Dear Santa, we've been a bit naughty in all the right ways, & given our husbands plenty of lays, we don't need presents under our tree's, we'd all be happy to get BFPs!! Love the Viroids....JSing 34!!

Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also know as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage. Self explanatory, who wouldn't?

ROC - Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Option decorations include photographs of political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedinging!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Edinburgh is lush! I love Tigerlily for dinner and stayed at Hotel du Vin last year - fab. Lovely to wander along George Street and stop for glass of fizz in Harvey Nicks. Oooh want to go now!

mustbemad71 · 04/12/2014 15:10

PS Jelly your self-control is awesome - I the true sense of the word!

TinkerBlue · 04/12/2014 15:20

Fwiw jelly I'm with you, stay off the booze and piss again at the weekend. The test looked flooded rather than liney to me. Doesn't mean you're out but you def need to wait a day or two and piss again.

Sorry for bfn indigo but you're way too early.

Welcome newbies Grin

So breaking news, I have just been diagnosed with a benign pituatory tumour (it's in your brain above your nose). It's easily treated with tablets. Weirdly, as its quite rare, my gp has it too. She got upduffed soon after beginning treatment, and then again 8 months after her 1st!
I'm being referred to an endocrinologist before I start treatment. So probably Jan before anything happens now.
On the plus side other hormones were ok, lh was high but she said that was down to my pcos and not to worry.
Progesterone was 69!!!! Woop woop! So my body is trying, she reckons it's the prolactin from my pituatory that is stopping the magic happening.

Hope you are all ok, back to my month off but will keep lurking. Love to all Flowers

jellypi3 · 04/12/2014 15:36

Wow Tink that's terrifying, hope you're ok???

Gx it's all fixed soon! (And thanks for being the sensible one!!)

honeysucklejasmine · 04/12/2014 16:17

Gosh Tink are you ok? I guess if you are going to have a tumor the benign is the way to go, but still!

TinkerBlue · 04/12/2014 16:23

Sorry ladies, didn't mean to scare you I am totally fine. It's easily treated and will not need surgery etc. prognosis is very good, and treatment should correct my infertility! Apparently I will have a nipper this time next year (according to my lovely gp)

Leela5 · 04/12/2014 16:28

tonk that's sounds both negative and positive, obviously not great that you need treatment but if treatment could assist fertility...? Hope you're ok and it's not painful.

must you named a place i used to work ;) can't say which as I'll out myself!

bat yes! And they have the most amazing Christmas tree!

ChatEnOeuf · 04/12/2014 16:33

Goodness Tink - high PrL certainly can inhibit ovulation! Good to get it sorted, nice that it can be done with tablets alone - big relief.

Yes, there's another strike here on Monday, and again the following Monday - DH is having to fly out on Sunday to get to his Monday meeting on time. Good thing I've given him a long shopping list, otherwise I fear he would be bored Grin

jellypi3 · 04/12/2014 16:40

Urgh stomach cramps...go away!!!
Also, I looked into becoming a teacher today (I do this, every few months decide I want a new career). Apparently my highly sought after degree I got is worth bugger all in the teaching world! Whodathunkit!

Fleurchamp · 04/12/2014 17:49

tink is it cushings that you have been diagnosed with?

lildottie · 04/12/2014 17:51

tink this may be controversial but I'm really happy for you! obvs not great to have a tumour but the fact it is so treatable and benign and will hopefully be the key to getting your baby is fantastic news. bet you are glad you went for more tests now rather than just adopting! did they say how long you may have had it?

jelly I don't buy this evap crap. none of mine have been anything but blank pure white after the 10mins bin sifter here

kezaroo · 04/12/2014 18:03

Evening all.

Wow tink - echo what everyone has said above. Horrible to hear of the tumour however the facility side of things is good!

jelly throw us some of that willpower please?

Today's symptoms:
Few twinges
blue boobs Hmm (swear they are getting bigger)
Foul mood (due to lack of sleep last night I presume)
(TMI) wet.
Not eaten a great deal today either which is unlike me. Have been mega busy though.

I hate this waiting around for af. More so as DH has put a ban on POAS-ing!

TinkerBlue · 04/12/2014 18:06

Thanks ladies.

lil I know, right? me and dh are weirdly chuffed. After being called back for further tests and stuff I was convinced I had something awful! My gp said today that this is the best possible outcome. She was worried she'd find nothing I think. Then she couldn't help with babies....

Don't know how long I've had it, they can come on any time but only affect 1 in 10,000 people. She takes a tablet twice per week as treatment and that's it. Hopefully it'll be that simple for me Smile

It's called prolactinoma fleur

lildottie · 04/12/2014 18:10

definitely a good first thing to try before considering ivf and adoption I'd say! did she say how long it could take for your fertility to be positively affected by treatment? I guess you just keep shagging so you get that bfp as soon as it kicks in!

OP posts:
TinkerBlue · 04/12/2014 18:17

It works straight away! In the literature she gave me it says fertility is affected immediately so you may get pregnant before you have a period so think about contraception blah blah blah!

I still have the pcos too though. Although my progesterone is normal, but still can't get too excited. Also I can't start treatment until I've been seen by an endocrinologist which might not be until January, so back to taking December off! But if they can fix this it all looks ok as long as Mr.tinks swimmers are behaving Confused

lildottie · 04/12/2014 18:19

when do you get his results?

OP posts:
lildottie · 04/12/2014 18:20

tink we could both have Feb bfps!

OP posts:
TinkerBlue · 04/12/2014 18:20

TinkerBlue · 04/12/2014 18:20

lildottie · 04/12/2014 18:21

OP posts:
TinkerBlue · 04/12/2014 18:23

Omg, how can ivf and a tumour make two viroids so excited Smile Feb it is, you're on Wink

Jcandy · 04/12/2014 18:28

Hi everyone been catching up on you all.

GX for jelly and indigo for the weekend.

Tink that sounds great if it really is that simple Smile

I went back to work on Wednesday and it's kept me busy. Coming to terms with it more now. Think it helps that the bleeding has slowed to spotting now. Hoping to test for my bfn on Monday and then gx I can try again this cycle

jellypi3 · 04/12/2014 18:46

Hey candy good to hear from you and see you have a PMA!! Big hugs to you.

tink now you have explained it better it makes a lot more sense! That's good news to you and I am literally keeping everything crossed for you and lil to get your BFP's early next year!!

kez no amount of what I say will stop the crazies lol! What DPO are you?

Left the party early and only had 2 sips of G&T. Made me feel really sick drinking it.

lil...just Shh ;)

kezaroo · 04/12/2014 18:55

No idea jelly as I don't know when I ovulated as had no signs. So there's a chance I didn't...

jellypi3 · 04/12/2014 19:01

Ahh I'm in the same bost. Never see EWCM, never get positive OPK. What cd are you on
