It's a BFN.

RedBunny · 09/06/2014 09:13

Looks like another month gone then.

RedBunny · 09/06/2014 09:19

Gosh I thought I was prepared for it but it seems so unfair. I've been wanting another baby now for like 18 months. So many of my friends have had their second. One is even pregnant with her third....

RedBunny · 09/06/2014 09:20

Sorry being depressing now! Good luck to everyone else!!!

Birdtable · 09/06/2014 09:21

So sorry Sad

Ah I'm really sorry Redbunny. Any chance that it is too early to detect anything?

pinpan · 09/06/2014 09:23

Sad Cake

RedBunny · 09/06/2014 09:25

Well every other time I've got a BFP 12dpo. And realistically, implantation should've happened by now if it was going to, right? Those first response tests are really sensitive. Just incase I drank too much water or something I will test again but I don't feel very optimistic now.

Aww Redbunny :(

The only time I've had bfps was at least 3 days after my missed period (but then, I didn't test early). Maybe leave it until at least 14dpo if you can, then the result will probably be about 99% won't it?

It really is disheartening seeing a BFN :(

newbie6 · 09/06/2014 09:55

Hi all,

Think I can rule myself out sadly, another BFN today with CB and FRER so not feeling overly optimistic! Am 11dpo.

Good luck to everyone else!

Hi red bunny,

Just seen your post, sorry it's not a BFP. I know what you mean, this will be no 2 for us too and I feel like my clock is ticking as I'm 40 next year and so wanted to get pregnant by now but whilst my last pregnancy happened first time, that's us on month 2 of trying now which I know is not long but keep thinking if it happened first time last time, why isn't it happening again, I'm so impatient!!

Hopefully next month will be our month!

X

Redbunny, it's not over til the red fat lady visits sings. You never know. Hope you've got something planned to keep you busy today.

ladyflower23 · 09/06/2014 10:52

I'm so thick, this thread had moved onto another page without me realising, and I kept checking and thinking where has everyone gone?! You are all on page 11!
I'm so sorry redbunny, I was hoping so much that it would be a BFP for you this morning. I'm not really sure how many days past implantation you get enough hcg to test, but if you took longer to implant this time, then that could be why the test is neg at the moment. As Zoobaby says, there is still hope till AF comes.
Sorry to you too newbie, but again no AF = hope x

zoobaby · 09/06/2014 10:55

Dr Internet says that a normal luteal phase is 12-14 days.

CatRen27 · 09/06/2014 11:20

You're keeping us all on a cliffhanger - what's the result redbunny! Fingers and toes crossed.

CatRen27 · 09/06/2014 11:21

Sorry I also didn't see the chain - Argh sorry it wasn't what you'd hoped.

zoobaby · 09/06/2014 11:26

[DS having an early sneaky snooze so I have spare time to internet rather than do housework]

Yes, so Dr Internet says that a normal Luteal Phase is 12-14 days long. But... honestly... who on this thread would count themselves as "normal" though? Smile

I can't speak for anyone else, but after having DS I can honestly say that EVERYTHING is different. Cycle timings, feelings, AF type and length, absolutely everything. First time round I faithfully charted and this involved visual inspections (and this is different too these days).

Then you have the ladies who have also had MCs. Surely that screws around with your body a fair bit.

So, is it any wonder a lot of us are working on educated guesses?

We shouldn't be hard on ourselves for getting our hopes up or for feeling disappointment.

I've decided that if I'm not PG then I'm about to fall down sick. Had awful headache and hot flushing last night and woke this morning to discover TWO cold sores starting (I admit I look a right mess).

ladyflower23 · 09/06/2014 11:29

Today is my first day of SYMPTOMS this cycle. They consist of soreish nipples, nausea and slight dizziness. These could all be onset of AF due Thurs or of course pregnancy. The fact that I am now feeling like this and it is only 3 days until I do/do not get AF, I am of course wanting desperately to POAS. Please can someone talk me out of it!!!!

zoobaby · 09/06/2014 12:13

Lady I think you should get the calculator out first. How many days past ov are you? If only 3 til AF due, then possibly only 11 DPO? Save yourself £8. Or 10p if you bought the internet cheapies.

ladyflower23 · 09/06/2014 12:20

I don't really know this month - it's been confusing on the EWCM front - best case scenario is 11 DPO and I know that I would be breaking the 12DPO rule of this thread, and rationally i should wait until at least Friday, but on the other hand I want to KNOW NOW! I will go and put washing away instead. Work days are so much easier in the 2ww, distracted and no bloody tests around!

teejayem · 09/06/2014 12:29

I'm in a right old mix, because I 'felt' like I was Ov'ing on 30th May, (had the pain and the ewcm) that makes me 11DPO, but according to my CB wee stick, it was Monday! (and I had a pain the other side and a bit of ewcm) Which makes me 7 dpo. My nips hurt and I've felt a bit queasy with an upset stomach. I am trying to summon the willpower to wait until at least Wednesday, but my App is saying I should expect AF by then, but I'd be amazed if I fell into a normal 28 dayer. Confused

ladyflower23 · 09/06/2014 13:08

teejayem, I feel you sister, sounds as though we are in the same boat. I had cramping and EWCM on the 29th, so thought I was oving, but then had another 2 days of EWCM then one day of not, then another 3 days of EWCM. I too now have the nips, queasiness, dodgy stomach (but wonder if that's down to nerves!). Really hard not to test when you potentially fall into the 'test 4 days early' zone and are getting feelings like you might be. Last week I was saying I wouldn't test till Sunday, now I am struggling to make it through today - said like a true addict!

blankfornames · 09/06/2014 13:17

I know, I also said that I would wait till Sunday but sugar that idea. AF is due on Thursday. If I can last until then, I'll be thrilled! I have a boots test a mere 2 meters from me at the moment. I'm also off work sick until Wednesday so that is putting extra temptation in my way!! So teejayem and ladyflower, let's stay strong together!! Just think of the darker second line if we leave it!! Positive thoughts!!

ladyflower23 · 09/06/2014 13:22

Snap Blanks, also due Thursday and also have a Boots test on the premises. Yes, let's try and hold out together. I really want to try and make it until Friday night at least!
