Was sick this morning, do I test?

Brief history. I'm 21 next month. Irregular/abscent AF since coming off the pill last year. No period since June (I think). BFN in July. Last month I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid, and put on thyroxine.

I was sick this morning and have felt nauseous all week. BUT I also had diahorria a few days ago so had put it down to that. We are moving house at the moment so things have been rather stressful but we have BD a few times.

I haven't felt the urge to test recently as so often I've convinced myself that I'm pregnant, only to get BFN. At least if I found I was -ve through getting AF it would be a reason to celebrate (because my body is working well again). I just don't want to have a BFN test.

However a BFP+ would make my month/year/life... lol

I would test, but wouldn't be too hopeful of a bfp just yet, but testing now is vital if you're on medication for your thyroid, as too much thyroxin can be harmful to an unborn baby, and if you've only just started taking the medication it's likely they haven't got the dose right yet to balance out your thyroid levels. If you're not pg then I would advise yu speak to your endochrinologist (can't spell that) to discuss whether you should be ttc at the moment or whether you should wait until your thyroid levels are more balanced. good luck

I should add that I am on a starting dose of 25mg of Thyroxine (so I wouldn't imagine it would be a great problem). I don't smoke/drink/have lots of caffine, and I'm already on Folic acid.

did the doctor tell you that your absent af could be down to your thyroid level?i had no af for well over 18 months and that was down to my thyroid level going down.

i went on to have 2 more babies after that, and am currently trying for numer 6!

im currently on 150mg thyroxine, and my af's are still all over the place.

if i was you, leave it a few more days before you do another test, just incase your feeling dodgy is down to a bug and the stress of moving.

if you still feel like it then do a test.also you should tell your gp that you are ttc and they can do some blood tests to check you hormone levels arent affected by your thyroid.(when i had no af my gp did bloods and my hormone levels were really down and she increased my thyroxine as my thyroid level was still too low, once she put my thyroxine up,i concieved)hope that makes sense!!
