So to start the engine MrsF2510 ttc #1 cycle 2 BFP due 1st Feb x

Moffit it's very true...no one knows what the future holds really....so I definately do not put life on hold for ttc!!! There are a few changes I've made but I'm still living life to the full and having lots of fun ;)

pebble82 · 17/01/2014 20:31

A good friend of mine who knows I'm ttc put things in perspective for me by pointing out that so many women fall pg without even trying. 90% of women who ARE ttc will do within 12 cycles. The odds are pretty high so just keep at it and in the meantime enjoy sleep filled nights and make the most of child free evenings when you can. Ad hoc cinema trips and weekend breaks will soon be a thing of the past. Enjoy life now and be excited for the future without stressing.

Easier said than done though I know.

mama31 · 17/01/2014 20:36

Pebble definately sounds good to me!!! It is very true...and I do love a long lie in so best make the most of those ;)

toots123 · 18/01/2014 08:56

Hope everyone is well today! :)

Thats af completely finished so just waiting on ov happening. Decided not to use opk's or temp so just going to dtd every few days. Will wait on cramps and cm and do it more around that time...

feeling positive!

I had a dream last night that we found out we were pg and we were so happy. Gutted when I woke up but made me realise how exciting ttc is and I can't wait for our bfp! :)

Jessica78 · 18/01/2014 09:31

Ok - well I'm definitely getting on this bus as my January chances are gone!

Jessica78 ttc#1 cycle 8 BFP due 11th Jan

I just bought some Magnesium supplements yesterday after reading about them - going to give that a try this month alongside my other cocktail of vitamins! Xxx

DoctorDonnaNoble · 18/01/2014 09:31

Hey, AF came today Hmm
Stats
DoctorDonnaNoble TTC#1 Cycle 2 Post MMC, BFP due 14th

I'm really done I've said AF has come today but the way it's gone I'm wondering if it was a chemical Hmm
Of course, it could just be that the MC has changed how my cycle works but there we go.
A BFP on the 14th would change my I hate Valentine's Day attitude though!

Jessica78 · 18/01/2014 09:32

Sorry BFP due 11th Feb!!! Wishful thinking!

PolytheneGirl · 18/01/2014 15:35

Hi ladies. Hope you're all doing ok. Sorry to DoctorDonna and Jessica, that damn witch!

Can anyone answer me a quick ov question? I haven't gone down the route of opks (yet) as I know I'll get obsessive! But does anyone know if you has to have ovulated to get your AF? I have a very regular 28d cycle and am hoping this means I ovulate bang on mid cycle. I think I'm going to end up buying opks to put my mind at ease!

Only on cd2 and I'm already counting down the days!!

mum2kiss · 18/01/2014 15:52

Good question poly I was wondering about this last nightaas ive had no cm this cycle and im supposed to ov today...tmi but dtd last night because a bit of an issue due to my lack of cm!

mum2kiss · 18/01/2014 15:56

Became*

PolytheneGirl · 18/01/2014 16:43

I'm the same. Didn't noticed any ewcm last cycle, which is what made me wonder. I've started taking cough medicine in the hope of improving that situation. Fx it works this month. It did make for quite an awkward discussion with my DH about why I was taking it, to which he replied "oh, so it's a bit like putting fairy liquid on a crocodile mile!?" Conception for dummies in this house lol!

pebble82 · 18/01/2014 17:01

Same here. Normally obvious ewcm but nothing so far. OPKs also neg so far. On cd16 and think I normally OV cd17 so would have expected a positive today. Not sure I should carry on with these tests, it turns me into a complete obsessive nutter!

I have googled it and lots of people have had BFPs without positive opks or any ewcm so we shouldn't worry too much.

mama31 · 18/01/2014 17:17

Day one of koala plan complete ;) oh my that Manuka Honey cold off a spoon is hard to swallow....so thick in texture.....barf....needs must though!!!

