Hello
Im 28 and feel like im leaving babies far too late.
I have been with my partner for 9 years and we have decided that next year I will come off the pill (cerazette) and we shall try for a family.

I just have a horrible feeling like we have left this too late, as ive heard stories that it can take months or even years to conceive after coming off the pill.

I feel really anxious and in a way im nervous of trying to conceive because it might not happen - what if I cant have kids?!

Another thing is - Ive been taking this pill for years, not for contraception but because I have very heavy and painful periods, and obviously I will have to suffer when I come off them :(

Any advice would be grateful.

I have conceived within two months three times - at 32, 34 and 36. It totally depends on the person and you won't know until you try but the odds are very much in your favour at your age (look online at stats for conception rates by age).Good luck!

Took 4 months to conceive (had a month off in the middle due to being really ill with chicken pox, so 3 months of trying).

I was nearly 39 and had taken old fashioned full on pill for about 20 years Smile
