I know it's early but I had a month off in September. Here is October's bus! :)

All aboard the spooky train!

It was just a fertility checker from boots. It doesn't give all the info of course like shape of sperm or mobility, just a simple low or normal reading. It was on the shelf with the ov kits. But actually for us it's been a good thing as it's made dh realise it's his body too that's gotta work. I did ideally want to be pg by the time I was 35, still time but we are going up a gear now, after 10 months. Dh is going to retest in 2 days then as soon as we are moved head off to the dr for a more detailed analysis. It's kick started his diet. It took us 19 months post mc to get pg last time. Maybe this is the reason?

AutumnMagic · 09/09/2014 08:08

Morning ladies, Thanks for stats sunbathing welcome sherbet and MrsE I am sorry to hear the results of your Dh count, now at least he knows to seek some help to get sorted asap and you will get your Bfp V.soon. xx

MrsExtraOrdinary · 09/09/2014 09:12

I'm just glad it was on the shelf as it broached the subject more easily. Although funnily enough he did get an evap line at about 20 mins (test ready in 7mins) and I had a giggle after several hundred pg tests, all bfn, I could say, no dear it doesn't count if it's after the allotted time! We also know it is possible as we have ds and dh has 3 older biological children. But he's nearly 41 now (his eldest 20) so his swimmers could be diminishing.

spinningirl10 · 09/09/2014 09:21

MorningGrin

Didn't get on here yesterday. Had to gets new phone sorted as mine got smashed at my party! Anyway up and running again now so will catch upGrin

spinningirl10 · 09/09/2014 09:24

Ooh MrsE, we're cycle buddies, Bfp's due on the same day, let's do it!!!
Still can't decide on the soy, cd 3 so will take later if I decide to.
Sperm tester sounds interesting, hope he gets a better result next test.

spinningirl10 · 09/09/2014 09:33

Sunbathing, thanks for adding me on.

Blueberry, hope you're feeling a bit brighter now. It's always tough when af arrives. Now that you're ovulating you'll hopefully get your bfp very soonThanks

MrsExtraOrdinary · 09/09/2014 09:33

Whoopee spinning come on 4th of October is lucky anyway! It's my parents 45th wedding anniversary! Thanks And June babies are just as lovely as may babies. Grin

spinningirl10 · 09/09/2014 09:36

Ahh a summer baby would be lovely. Think I get 2 goes on the October bus with being so early in month.

Aprilray · 09/09/2014 09:57

Morning ladies, well I am officially an October bus passenger, as expected AF arrived this morning (in the early hours totally disrupting my sleep so I am extra grumpy today).

My stats are;
Aprilray, 33, TTC #1, Cycle 10, BFP due 7-11 October.

Have my fertility MOT next Monday so hopefully by the end of next week I will know whether we are going to need a wee bit of help or whether it is just a case of keeping at it. Also have my Clear Blue OPK trial to do.
Going to get myself some of that super duper honey MrsE I have IBS so maybe it will help with that too. Think I am going to give the epo a miss and try cough medicine this cycle for extra ewcm.
I would love a summer baby too Spinning so FX for success within the next few cycles.

laurano81 · 09/09/2014 12:15

Hi all x

Can I join the October bus please?

Af just got me Sad... I was really hopeful that I would get a BFP, as I had a very strong +opk Cd 14, & ovulated CD 15 2 days earlier than my usual CD 17 ovulation ...I got all the way to 14 dpo (today),....that is the longest luteal phase I have had since TTC last December 2013... I usually start spotting 9 dpo & AF arrives 10 dpo ...gutted that I didn't get a BFP, but I am glad that my luteal phase has dramatically improved x

Stats:
laurano81, 32, TTC#2, Bike 11, BFP due 7th October x

Aprilray · 09/09/2014 12:27

Thanks Sunbathing and thanks for adding me to the stats list. It is so disappointing because we had the week of ov off and were nice and relaxed and DTD plenty....I will just have to do my best to relax in the evenings and not let work stress me out.
Nice to see you Laurano though obviously sorry that you are still waiting for your BFP too. Good news that your luteal phase has dramatically improved though.

xBlueberry88x · 09/09/2014 12:30

Spinning im okay just getting fed up im not a very positive person lol...but im trying to think of it as only cycle 3ish as thats how long I know ive definately been ovulating.

Laurano Sorry to see you here but good to see your luteal phase has increased mine seems to fluctuate between 10 and 14 hopefully my body will sort itself out soon.

Trying to lose weight is such a bitch not matter how good I eat and how much I exercise I dont seem to lose anything is pissing me off!!! Im worried that if I dont lose the weight the gynae doc wanted he wont help me (but he was blaming my weight for me not ovulating which I know I am now).

