Spinning I think we have matching prize arse exs! You see they have to be crap so we remember why we aren't with them any more Wink

Dozygirl · 12/10/2014 18:55

Congrats jackie!! Was it you that was worried AF was starting? Looking forward to your stats. That's my favourite part of hearing about ppls bfps lol.

Treaclepie19 · 12/10/2014 19:11

Argh! Drama!
I'd been prescried some hydrocortisone cream for vaginal irritation. Put it on tonight then read the leaflet which says do not put on genitals. Panicked. Rang pharmacy and 111. Both say it's not for genital use but don't know why. The nurse on 111 said to ring the doctor tomorrow.
Hoping it's ok though :/ guessing it can't be bad or I'd have been sent to a&e.

MrsE this little bean is ccertainly makING themselves known! I hope you've been able to relax and look after yourself today x

Boosk · 12/10/2014 19:19

Oooh, yes Jackie we need stats!

Boosk · 12/10/2014 19:24

treacle that's a bit worrying for you. We've had similar issues in the past with DP being prescribed stuff with says you shouldn't take if you have bowel disease but on querying with doctors they say it's fine. So check with docs in the morning, hope it helps anyway.

Jackiebrambles · 12/10/2014 19:28

Thank you lovely pregtober ladies!
You all rock.
It's been so nice to come here and be honest about how I'm feeling.

Me and DH are very happy but also realistic about the fact that there is an awful long way to go....

I was starting to get worried what with being 37....

This was cycle 4 of ttc number 2. Our DS is 20 months.

This cycle what I did differently: took seven seas trying for a baby instead Of pregnacare and used both ic opks and boots ovulation tests.

Last month I had only used internet cheapies and I never got a + test. So I doubled up and did a boots opk at 1pm and an ic at 7pm.

I also started early so not to miss my surge and I'm so glad I did as last two cycles I thought I ovulated on day 14. Anyway I got a strong positive on a boots test on cd11.

We dtd on days 8, 10, 11 and 13. We used preseed lubricant and I put a pillow underneath my bum each time.

Symptom wise not a lot - but I got a load of very creamy cm on 4dpo.

Then on Friday (9dpo) my lower back started aching and I also thought I spied a tiny amount of brown spotting (but very tiny). So I thought AF was making a v early appearance. Was gutted.

Also on Friday there was a really strong smell in my office, like burnt rubber or something, and it wasn't bothering anyone else! I couldn't bear it!
A heightened sense of smell was a big symptom in my last pregnancy.

I was away with a friend last night and had a drink (eek), and both yesterday and today I've been obsessively checking knickers for more brown spotting - none but definitely a fair bit of creamy cm.

I got home after lunch today and decided to do an ic test just so I could stop bloody thinking about it and an extremely faint line came up!l
Then did the frer and second line came up in 2 mins. Excited!!

Thanks for all your support - am going to read back now! Xxx

Boosk · 12/10/2014 19:36

Awesome stats, thanks Jackie and congratulations again. I'll be ordering myself a batch of ic opks and pre-seed for next month I think. Assuming no BFP this time of course Wink

rubyrubes13 · 12/10/2014 20:06

Congrats to all the bfp we have had so far October's been a lucky month ..... going to give it a week then I am off to the doctors only symptom I have is tiredness nothing else not even af due symptoms I did have a spot and I mean a spot on Thursday which I thought was af but no nope nada don't like been in limbo

Jackiebrambles · 12/10/2014 20:09

Ruby I think some women just don't get a bfp for ages, a couple of my friends were like that. Fingers crossed for you x

wanttobeamummyin2015 · 12/10/2014 20:13

Congrats Jackie! That is brill news! Hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months

Jackiebrambles · 12/10/2014 20:14

Fingers crossed you won't need to Boosk! I'm so glad I doubled up this month, if I'd had carried on with ics I would have never known I was ovulating!

Bovnydazzler · 12/10/2014 20:19

Just rolling in to say hi. Wowee to the BFPs today I'm loving hearing the stories (that's how fertility obsessed I am). Mrs E hope you are having an uneventful and pain free Sunday evening.

I'm not even on this bus, due to ridiculous and irregular periods I have been bus hopping from March, to June, to September. Was even fearing I wouldn't make it onto November but my period unexpectedly and happily came this week (after CD51) so reckon I'll grab a place there. Of course desperate for the BFP last month but I'd take AF over limbo land anyday.

