poppet If there's no benefit to staying regarding mat leave I reckon you may as well start looking. A friend of mine was putting off moving jobs whilst ttc but it was taking a while, something came up and she went for it. Ended up getting her bfp the week she started in her new job- she thinks the new job took her mind of ttc and then it just happened Smile
Ducky glad I'm not the only one showing but don't how I'll be able to keep this a secret until 12 weeks!

Cupcake92 · 30/05/2014 20:01

Yay that's great news Kitkat!!! :D

Those of u on antidepressants, do u know if they affect ttc? And pregnancy at all? What are the risks?
My gp wants me to go on them as he believes I've got stress and anxiety. Going back to gp next week but I'm not sure I want them. Don't want it to affect ttc or anything :/

lillamyy1 · 30/05/2014 21:38

Evening all! Sooooo glad it's Friday, had a knackering week.

Hope AF stays away popple, ticktick, mac, tori, kitkat and crazy (phew - did I miss anyone out?!) Glad we've got a few more chances for BFPs this cycle - this week has been an AF nightmare!
Sounds like the perfect babymaking honeymoon, crazy! fx

Hope ginger works for you bugaboom and lulu - I have to say it made me feel worse when I was pg, but mint tea can help in ginger doesn't, or as well. Also, try water with fresh lemon in.

kitkat, great news about your job, I bet that's a weight off!
Cupcake good luck with the move!! It's quite lucky in a way that you're not pg yet because if you were tired and sicky it would make the move so much harder! When you've got all the stress of moving out of the way I expect it'll be a much better time to ttc, and hopefully happen quickly becaue you'll have less worries!

poppet, I'm in exactly the same boat with work! I got passed up for a promotion in feb by a really bitchy cow who's really rude to several other women at work (eg. calling some of us fat!) and then brown-noses the boss. So yeah, I really wanted to leave but knew that if I did I'd have to put off ttc for at least a year!

poppet85 · 30/05/2014 21:40

Right Iam at the inlaws red wine in hand !!prepared to be the fun auntie for the weekend !

poppet85 · 30/05/2014 21:44

Iam going to look for a new job really dont want ttc to take over everything .Its bit risky but could be stuck in the job for least another year ! Dont know if I could cope !!

lillamyy1 · 30/05/2014 21:46

Cupcake I think it depends what ad's they put you on. I'm on citalopram and have been told by a specialist that the risks to your baby are extremely low. They did say though that it's obviously better to not be taking anything when pg but that the stress/risk of depression returning as a result of coming off them had a higher risk.
If I were you, to be honest I'd wait until you've moved and got settled in your new place. My ad's helped me a lot but I was in a very, very bad place. I don't know if I'd recommend them unless you really can't cope because they can make you lethargic, unmotivated, withdrawn, bored with life and fat!! I'm cutting mine down now because although they helped me cope with my depression, I think they also took away part of my personality!

Cupcake92 · 31/05/2014 00:46

Thanks for the info lill, I'd deffo like to not be on them when ttc just feel father poo atm. Think I need a spa. A spa would really help!!

MrsPopple29 · 31/05/2014 06:27

So, AF stayed away all day yesterday and I dared to hope just a tiny tiny bit... Which made it all the worse this morning when I woke up with cramps and a bfn Sad Still no actual AF but it's definitely on its way! I much preferred last month when it arrived 3 days early and didn't mess with my head.

Argh.

Ducky23 · 31/05/2014 06:55

When's AF due and when are you testing Popple?

Bugaboom · 31/05/2014 07:12

Me too for the spa! Popple I got Bfn until 3 days after AF due and felt the whole time like it was coming. Wait another 2 days and test again

MrsPopple29 · 31/05/2014 08:42

AF was due yesterday. I tested this morning with an FR and they're usually pretty accurate, aren't they?

poppet85 · 31/05/2014 09:32

Popple same no af here but not due until tomorrow .No symptons of pg and few cramps so Iam fully expecting it tomorrow !!!

Cupcake92 · 31/05/2014 10:06

I do hope u get ur bfp's popple and poppet!
Ur not out till AF shows :)

I'm incredibly ill today :( woke up with red raw eyes, headache and dizziness ! To make it worse DS lost his dummy! He won't use the spare for some reason, he keeps gagging on it. So he won't nap and is now screaming. Wish me luck today everyone! Lol!

poppet85 · 31/05/2014 10:48

Thats a small part if me that doesnt mind if af shows tomorrow least I know Iam in a regular cycle !! Pma guys !!

Imustbecrazy26 · 31/05/2014 10:50

Thanks lil mind you I have no af symptoms and didn't check cm on honeymoon which I did last month so am thinking as it only 2nd month off the pill it may not be a 28 day cycle this month so me and DH are just going to keep dtd every other day just in case!

Popple and poppet fingers crossed af stays away!!!

Ducky23 · 31/05/2014 11:25

They are pretty accurate Popple but no set time limit for a BFP, some people only get faint positives two weeks after AF is due Smile there's still hope!

And I fully expected AF to arrive before I got my BFP

lillamyy1 · 31/05/2014 12:30

Stay away AF!!! No one wants you here!!!

Cupcake92 · 31/05/2014 15:01

Reckon if we keep telling AF to stay away we'll get lots of bfp's as AF will be too scared to show up :p Grin

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far!

After tomorrow I should be able to start dtd marathon again! Next month WILL be my month!

Ducky23 · 31/05/2014 15:33

Deffo cupcake! Smile Can't beleive how cruel your body has been!

lillamyy1 · 31/05/2014 18:14

Dtd marathon back on for me n DP as of last night! Next June will be everyone's month! Xx

Ducky23 · 31/05/2014 18:22

Fingers crossed lil Smile

Ticktick · 31/05/2014 18:48

Oh dear, confession time. I stupidly did a test this morning and got a bfn. Slap on the wrist for me as its clearly too soon! I'm blame having a ton of Internet cheapies in my cupboard. Just can't resist. Silly billy. Anyway after a brief (2 min) melt down rational me caught hold and saw sense. It's still about 3 days till AF. Don't think I will test again tomorrow now. Might take a leaf out of mac's book and go away next week without any tests and wait it out. Eek.

Ducky23 · 31/05/2014 19:38

It's still early tick Smile I didn't get my BFP until 15-16 dpo
