It's a trail. Starts off then peaks the fades. Do t worry about it. Used to happen to me but it worked!

I got one day of a dark line followed by three more days of VERY dark lines! All were what I would consider positive. It does happen, it just means you have a long surge and/or high levels of Lh so the peak seems longer. Smile

When did you BD when it does this!? I've been BDing every day because Idk when my egg will be released/I ovulate lol I thought using OPKs would help predict it but I feel like it made it more complicated Hmm

It isn't anything to worry about. In essence OPKs measure the LH levels as they rise in your body. An OPK will show a line if the LH levels are over a certain level. LH peaks shortly before ovulation (triggering ovulation), and then falls.
So it is most likely you are seeing 4 days of lines on OPKs as levels of LH gradually rise, peak and fall in your body. The trick is to understand which of those days LH was actually at its highest (peaked) as ovulation would follow that within a set time frame.

In some people the levels of LH rise and fall quite gradually, so they will see gradually darkening lines over the space of a few days. In other people the rise and fall can be quite sudden (going from no line to a dark line overnight). Some people have a v short peak (when levels are at their highest) and for others it is longer. All of these are ok, but you need to recognise your own pattern and determine what that means for timing sex

You can only calculate when it is most likely you will ovulate... (And it is all approximate anyway)
The earliest you could have ovulated is 12 hours after LH peaked. LH could have reached its highest level immediately after your last negative OPK.
The latest you could have ovulated is approx 72 hours after your last positive OPK.

To time sex close to ovulation try to have sex regularly between the above days.

Ps - I am assuming from your post that the 4 OPKs all have equally dark lines

Yup I dtd every day, although my temps ( and ovulation pains) showed that I ovulated on the 3rd day of the positive opk!

I had three consecutive days with a positive OPK on my most recent cycle and got a BFP. Normally I only get a positive OPK for about half a day and have to test in the morning and evening so I don't miss it. I have no idea if this made any difference to conceiving or if it was just a coincidence. There was also a thread a while back about someone else who had a positive OPK several days running and ended up being pregnant with twins as two eggs had been released. Again, no idea if it was just a coincidence or not.

Busydays--when did you BD (baby dance if that's not a normal term for sex in this forum lol) when it was 3 days in a row? I'm now on day 5 of it being positive and I took an hpt test and it was negative...when did you test to get your BFP also?

Yes all are equally bright Shock

We only BD twice, once the day before the first positive OPK and then again on the third day of the positive OPK. I got a BFP about 12 days after that. Good luck!
