Angels, did you plan DD2 to arrive that way, or was that why it was so scary?!

I am super hungry all the time, so I have to rule that one out. Can't say hand on heart that I have any other symptoms, except spots on my back (ick). But DD surpassed her personal best in high temperatures today with an ear infection so I haven't really been thinking about it too much. Sad

I'm still holding out for Friday NEXT week, but I am looking forward to this week's pee-party as a tee-totaller. Grin

newbie6 · 10/06/2014 11:18

Hi all

12dpo today and another BFN so think I'm def out :( Feeling cramps and bloated which prob means AF is en route the cow! Good luck to everyone else x

JaneyTea · 10/06/2014 11:49

Hello.

I hope no one minds me popping in here - this is my first post and my first month TTC. I thought I would be quite laid back about it all, but apparently not! My TTW is due to end this Saturday and this week has been full of symptom spotting and arguing with myself not to be so ridiculous! I guess I'm learning that I'm pretty impatient afterall.

Bought a test this morning; strangely just buying it made me feel less anxious. Now, let's see how many days I can wait before using it......

AngelsInWinter · 10/06/2014 11:53

We did plan a home birth, as the home birth with DD1 was so nice. But I rang the midwives too late Hmm And I was terrified something would be wrong with the baby!

Pinpan - hope your dd gets better soon. Poor thing :( love the tee- total thing!

Newbie - there's still time until AF starts. Don't lose hope! Xx

RedBunny · 10/06/2014 12:23

Hey all. Looks like I'm out now- coloured discharge when I went to the toilet which is a sign of AF. Now started to get some little cramps. So this cycle was only 25 days. Since my last miscarriage they all seem to be a different length.... So annoying!! Off to buy tampax and painkillers then!!

blankfornames · 10/06/2014 12:28

Welcome to the Mad House JaneyTea! We're all here to try to urge folk not to POAS too early. There are a few of us testing on Friday and more on Saturday so you've come to the right group!

Birdtable · 10/06/2014 12:35

So sorry Redbunny Sad
Pinpan I hope your dd feels better! And welcome janeytea! It's very hard not to use the tests if you have them!!
I bought 2 tests today and used them both! Blush at 9dpo they wouldn't work anyway. I still have a tiny bit of brown discharge (tmi sorry!) thus am but nothing else so I'm not really sure what's going on due af in Saturday.
Not buying tests now until sat to do 1st thing Sunday morning for Father's Day either way!
Looking forward to the poas party people on Friday!!

Er, how embarrassing. I went to look round a pre-school this morning for my DS to potentially go to next year. It was really lovely and I got all emotional about it and eyes kept welling up - must be careful not to arrange things like this around AF time in future.
Ah Angels, I would like a homebirth next time. Mainly because don't want to do that journey to hospital in megapain again. Was it lovely to just be in your own bed afterwards? I stayed awake all night as woman opposite snoring.
Welcome Janey. Don't worry, becoming completely impatient and irrational when TTC is completely 'normal' we are all like it on here.

teejayem · 10/06/2014 13:48

I watched OBEM last night too! Indulging myself while OH is away, he can't stand it! Probably not the thing to do while in this bloody wait, but ho-hum. Trying to convince myself that nothing will happen, and I will plan to get plastered at the weekend. Even bought a bottle of Sauv Blanc & some tampax to use to drown my sorrows & reverse psychology myself into getting a BFP. :-/ Is anyone else taking Folic acid? has it given any of you an upset tummy? I'm not sure what's happened to my digestion, but it's gone all awry!

RedBunny · 10/06/2014 13:50

Ladyflower, I'm going to the open day of where I'm quite certain I shall send my daughter soon and I have no doubt I will be like that wherever I am in my cycle! You know I've considered having a home birth next time too. I had a horrible hospital experience before. I had quite a straightforward birth too. Just don't know if I'll actually be brave enough.

RedBunny · 10/06/2014 13:53

You know I quit drinking and today I'm wishing I hadn't!! I shall have to buy myself lots of chocolate instead of wine I think. Anyhow so now I'm super keen to get to next cycle. So I can do the dreaded two week wait all over again! If there's a 25% of conceiving every month surely somehow that translates to you should be pregnant in four cycles? Right??

ladyflower23 · 10/06/2014 13:59

I like the reverse psychology there. I didn't buy any wine in my weekly shop. That was mistake!
I'm taking Pregnacare Conception which has folic acid in it. Doesn't seem to effect me in anyway though.

