I'm sure no miscarriage is easy Jones thinking of you Thanks

It's very common so please don't think there's something wrong with you. Rest lots xx

buddhabee · 22/02/2014 12:27

don't know if i'm in or not af due on the 17th (26/27 cycle usually), took test on tues negative and took a super duper clear blue digi this morning and big fat NOT PREGNANT stared back at me.

been feeling ill, hot, weeing all the time and all that but no idea! going to go to the doctors next week i think if nothing has happened,

i swear i could throttle those teachers that scared the living shit out of you as a kid telling you if you ever have sex then you will have a baby immediately!

so confused - spent most of my life thinking coming off pill, shag, baby, bosh!

:/

mama31 · 22/02/2014 12:51

Hi ladies sorry to hear of so many bfns/spotting/af arrivals!

And so so sorry Jones, please rest and take care of yourself it's so difficult no matter what stage you are at. I hope you have good support around you x

Well I've nothing positive to add I'm afraid, spotting started last night at 5dpo! Gutted! I always get pre af spotting but earliest has been at 8 or 9dpo so it's just getting worse and earlier! Really hoped the vitex/reflexology would have helped but it's worse!

I have read that vitex can take up to 3 months to settle hormones and to stick with it as initially it can cause spotting, so I think I will keep taking it to see what happens but I'm just so gutted I don't know what to do for the best!!!

So disheartening really. But I guess I'm kind of used to the disappointment now. Hate that I'll now be spotting for about a week until full flow arrives! :(

EnglishGirlAbroad · 22/02/2014 13:09

Oh jones, in so sorry. I had an early miscarriage at 5+4 and although it was straight forward, very little cramping it has left me feeling very flat. I hope you have DH to give you lots of cuddles. Just take it easy. As mama said, it's very common and does not mean there's anything wrong with your body.

Mama, gutted for you that you're spotting already. Hopefully it is just the vitex. Hope it's just a random day of it and didn't continue.

MrsExtraOrdinary · 22/02/2014 13:21

Jones I'm so very sorry! Thanks I've been in your shoes, please don't blame yourself. It doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you at all. Give yourself time. It's terribly sad when it's so much wanted.

Pinkfairy88 · 22/02/2014 14:02

I am out, af arrived in full flow this morning with spotting for last day or so. Not exactly surprised as was our first month ttc so I'm ok with the outcome. Onwards and upwards!

Congrats to the bfps and sorry to those who af got. Good luck for March ladies :-)

CursiveLetters · 22/02/2014 16:07

Jones we're here supporting you, I had the same experience w my first pregnancy back in May. It really is very common, though of course that doesn't help the sadness when you're going through it. Huge hugs.

onelifeonechance · 22/02/2014 16:37

So sorry to hear your news Jones, take care Thanks

I'm out, af has arrived, onto cycle 10, can't believe it's double figure territory. Hoping onto March bus, good luck to all those left to test and I hope I don't see you there!!

KittyVonCatsington · 22/02/2014 19:45

JonesSchool-my heart really feels for you today. I am so so sorry, how traumatic. I hope you have plenty of support in RL and we'll certainly be here for you when you need us Thanks

Well, this is a whole new load of crazy for me. This morning, after having Not Pregnant staring back at me, (buddlebee, it's horrid isn't it?) I broke open the Digi with a steak knife. There was a faint line next to the control line. Still can't stop worrying though so will test again towards the end of next week. Keep me company, ladies!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 22/02/2014 19:47

Is anyone left on this February bus?! It feels rather quiet! Is anyone still seating on a seat up the back perhaps? Grin

The spotting update is that today there has been no spotting at all! So just a bit yesterday afternoon and eve. In fact today has been nothing absolutely nothing. So if I don't wake up in a flood I don't think I can hold out, im going in hunt of a frer! Whatever that is!! Wink

barmybunting · 22/02/2014 19:57

Jones I'm so sorry to hear your update. Look after yourself and take your time to relax if you can. No words can console with a loss, but know we are all thinking of you.

barmybunting · 22/02/2014 19:59

Kitty, how many dpo are you today? Digis often take a few days longer to show up, so that line is a good sign!

MrsExtraordinary fingers crossed for tomorrow!

toots123 · 22/02/2014 19:59

Awful news Jones. But like the others have said, dont blame yourself. Nothing you could have done.

Im still lurking Mrs. Glad your spotting didn't come to anything yet.
im still in limbo but going to test tomorrow. everything crossed x

MrsExtraOrdinary · 22/02/2014 20:04

The other 2 tests were clearblue. If that's makes any difference. And I did think I oved late. I actually don't mind if af turns up but the limbo is driving me a bit potty! I mentioned to dh I'd be 5 days late tomorrow and he said oh no not another deadline missed. He thought I was talking about work! Bless him we were talking about work but even still Grin You'd think at 40 he'd have a little more sense Wink he said, no you can't be, I saw you with a tampon yesterday!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 22/02/2014 20:08

Thanks barmy, fingers crossed for you too toots!

KittyVonCatsington · 22/02/2014 20:14

12dpo today, barmy. Will test next Wednesday at the earliest; if spotting doesn't start to appear before then. I need to stop Googling. Too many horror stories.

I'm still on the February bus too MrsExtraordinary but only just (I'm picturing it as a Routemaster type with me clinging to the pole in the doorway and hanging precariously off the back). I have every symptom of AF apart from the obvious one.

So sorry to hear the sad news Jones. I haven't posted much on the thread but have been reading from the start and following everyone's news. Wishing you well.

Good luck wishes to Kitty & Rhibee for stronger lines soon to put your minds at rest.

impatienceisavirtue · 22/02/2014 22:41

Back on the bus for March.

Hpt was very faint this morning.

Started losing brown blood this morning, it's now red.

I want to go back to bed and not wake up until it's over.

KittyVonCatsington · 23/02/2014 08:57

Lots of virtual hugs, impatience. Have a good cry and let DH look after you today. Having a little cry on your behalf just now-Sad

OP posts:
EnglishGirlAbroad · 23/02/2014 09:26

Sorry to read that impatience. Look after yourself. It awful its know. Lots of cuddles, chocolate and cake for you today.

missmrsmummy · 23/02/2014 09:26

So sorry impatience Thanks

kitty how are you? Any more spotting? Really hope not.

Ladies, can you advise re: maternity pay? I'm trying to work out how long I'd have to work at this place I until I'd be entitled to it. It says to be eligible, you must have completed at least 26 weeks of continuous service by the Qualifying Week (ie. the 15th week before the expected week of confinement (EWC). Does that mean you could actually get pregnant pretty much as soon as you started there?

MrsExtraOrdinary · 23/02/2014 09:36

Impatience I'm so very sorry! I completely understand how hard this is. I wish I'd been a mner when I was going through it. There's so much support here. Take care Thanks

MrsExtraOrdinary · 23/02/2014 09:43

Hi missmrs I'm probably not too much help as I only ever qualified for maternity allowance many moons ago, as I was self employed. But yes it's basically 6 months work before the 15th week of pg. it's worked out on the due date irrespective of the actual delivery date. Smp is only 90% for the first 6 wks and then the same as MA highest rate anyway.

Last time I couldn't take any maternity leave at all. We run our own businesses and there simply wasn't enough money for me to take time off or stop running the company. So at 6 days old I took ds to work with me.

Whatever time you get do enjoy it. It's so special. Looking back I really missed out. Think it made me quite low.

missmrsmummy · 23/02/2014 09:51

Thanks Mrs

Just weighing up my options! Still off sick.

Gosh, that must have been hard!
