Oh birdtable sorry to hear that :( I would definitely be less sad if AF arrived. As you say I could just get on with things then!

I very much doubt I will test early next month (this happened the other times, I learnt my lesson, waited patiently, and turned out to be pregnant!)

Chocolate and a nice drink for you Bird xx

Sorry to everyone getting the BFNs. It's pants. AF is here today for me. TMI warning!! I went to the toilet and passed a large piece of tissue.. Presumably from my miscarriage. So I guess that's why I haven't gotten pregnant again. I shall go to the doctors to check if I need to worry. So rubbish. I think of all the people I know that have had accident babies and I can't believe it's so hard to get one on purpose!

RedBunny · 12/06/2014 08:00

And birdtable I totally get what you're saying! I am keen to just get sorted out and get to next ovulation now. And I don't know that I will ever early test again either. It's too expensive and disheartening!!

ladyflower23 · 12/06/2014 08:10

Morning everyone. Sorry to hear of af birdtable. Mine due today so on high knicker alert. I agree with all that af preferable to bfn as at least it's conclusive.
Thanks for link Claire. I have been getting the sore blobs, nausea and dizziness and been blaming it on new pms or pill withdrawal. Now wondering! I've nearly finished current packet so might try a different one next.
Tezza think you are meant to have sex during 48 hours of getting pos to catch the egg.

Ah I'm sorry Redbunny and Bird. It is a shame but at least you now know what is what and you can have a glass of wine or two and let your mind relax a little before the madness begins again in two weeks. Hope this cycle is your one!

AF due for me today...I'm nervous everytime I go to the toilet!!

AngelsInWinter · 12/06/2014 08:31

Good luck everyone due on today xxx

JaneyTea · 12/06/2014 09:08

Morning. Also on knickerwatch Ladyflower - mine's not due for another couple of days, but feels like it's on it's way. This is making feel wobbly about testing tomorrow - might just leave it, as I'm almost certain it would be a BFN.

Next month I feel like I need to monitor things more closely, rather than just using an app. Thermometer and OPKs are in my Amazon basket, awiting confirmation of the arrival of AF.....

Good luck to everyone else who is also on knickerwatch.

CatRen27 · 12/06/2014 09:09

Sorry about all the AF visits today, I think you're all being remarkably positive and I hope I'll be as resilient as you ladies if she turns up for me on Saturday.

I'm also wondering whether I've learned the lesson the hard way that early tests are a bad idea. What if I do one one tomorrow and it's BFN? Surely I'll just assume that it's wrong until AF turns up anyway?!

All symptoms have disappeared for me, except this morning I've noticed EWCM for the first time this cycle. No idea what that means. I was also a bit crabby with DH yesterday but that's probably more to do with pressure at work, limited sleep and him working until midnight - not so conducive to dtd but will make sure he's home by 7 when the time is right next month!

Good luck today for those on knicker watch, and for those itching to POAS, your support group is here! x Enjoy the sunny day x

pinpan · 12/06/2014 09:22

We could be really strict and say no POAS until at least 2 days overdue! Grin Not much help for those of us who are irregular though - I'm due sometime between 20th and 25th. Would have to have nerves of fruity to wait until 27th to test though!

Re drinking (Angels?), I've got a work thing on 20th, and (assuming AF hasn't arrived) I think I'm just going to take a drink and then nurse it all evening. There's definitely some people that would raise a knowing eyebrow at me if I refused any wine at all, and I can't be bothered making excuses. A few sips won't hurt, and the rest can go in the flowerbed. Wink

Birdtable · 12/06/2014 09:30

Cat yes that's what happened with me - I poas and got bfn but didn't believe them! So I was just still waiting not knowing at all!! Now af has turned up I feel less manic about it all and just happy to know the truth! I will use opk again this cycle as I found it comforting to know I was ovulating but I will keep dtd every other day and during the 2ww as well just incase! I'm not testing till I'm at day 30 next time if af doesn't show. Good luck everyone today, I hope we get a few more bfp!!

