Dental x-rays are fine. I have some links bookmarked about it but they are on my other PC. Don't worry.

Thanks lemonaid.. does that count if it's xrays at the hospital? am assuming that they will only xray teeth area but will rays stop the egg if it is a general xray ( can't imagine why it would be but it's at the hospital and don't know if it will be specific?) can't take the risk if there is any but molar in terrible probs.. that said i assume i won't be able to have anything done to it if i do fall preg as won't be able to have anasthetic?

x-rays wouldn't stop the egg anyway -- they'd be more of a risk post-ovulation (when you might be pregnant) than before. If you did have a general x-ray they'd give you a lead apron to wear, and you could ask for that even for the dental x-ray if it will help set your mind at rest.

I think you can have local anaesthetic when pregnant with no problems (and obviously in an emergency you can have general, they just don't like to do it) so could have the tooth out if necessary. But I'm not 100% sure on that one.

Stress and illness can delay ovulation so in many ways if the tooth is causing you that much pain it's more likely to delay ovulation than any of the diagnostic procedures are.

Thanks so much lemonaid.. gosh I never even considered that I might not be ovulating because of the tooth issue.. I have been trying to conceive for a while this time to no avail.. maybe I'll just press ahead with the tooth op like you suggest. Thanks so much for your help, most appreciated
