Anyone had any success in regulating (shortening) a long cycle?

Mine's 37-39 days, with very little bleeding. Use a moon up - I'd say less than a tbsp.

Taking: agnus castus, raspberry leaf and dong quai. Also supplementing with spirulina, maca and hemp protein.

Dr Google hasn't come up with any 'real' medicine hence the crazy supplement regime.

Thanks in advance

Soy isoflavones helped me. Supposed to be like 'natures Clomid', so if you take it on days 3-6 it may make you ovulate quicker, and hence shorter cycles. Tesco do (or at least used to do) the best ones which are good value.

I recommend you go and see a qualified British medical herbalist. They will take a full history and tailor the herbs so you get the cycle you are after.

Do you know if you are ovulating? With a very light bleed and a long cycle I would be concerned that possibly I wasn't ovulating at all (and therefore not triggering the building up the of uterine wall post-ovulation).

Having said that, I have always had irregular and often long cycles - longest ever was 47 I think and plenty in the 35+ category, shortest 27 (over many years of charting). In fact I am very fertile and it's just that my day of ovulation varies a lot. Actually what made me more regular was being in a stable relationship with lots of sex. So if you know that you are ovulating I wouldn't worry about it too much, though I appreciate it's annoying if you're ttc and have to wait longer between each attempt.