I like your thinking birdtable, and reckon I'll follow suit next month if I'm out of the game this weekend. I have all the kit ready to go!

teejayem · 12/06/2014 10:03

Morning peestickers! Day 30 here and avidly on knickerwatch...

newbie6 · 12/06/2014 10:12

Sorry to those whose AF has arrived, here's to next month! I'm due tomorrow so unless a miracle happens I'm praying positive thoughts for a July BFP! X

ClaireF2013 · 12/06/2014 12:02

Humph, I have had no tingling/tickly boobs today, or any other symptoms like I was getting before :( Still know I can't get an accurate test result for a while, although I am irregular, so that just makes it worse! Arggghh, never thought I would be so irrational and obsessive about this.

newbie6 · 12/06/2014 12:03

I also think next month I'm not going to test until 3 days before AF due at the earliest as getting too depressed!

zoobaby · 12/06/2014 12:22

Bloody (literally and figuratively) AF. Nah well, at least I know. Must have misjudged timing of ovulation. Or maybe it was that last day of missed SWI due to DP's work. DP will have strict instructions for next time. We'll see.

RedBunny · 12/06/2014 12:40

Ah so many AFs turning up today!! Annoying. Anyhow I am optimistic for this coming month! It's got to be time I got a baby. I've been waiting ages. This cycle will be the one!

zoobaby · 12/06/2014 14:06

Ok, so in prep for next cycle, can anyone shed some light on OPKs? Never looked before but what the heck hey? Had a quick browse and some need monitors (do you poas then insert in monitor for reading or something like that?) and others are self contained (kind of like a preg test).

Is this right ? Think I'd opt for the self contained ones. I'm guessing they might not be as accurate or limited?

Can anyone shed any light on the cost of these things? Sorry I know I can google this info but can't right now and thought it'd be good to get feedback on usability as well.

AngelsInWinter · 12/06/2014 14:10

I hope it is Redbunny! I'll be with you. Feel a bit more optimistic, too. Today is gorgeous and sunny, the World Cup is starting tonight, I've had a lovely day with DP and our 18 month old. Got more tests than I originally thought so I'm going to be silly and test tomorrow, Saturday and next week too (if no AF!).

Sorry AF turned up today, zoo. Next month you might get a March/April baby when the weather will hopefully be much nicer!

As for opks, I've never used them. Just dtd every day/every two days from the end of AF and that's worked.

blankfornames · 12/06/2014 17:07

Hi Zoobaby, I hope I can shed a little light on the opk situation! This month I bought cheapie opks in a pharmacy (possibly cheaper online). Once I got a positive on it, I used a clearblue digi opk, just to make sure. On top of that my sister gave me a Clearblue Fertility Monitor and it tells you exactly when to test. I've been using it for this cycle and it gave me 5 days of high fertility, then 2 days peak, one day high and then lows. They are expensive and I'll know in about 14 hours if worth it (FX) but I like the fact that you don't have to think about anything, only pee on a stick when it tells you. You pop the stick into the monitor and your fertility comes up 5 mins later.
Hope that helps!

RedBunny · 12/06/2014 17:21

I've been using the clearblue opks since started trying for no2. Just the plain ones with the lines, and they work as basically when the test line is the same colour or darker than the control line, that's your positive for LH surge. And you are meant to ovulate I believe between 12-48 hours after you get that. I buy them on eBay so they are cheaper. This month however there were some of the newest 'dual hormone detector' ones for almost the same price so I have bought them to try. They are meant to be useful because they tell you when your oestrogen is high which is meant to be 2-4 days before your LH surge. So basically you get more warning that you're going to ovulate soon I guess. Good for knowing which days to DTD every day.

RedBunny · 12/06/2014 17:26

Oh and last month I tried boots ovulation tests but still went and bought clearblue instead. I know the clearblue work as I can feel ovulation the day after I've gotten my positive, and they are easy to read as in for me the lines do get darker the closer I get to it. But the boots ones lines were just never so clear.
