Has anyone used Ovusense?

I'm interested in the product as due to my age and declining hormones I'm finding opks and also the CB fertility monitor unreliable.

Hi

I have been using ovusense for 4 months now..

I was diagnosed with PCOS last june after trying for a baby for almost 3 years... I had the usual battle with my Gp etc who gave me a blood test etc and then I had the referral to a specialist at birmingham women's hospital.

I had a21 day blood test (which was day 25 coz I have a 33 day cycle) and the results came back as I wasn't ovulating! Anyways... I have since found out since using ovusense that I am ovulating it's just on day 27 of my cycle so it's very late! I'm taking my ovusense to my next appointment on Thursday so I can show my specialist that I am ovulating on my own and I'm hoping he may press on with treatment for me :-)

Although I'm not pregnant yet, my ovusense has been invaluable to me and it's such a useful tool for anyone wanting to conceive whether they have pcos or not.

I know this is an old thread but wondered how you got on with it if you bought it op?

And CPrice11 - still think it's worthwhile?

I'm thinking about getting it but it is quite spendy.

Yes it's absolutely worthwhile! After 3.5 years I'm now 17 weeks pregnant! I was prescribed clomid by my fertility specialist in order to move my ovulation and help with a longer luteal phase.

The first two months I still ovulated on day 21 of a 29 day cycle but then the third month my ovulation hPpened on day 15! I would have totally missed it if it wasn't for ovusense as I didn't have any other signs of ovulation!

Have just purchased one as my cycles is getting longer each month so I'm completely lost as to when I'm ovulating. I have one DS who is just two.
They have a discount at the mo - so I have paid £29 rather than £129 think its discounted until mid December - I figure its workth trying and its sounds like its really suited to those of us who have to deal with PCOS!

I've just bought one for £29, I need to loose weight before we actively try but want to get a record of my cycles and see if I'm ovulating as I can never read opk sticks. Was glad I googled for the discount code as that was a big saving of £100

Check out the ovusense website and use the code BABYDUST it's an internal thermometer you use each night which tracks your base temp and predicts ovulation. There is a fb Group that's useful

ooo do you wear it all the time or just in the mornings? Does it predict it before it happens rather than charting your temperature which tells you after?
I'm doing the clearblue trial just now so would have to wait till after that (hopefully i don't need to )

Sorry just took a look on the ovusense fb page and the code is BABYDUST2016 which says it works until 16/12
You insert it like a tampon each night and after the first cycle the app will predict your ovulation a few days before.
I've only been using mine for 5 days and apparently I'm ovulating now which is much earlier than I expected!

Has anyone used Ovusense?

The £20 subscription can be cancelled at any time so you aren't tied in. They also do a 12 month subscription bundle too now. It works out cheaper overall. Plus they usually have discounts running, there is 25% off at the moment using AUTUMNBABY

I'm on my first month of using it. I have PCOS and struggle to know when I ovulate as opk are unless on me. It is very user friendly and the sensor is easy to use and comfy ( my biggest concern) once you buy it you can join the ovusense users group on fb, although very American there is lots of useful advice. There's always a discount code so don't pay full price. X

I'm also considering buying one of these, can I just ask how comfortable are they? I don't where tampons and am a bit freaked out by the size and shape of it but other than that sounds like it's exactly what I need

It’s slightly larger than a tampon but it’s not uncomfortable at all. It’s made of medical grade silicone so (without being too crude) it skips in easily. You can also use a sperm friendly lubricant if you need to 😊

I posted on this with a different name (whenwill..) and just saw that people had commented. I got pregnant the second month and I'm sure it's because of ovusense. I even told my GP and he now recommends it to PCOSers.
My son has just turned 1 Smile

Such an old thread but I thought I might help answer the question for anyone looking in 2019!! My hubby and I have been trying to conceive for a while now. We’ve tried Ovusense but it just didn’t really seem to work for us after using it for half a year but I think it’s a wonderful product nonetheless and will definitely work for some women. I might have just had very irregular cycles. We started using the Mira ovulation tracker a couple months ago and it’s been pretty cool to see actual fertility hormone results and concentrations (we used to kill ourselves going back and forth between hospitals and labs to get the same type of readings). Anyways, we just confirmed I'm pregnant last week and hoping for a safe pregnancy. Both Ovusense and Mira are great products but definitely suggest you do research before buying either.

@maryannwalsh I was looking into both of the Ovusense and Mira. I have pcos and have irregular periods. Wondering if you had pcos also.
