Just wondering how long it took for your af to return. I am on week 6 after having nexplanon implant removed but other than withdrawal bleed, I've had nothing :(

I waited 6 months before even getting a withdrawal bleed. Since then my cycles have been 2-3 months. I've been told by every doctor that it can take a while for cycles to return to normal after the implant so try not to worry. As frustrating as it may be.
When was your withdrawal bleed?

Thanks thora Smile

I got my withdrawal bleed about 3 days after removal and it lasted about 3 days.

Its good to know it can take some time. I guess I need to relax and forget about it - although as I am sure you know its tricky! Thanks

I had a withdrawal bleed a few days after in Jan 2010 and didn't have another AF till March 2010. But I got a BFP in early May 2010.

Yep almost impossible. I drove myself pretty crazy in those first 6 months and then the last few weeks of each cycle after. In the end I bought some cheap HPT strips off ebay and tested once a week just to stop me thinking I might be pregnant for a little while.

Have you taken a pregnancy test?

Fuzzyduck21 · 28/01/2014 19:35

I have taken a preg test a few days ago but was negative. I am charting temps out of interest really and have a fairly low temp so unlikely to be pregnant I think (totally new to all this so could be entirely wrong!)

I haven't bothered with opks at the moment as I thought they would only be useful once i am back on track...

I don't know much about temping. I have started using OVtests (cheap ones) but I don't time DTD by it. I just like to feel like I'm doing something.
I think it's probably better to assume you're not pregnant at the moment - a little less disappointment that way. You might not have ovulated yet so keep DTD, keep noting any symptoms you might have (but don't read into them too much), and take a HPT now and then
I hope yours turns out to be one of those 'off the implant and pregnant within a couple of months' scenarios Smile