Can't fault the NHS, my doctor referred me to specialist in July despite not trying for 12 months by that point due to crazy periods, I have got my HSG scan for blocked tubes on Tuesday.... Slightly nervous about it being uncomfortable. I doubt this will find anything as it's most likely an ovulation issue, but gynocologist won't prescribe clomid without it... Hoping to be on that come November/December time if this isn't my BFP cycle... Looking for a clomid buddy if anyone is interested!

Sorry for chatting away on your October thread when my 'BFP' at least a month away, but November bus is (obviously) fairly quiet now.

spinningirl10 · 12/10/2014 20:24

Yes sunbathing and MrsE, very good reason for him being an ex. Ds still not home, bless him, he's always tucked up in bed and asleep by this time. He's always so busy he likes his sleep. Hope he's home soon.

Jackie, thanks for the stats. Looks like the opk's worked for you.

I am so confused today, most of my cm seems to have disappeared Hmm after lots of white and creamy, to lots of watery, to ewcm white and stretchy yesterday to hardly anything today? I know I analyse too much but i cant help it Blush it feels like the only way i can maintain some kind of control. I am not really hopeful for a bfp anymore, it is cycle 1 after all, and the only symptom i have had reliably for the last few days has been hunger (but I could just genuinely be hungry!) Have ordered some frer off amazon as they do not sell them round here, but going to hold out til Wednesday unless af shows up early or I get a line on an IC before then!

xBlueberry88x · 12/10/2014 20:50

evening ladies,

Mrse sorry your still suffering I hope the pain doesnt last to long.

Congrats to the bfps!!

Bov Ive just taken my first set of clomid (last tablet today) im technically on the November bus but cant seem to leave these lovely ladies.
The HSG isnt to bad the worst bit is when they inflate the balloon it feels like really bad af cramps but in the wromg place. Make sure you take some paracetamol about an hour before and take a pad with you because there will be some blood and juice that will come out (tmi). Dont drive after and definately take your dp/dh with you.

Want Lovely you need to try and relax your so early into the ttc journey you will learn so much about your body but stress is not your friend. If you start stressing this early on and it takes a while itll really start getting to you hun.

Ruby fx your body does something soon ive been late twice and once was due to pregnacare (7 days late)

Spinning sorry your ex is an ass!!
Took last clomid tablet today fx it does whats its supposed have to wait over a week to find out

spinningirl10 · 12/10/2014 21:03

Blueberry, it will be exciting when you can find out what effect the clomid has had.

Wantotbe, creamy mc is often present after ov, I've had it before, sometimes it tails off and sometimes it stays until just before af arrives. You've probably heard us saying that so many af/bfp symptoms are the same. As English says, you'll soon get to recognise how your cycles work......it won't stop you symptom spotting like a crazy person though Grin

MaMaPo · 12/10/2014 21:03

Morning all! A bfn here this morning (which is even more crap as i'd dreamt about celebrating a bfp with my husband!) but AF is due today and it's only 10dpo so I'm not out until I'm out. Fx the witch leaves me alone.

Congrats Jackie!

Haven't time to chat about anyone else as got to get ready for work. Anyone else poasing today?

Tranquilitybaby · 12/10/2014 21:08

Ah congrats jackie that's great news. Don't worry about having a drink, nothing can have been passed in yet as the placenta hasn't formed.

It's CD28 for me tomorrow, the day AF usually arrives. Will hold out until Tuesday to test as I can't take the heartache of last month xx anyone else testing in the next few days if AF doesn't arrive? X

Tranquilitybaby · 12/10/2014 21:08

Sorry you got a bfn ma ma but as you say, v early days yet. Wait until AF would be due xx

Nordicmom · 12/10/2014 21:09

Haven't read back sorry but aargh started bleeding earlier what a surprise.
Still feel sick as hell etc and the thin lines on tests make me think that once ageing conceived but it didn't stick . I seem to have ovulated regularly in the last year except this month when it seemed erlier and it seems to fertilise often but it's the bit after that goes wrong . So don't think soy is going to help me . Been tested for everything inc natural killer cells . It's uncanny that our surrogate succeeded with our embryo on the second go but I can't hold on to them time after time . Hesitant about Ivf whether it's just throwing thousands down the drain . Have f had enough

Boosk · 12/10/2014 21:11

Thanks Jackie and welcome Bov.

Want I second what blueberry says, although I know it's easy to say please try not to stress. It's really not over until AF arrives and 9dpo is still early to test. Thanks

flowerbombVR · 12/10/2014 21:13

Awww Jackie :)
So happy for you xx

wanttobeamummyin2015 · 12/10/2014 21:15
