!

I wish I didn't know that preg symptoms can be similar to af (eg. spotting, cramps) then I could just accept that its over instead of dragging it out for days with a "maybe, just maybe...."

mrsdos · 17/12/2014 13:57

Hello Ladies,
I hope you don't mind me posting? I have just seen Elly's lovely news and comments on line visability and thought I would ask a question.. I did an internet cheapie test this morning and got a faint positive line, is this correct? Do I wait a couple more days and see if its stronger? Advice very welcome Smile

gennibugs · 17/12/2014 14:11

yay elley fx for the frer tomorrow.

spinning sounds like you've dtd plenty at least. I've been half hearted too - gave up temping half way through and didn't do nearly as many opks.

blue enjoy the panto. sorry you're feeling dowm. I know many of us feeling the same re xmas and thinking we'd be upduffed.

Fx boobear maybe try a frer as they are more sensitive. Same for you Mrsdos - fx for you both.

victoria I know that feeling. been resigned all week to AF coming now today find myself symptom spotting and getting my hopes up. When I know know full well if I'm honest that AF is en route Grin

Blimeygirl · 17/12/2014 14:59

I think we are all feeling pretty similar as the Christmas period is upon us soon. No pun intended! You just want that extra bit of good news don't you! Was talking to a friend today who knows that we are ttc and they said that the chances are incredibly slim for me given that it is month #1. Trying to remain rational and not over think is really not working at the moment and just want that BFP! I dread to think what I'm gonna be like a few months down the line! I sort of wanna test early but don't want to be let down and get a bfn so struggling today big time Hmm

Rant over!

Rainy34 · 17/12/2014 15:42

its so tough Blimey, the two week wait is the killer, hoping this is your month!!

spotting seems to have disappeared for now, hoping that is a good sign but not getting too excited (yet)

spinningirl10 · 17/12/2014 16:17

Mrsdos, yes do another test, fx for youGrin

Genni and Victoria, I feel for you both. I always know when af is imminent and I hate it when I then start wondering 'what if'.
I'd be over the moon for you both to get your bfp but I am here brewing mulled wine for you so that if af arrives you can at least enjoy some Christmas fun xx

spinningirl10 · 17/12/2014 16:20

Sparkly, I'm not a temping expert but I've seen charts where they've had a dip and then still got a bfp. I think it has to stay above coverline.

I hope this is the month for lots of us rainy!

rubyrubes13 · 17/12/2014 17:46

Well in the tww dh made me giggle he said if we got a bfp and it was a girl we would have to seriously think about honey as a middle name

victoria401 · 17/12/2014 18:31

Someone mention mulled wine? Yes please! Spotting has been off and on all day. Enough for a panty liner. Ewww.

spinningirl10 · 17/12/2014 19:02

Haha Ruby, that would be funny! Hasn't Jamie Oliver got a dd called Honey?!!

Victoria, boo to the spotting, is that normal for you?
