Hello. I had a mmc in Sept at 10 weeks. We've been ttc ever since with no luck.

Since the mc I've had sore boobs every month after ovulation. The pain is to the sides and underneath (almost where the underwire is).

What I really wanted to know is if anyone else gets this and whether it's a sign of a hormonal imbalance?

Thank you!

Any news?

I'm really interested in this conversation as my boobs get so sore immediately after ovulation. It actually gets a little bit better as af gears up. I've read that its linked to progesterone but i don't know how and i don't know if that's a good thing. My luteal phase is quite short too so maybe that has an impact. Arrrghh this ttc lark is hard work. Someone give me the great news of their bfp to cheer me up!

I can tell you that sore boobs are utterly random.

When I fell pregnant with DD my boobs were sore a few days before OV and then throughout the first trimester.

This pregnancy I've only had sore boobs since about 10 weeks. Nothing at all pre or post OV prior to my BFP.

I'm not sure you can read too much into it.

But very good luck! :-)

As far as I can work out, it can be a sign of a hormone imbalance. One Chinese doc told me it was a sign of oestrogen dominance and instructed me to rub in natural progesterone cream starting several days before ovulation, to try to balance the hormones. It worked wonders. The pain lessened and boob pain only started several days before period as opposed to just after ovulation. I had only started getting problems with boob pain after a miscarriage which came right at the early days of TTC. But I am talking really bad boob pain. I couldn't run. Interestingly when I was doing IuI and Ivf, the boob pain would get really bad during stimulation and the doctors told me it was the oestrogen levels. But confusingly it is also a sign of progesterone as boob pain is a common sign of pregnancy. But I have never had agonising boob pain during my pregnancies.
Personally for me I don't think boob pain is a good sign especially when it comes straight after ovulation and since my last ivf, I have been getting pain before ovulation now and so am back on the progesterone cream to help balance everything out again. Bloody annoying as I never had any of these troubles before TTC .
But clearly mAny people still get pregnant even if they do get pain so this isn't why I suddenly had problems TTC after my first miscarriage. (Sorry for the long ramble. This subject fascinates me...sadly!!)

DevonLoch, no apologies! Fascinates me too.
I used to get randomly sore boobs 10-3 days before period but the last few months theyve been getting more painful from the day of ovulation. Not sure exactly whats kicked off the change though.
been ttc for 24 months, so no change there =[
had prog levels tested recently and apparently all fine there.
Hoping that maybe its my body experimenting with hormones to gear myself up for change but not holding my breath on that one Lol.
However, i have ALSO heard it can commonly be a sign of Oestrogen dominance. Not sure where to go from here ttc wise though, beg for more investigations/blood tests or continue to see if nature takes its course.
Anybody else have strange changes a few months before conception??

Hi all,

Been posting on here a lot recently! Apologies! I’ve got really tender boobs and have done immediately (what I think is) following ovulation. I’m scared because last time I got my period as normal and I’m about three DPO but we DTD during my fertile window so surely it’s early too early to be a pregnancy symptom? I had it before and came on so now feel a bit down :(

I literally had sore boobs straight after I thought I ovulated which was very unusual for me as I only ever get sore boobs a few days before my AF (not every cycle though) and the pain never went away. Instead the pain got worse and the pain continued until I had my CP. If something is unusual then chances are you're pregnant.

Hello
Is it possible to have sex on the you ovulated and not get pregnant?