Karmanna13 · 10/06/2014 14:06

Hi all, sorry I've been absent for the last few days - mega busy at work, but I have been lurking! Will defo tune in on Friday for the POAS party, although I think Friday will be a bit too early for me as I will only be 9 DPO. Expecting AF on Wednesday 18th. Maybe I'll join the Father's Day POAS:ers... I don't think this is my month though, as I had ovulation pains on my left side which is where I am missing a tube, although I've heard the right tube can pick up the egg if you ovulate on the left side and vice versa, so not completely impossible! Fingers crossed for everyone!!

blankfornames · 10/06/2014 14:08

Oh Gosh.. DH just told me that his workmate has announced that she's pregnant and due two days before our little one was due if I hadn't mc. I got really angry with him for telling me that and then started to cry. Mood swings and being irrational...AF due in two days.
It is for that reason, that I'm really tempted to POAS and find out one way or the other. I'm finding the wait really difficult today Sad

ladyflower23 · 10/06/2014 14:08

Redbunny, good luck with the open day. I am dreading when he actually starts and I leave him there (even though I want him to go there!). He already goes to a childminder 3 days a week so not like I'm not used to being without him, but I know leaving him somewhere new will set me off big time.
I agree that your 4 cycles seems mathematically correct so not long to wait!

ladyflower23 · 10/06/2014 14:14

Oh blanks, I'm sorry that must have been really hard for you. Men can be a bit silly like that. I understand why you want to test early. The only thing is even if you are pg it might not show as positive yet (espec as you would not be using FMU) and then you will get even more down by getting a BFN. Maybe better to stay in the not knowing bubble for today, but of course it's up to you x

Birdtable · 10/06/2014 14:33

I agree with ladyflower - I have tested and got a bfn and it's awful as you don't believe it so are non the wiser! I'm waiting till Sunday!
I am feeling positive though as even if we don't get our bfp we now all have each other for support!
What's everyone doing this lovely day?

blankfornames · 10/06/2014 14:34

Thanks Lady. You're so right. He's gone back to work and I've had time to cool down. I shouldn't react that like but sometimes I feel like he has put the whole mc down as something that has happened in the past, whereas for us girlies, it's a lot harder!
I'd love to know, if the lads had to do the tww, how long they would have lasted before POAS! Wink
Thanks again!

ladyflower23 · 10/06/2014 14:44

I'm having fun doing housework now and then a trip to the park later. Feeling bit ill today so trying not to overwork myself too much to try and keep whatever is lurking at bay!
I guess because they don't have the baby in their body it is quicker for them to recover. I said to my DH last night that I wanted him to hide my Boots test from me until Friday evening and then he started going 'so you can do those tests early then? So we could do it now?!' So don't think they are that much more patient than us!

ladyflower23 · 10/06/2014 15:31

Oh no. Ewcm. Always get some just before af starts. I think it may be over for me early!

JaneyTea · 10/06/2014 15:45

Thank you for the lovely welcomes - it's a relief to know that I'm not the only one driving myself bonkers with this at the moment! I'm trying to keep myself busy at work, although this afternoon I have wanted to eat and eat and eat, which for me, is an indicator that AF is on the way. I think that would almost be a relief - the not knowing is infuritating. My chap's suggestion of "just don't think about it" is so much easier said than done- interesting that you were talking about whether lads would be more patient with the TWW. I suppose that as they can't symptom spot, etc, they are that wee bit more removed.

teejayem · 10/06/2014 16:19

blanks let's be strong! I am struggling with the wait as well today, I'm rapidly feeling AF is looming now too. And every single person on my tube this morning had a nice designer bump. Huff. Three apps are giving me different dates and my CM has totally buggered off.

Welcome Janey are you joining our pee-party on Friday? This is such an amazing outlet when I can't talk to OH and descend in my slightly neurotic self! x

Fruityb · 10/06/2014 16:33

Four days late now, not POAS yet. Told OH who seems to also be trying to be level headed about it yet. Might wait till the weekend, sorry!

The longest cycle I've had before is 27 days, since October and coming off the pill. I'm not on day 30 which makes me 4 days later than expected... My boobs are very sore, I'm knackered but no change there lol and the cramps I've been having appear to have tailed off.

It's killing me lol

teejayem · 10/06/2014 17:15

fruity you have nerves of Steel!!!!! I'd be weeing willy-nilly by now.....
