Re: men having no idea...my OH has only recently been clued in to the fact that I have bought IC OPKs (and that I have a big fat bag full) but he's still none the wiser about the equally big fat bag of IC HPTs .

He will probably never know about any of my early tests...even when I get my BFP I might just fib a little and tell him I only tested on the day AF was due (although if I find out early and can't keep the news to myself, I'm going to have some interesting explaining to do...)

Tbh I don't think men truly understand the need to become obsessive about TTC. It's definitely a woman thing. To need to be 'in control' or at least to give ourselves the impression that we are in control. Not a man thing. No need for OH to now...(that's my excuse anyway and I'm sticking to it!)

So after the joyful shagging success of earlier (assuming they didn't all fall out during Zumba) I slightly fucked it over dinner by getting a bit carried away with the convo and revealing how I record our shags in an app (Kindara)... This was met with a raised eyebrow and a sarcastic, "Well, that's sexy.". Oops!! The irony was that I raised it to tell him how using the app had made me MORE chilled out, as I'd been able to look back over the first two cycles TTC and work out that we hadn't shagged on the right days, so we shouldn't worry if it takes a while... Gah!!!!

Had always prided myself on not being a nob, and now it appears I've upgraded myself overnight into a really annoying neurotic one!! That really isn't sexy!! Ha....

Until you start TTC AND if it doesn't happen right away, it is inevitable that one will become a charting, shag crazed control freak, who obsesses over sticks and vits! I too thought that it would be stupid to worry too much and "that will never happen to me..." before officially TTC, Chandlers

Hmm, I have been temping orally and I do get fluctuating results (massive dip today on CD10 but I did sleep badly) so maybe I should vag it too! Not sure I can do that at 0630 while DH is still in bed though How to put him off!

I usually fall asleep with the thermometer in my mouth and wake up when it beeps. But I can imagine waking an hour later with it still inserted you know where because I might not hear the beep from under the duvet!

It has such a quiet beep I could hardly hear it and i was listening out for it, doubt dh could have heard it.

I also vag temp and get much more reliable readings (I think). If I clamp it between my thighs I can't hear the beep, I usually stay awake as I'm so excited to see if I've ov-d, but I've got a bbt thermometer that you can press and hold to bring up the last result if I miss it.

I think if DH noticed he probably wouldn't think it any more weird than orally temping every morning!
