Is anyone any good at explaining blood test results?

If so, I have a stack of them here which I would really appreciate a view on.

A nurse here, what are the results, I will try and interpret them!

Thank you!

Background is that I've had dd (2.7) and then 3 consecutive miscarriages.

I've been seen at St Marys but they didn't find any cause, but whilst I was there I signed up for a study into parathyroid levels. That result came back as me having slightly elevated parathyroid levels.

So my GP ran another whole lot of tests:

My parathyroid levels have gone down from 7.6 to 4.4 - this is within the normal range, but something I googled said that this level shouldn't change at all and any fluctuation is a sign of a problem. I can't find anyone to talk to who's involved in the study to talk this through with.

My Vit D is through the floor (18nmol) and I have picked up tablets for that

Serum folate 5.8ug/l

Vit B12 is 186ng/l, below normal range, but the one thing they didn't test was a full blood count so they don't know if I'm aenemic as well

progesterone is 34nmol/l (taken on day 20ish)

Serum LH is 2.1 iu/l and serum FSH 3.2 iu/l are within normal range but only just

Serum Ferritin is 69 ug/l, TSH is 1.73mu/l, but also in the lower end of the range,

HbA1c level is 37

Serum calcium is 2.3mmol

I'm scanning these trying to find a reason for the mcs and trying to cling to some hope Sad

Hello. I can help with Tsh levels..but not sure on the rest!
Iv been on thyroxine for 4 years. My lstest levels were 1.01 my doc is happy with that, as when ttc they like your levels to be below 2. Mine were 4 88 & have been 27.50 before!! Hope this helps. Xx

If your vitamin D results are below 25, which they are, you need prescribed medicine to bring it up. Over the counter vitamins won't do anything.

Daisybell1 · 22/05/2014 21:51

Thank you shine, I have a prescription Smile

Thank you one more time too!