DoctorDonna sorry af came! Same to you Jessica! Good luck for Feb :)

PolytheneGirl · 18/01/2014 17:29

Ok so I googled the no ov-AF thing. Apparently you can get AF without Ov but it is likely if this happened that you would be late. Fx this means I have been ov-ing. I really don't want to go down the opk route just yet. Good luck pebble. Hope you get a positive opk soon x

skybluegirl33 · 18/01/2014 18:06

Hi everyone, please can I join you all for February? Lots of familiar names I can see so good luck to all the lovely, supportive, funny ladies on here.

My stats are ttc#1 cycle 7 BFP due 7th Feb.

1974rach · 18/01/2014 19:37

budge up fellow ttc'ers.

AF booted my off the jan bus (bloody old witch) so here I am.

ttc #1, cycle #2, BFP due 06/02/14.

SnowBells · 19/01/2014 00:05

Found the thread!!! I'm hopping onto the bus. Is there still a seat or do I have to stand?

Have been taking the Zita West Vitafem pills, DHA, etc. for months and using CB Fertility Monitor. However, I also have PCOS, so need a lot of luck.

MrsF2510 · 19/01/2014 08:24

Welcome skyblue, 1974rach and snowbells and all other newbies. I am about to go into the 2ww so need plenty of people to keep me sane!

OP posts:
toots123 · 19/01/2014 08:28

Did you use opk's mrsf? Im avoiding them this month.
Its nearly time for us to go crazy with dtd haha :)

MrsF2510 · 19/01/2014 08:53

Nope toots, no OPKs for me. I know that I am trying to control everything too much as it is so I don't think adding OPKs to the mix will help. Plus DH will get cross with me - particularly as a couple of times he has said no to DTD and I have come out with 'but this is our best chance!!' If he finds out I was using them and then demanding sex, it really wouldn't help! I am relatively regular (going on the 2 periods I've had since coming off the pill!) and was 11 years ago and I do get ovulation pain (cd 13-15) but I am following SMEP so hopefully shouldn't be missing the window unless I OV at cd24 etc. Loads of luck to you for you DTD marathon toots! I've just finished mine and DH is knackered - he almost couldn't finish yest (sorry if tmi) after 6 times in a week and a half - gone are the days where he could 3 times a day! At least he can have a couple of weeks off if he wants.

OP posts:
toots123 · 19/01/2014 09:01

Haha! Well it sounds like your doing all you can!
men are funny, up for it until they get knackered!
Im loving all this dtd :)

Was at a family thing last night and got asked when we are having kids. Felt like saying we are trying for god sake!!!!

MrsF2510 · 19/01/2014 09:26

Am doing my best! Managed to on cd 5,8,11,12,15 and 17 so am now on cd18 and an officially now in my 2ww which was horrible last month (probably as I had a lot of time off over Christmas and so had a lot of thinking time!)

Gosh I know, I got grilled by my nan on Thursday (my sister had a baby a few weeks ago so it's a hot topic!) about having children. Would still rather they not know though rather than do know as that puts more pressure on us when people ask x

OP posts:
mum2kiss · 19/01/2014 09:32

So I may not have ov'd and that could cause af to be late (hence leading me to believe that I'm preggers?!), thats just evil!

Well we've been dtd every day so nothing more we can do now but wait!

toots123 · 19/01/2014 10:18

Yup its annoying! I dont want anyone knowing we are ttc either so they will all just have to wait! My mum is dying to be a granny. Suppose its nice that people will be happy for us.
just need it to happen now but trying not to be impatient since this is only cycle 2!

pebble82 · 19/01/2014 10:39

Hi newbies. Welcome to the love bus. I know it'll be a lucky one :-)

I got drunk over Christmas and blurted out that we are ttc to my best friends. I don't recommend doing that! They've been very good and not asked too many questions though.

DP was already up and about when I woke up this morning. It's CD17 for us so wanted to grab him and DTD before getting dressed but no luck. We dtd yesterday though so should be ok. Might try later for a bit of afternoon nookie.
