ttc 6 months after EMCS

DP and I have been ttc conceive for almost 5 months. DD is 6mo but it took us 18m to conceive first time around so worried I may have problems again... MW told me after DD was born that we should wait a year for my cs scar to completely heal (although I feel it is good to go!) so I am worried that the doctor will not give me anything to help me ovulate. We really want quite a small age gap. Has anyone had experience of starting clomid/similar 6 months after a cs? Any help would be fab :)

Hi Beaker, am in a similar (ish) situation - currently almost five months out from a c-section and am trying to conceive. Midwives initially told me to wait a year before ttc, when I met with a consultant at the six week checkup she said that waiting six months was fine; when I contacted her a few weeks later to say actually we would like to start ttc at three months postpartum she said that was fine too. So hopefully that aspect of it shouldn't be a problem.

Re. Clomid, I know very little about this, but am thinking of requesting it myself as I seem to have very long unsettled cycles since the c-section, and since I am 37, I don't want to wait too long for things to happen naturally.

Sorry that I can't given any practical advice, but will be watching thread in case anyone else post with more information.

I got pg 6 months after emcs and all was fine. I had a successful vbac with induction. I had no comments one way or the other from midwives or doctors (consultant led care due to previous emcs) re the small gap.

thanks for your help ladies, spoke to the doctor and she told me that ttc now is ok but the won't give me anything to help with fertility as I am young (21) and 18 months ttc first time round is quite a normal length of time. Fingers and toes crossed for a bfp this month!