ChandlersFarang · 09/09/2014 12:39

Hiyaaaaaaa October bus!!

So I have been joyriding on the September bus rather pointlessly, as my current cycle officially 'failed', oops! No ovulation. Better luck next time!! With any luck tho, I should ovulate again before the end of September. Although they want me to have an IUI this time (ie wash DH's sperm for ultimate swimming capability and then squirt them up there on ov day!!). This is great, but it's a race against the clock, as I'm going to the Baltics and UK for work/hols at the end of the month so if I ovulate late, then the hospital won't be able to do the IUI in time. Come on body, grow an egg quick!! Grin

(For those that don't know me I'm a long-term bus traveller since Jan, was diagnosed with PCOS this summer, and now having my cycles stimulated with hormones/fertility drugs as I live in Thailand and don't have to jump through NHS hoops! Everyone kindly let me stay on the busses despite all my unusual circumstances!). SmileSmile

Stats:
ChandlersFarang, 32, TTC#1, BFP due 9 October (with any luck!)

Will read back now... Good luck everyone!! X x x x

ChandlersFarang · 09/09/2014 12:42

April - sorry AF got you but great that you've got your appointment on Monday!! Knowledge is totally power. Keep us posted Smile

Blue - I believe you may also have PCOS, am I right? Are you on metformin? It really can help with weight loss if you do have the condition... Sorry if I've remembered wrong!!

MrsE - how interesting on your DH's tests. That would explain a lot!! My DH is 31 and super fit and healthy so we were shocked to hear he has low motility. This is why we have decided to try IUI next cycle - me having PCOS is enough let alone adding in the reduced chances of his swimmers not making it to my hard-won egg!! Lol!! Grin

Welcome to the newbies and don't hesitate to ask questions about all the weird and wonderful acronyms and random TTC stuff we all get up to here... GrinGrin

xBlueberry88x · 09/09/2014 12:55

Chandlers The Gynae didnt mention anything and my HSG didnt show anything so im guessing not.
Being over weight runs in my family annoyingly and ive never been able to lose weight quickly.

Ive been exercising everyday, as well as cycling when I can and eating healthy but i havent lost any weight but I have lost 2 inches from my bum lol

IUI sounds nerve racking are you worried?

frogbubbles · 09/09/2014 12:56

Hello October Bus!! Just marking my place, still on the Sept Bus, but this month been so stressed I know in my heart I won't be getting.a BFP. So roll on October. Sunbathing that list is very impressive, you are so organised.

Good luck everyone Smile

ChandlersFarang · 09/09/2014 12:59

Blue - Does an HSG look at your ovaries or just your tubes/uterus? PCOS is only seen on an ultrasound scan, or detected through having your hormone levels analysed via blood test.

It must be so annoying to try losing weight to no avail - but that's fab news on the inches!! Inches are more important than what it says on the scales - as you may be building muscle, which weighs more than fat. Smile

ChandlersFarang · 09/09/2014 13:00

Oh and on the IUI - no I'm not worried, I'm actually quite excited!! As it means I'm getting ever closer to my BFP!! GrinGrinGrin x x x

spinningirl10 · 09/09/2014 13:01

Hi April and Lauran, sorry af arrived for you both. Lauran it's tough when you've been so hopeful, fx for this cycleThanks

Blueberry, have you tried using my fitness pal to track what you eat? It's very good and can be quite an eye opener where calories are concerned.

Chandler, sounds like the sperm squirting would give you a good chance, fx you ov before you leave.

xBlueberry88x · 09/09/2014 13:20

Chandlers Ive had both a HSG which is die injected through tubes into ovaries so shows both and and internal scan plus many many blood tests I guess Id know by now if I had pcos although it would explain some things

Spinning I already use it and never rich the limit on calories I dont eat anything unhealthy really, I rarely have chocolate I dont eat crisps or bread, I only have 2 teas a day max and dont drink alcohol, no biscuits or anything like that (being coeliac helps with a lot of this). I cut down a lot on every things years ago.

Hi Frog

Blueberry....Sounds like you're doing everything right. It must be very frustrating for you to be eating well and still not seeing a difference. If you're exercising maybe your shape rather than your weight is changing.

allatonce99 · 09/09/2014 17:24

Hello to those that had to move over from Sep, fx this month is it :)
mrse that honey sounds interesting will be making a mental note in case I need a boost and fx you dh next test comes up better or you can help with his swimmers
spinning I also have a shorter cycle so if af turns up on the 4th I should also get another shot like you but fx we don't need it!
chandlers I love your positivity , go you! I hope you get a big juicy ripe egg ready for you next month :)
blue I hope you can get some answers soon Smile
Big waves to everyone else Grin
