What are the signs I should look for if TTC that I'm ovulating? And sorry to be gross, but what's with the whole CM thing? When is it meant to be the right time? Do you conceive when you ovulate - or does it take time for the egg to reach the right place? Sorry for barrage of questions. I did get an A in biology O Level once, honest....

If i remember correctly you ovulate 11-14 days after your period.
These few days per month are considered the best time to conceive.
You can buy an ovulating test kit made by clearblue and it costs about £20.
You hold it in a stream of urine like you do a pregnancy test.
If you're ovulating a line appears to let you know that the time is right.
GOOD LUCK!!!!

It's best to use the ov-test's due to everyone is different, as I found out, and was told by the lovely lady's on MN. I ovulated yesterday according to my ov-test which was my CD7 only one day after I finished A/F !

I also broght mine off ebay . I like uesing the CASSETTE which cost under £5 with post for 10 )

Best of luck!

What you need to initially consider is what your menstrual cycle is like.

You can have egg white cervical mucus and produce mucus and not ovulate. Ovulation is not an exact science and even women who ovulate normally can have the occasional anovulatory cycle. If your periods are regular in nature it is more likely you are ovulating on a regualr basis. Ovulation can occur earlier, later or not at all in ANY given cycle. Therefore it is not the case at all that you ovulate 11-14 days after your last period.

The surest way to know if you are ovulating or not is to have a blood test done.
