My sister's husband has been told he has low motility - not sure of hte figures as he is waiting for a call from the specialists.

What are the options for this, assuming no female factor? Does it automatically mean IVF Is ICSI an option?

I guess it depends on just how low the motility is - whether it's at the lower end of normal, or very reduced. Also just one bad SA doesn't necessarily mean a problem, the results can really change in a few months. Taking vitamins and making lifestyle changes can also have a huge impact.

ICSI is an option, again it depends on what the result is. Some clinics offer split IVF / ICSI, which is what we did. It's quite helpful from a diagnostic point of view to do that, as it gives an indication of whether the sperm can fertilise the egg on their own.
