English - it came on CD28. I was CD31 last month but I'd expected it to be earlier as I had ov cramps earlier. Like normal flow and very crampy for a day.

I'm just being daft, I guess, but I've never had a period last less than 4 days before.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 30/01/2014 14:24

Have you recently come off b/c Hazel?? Sometimes that can play havoc with your cycles. You might just have to accept this as AF. Do you know when you ov'd?

seasavage · 30/01/2014 14:42

I just bought lovely shoes for the hell of it romantic valentines dinner with DH. Totally impractical for pregnancy. (but y'know if i do get BFN at the weekend they'll definitely be necessary around next fertile window, right ;-) ). Feel a LOT less anxious now.

Hazelbrowneyes · 30/01/2014 14:42

Yup, took my last pill in November so am pretty sure this is AF, it's just weird it being so short. Not that I'm complaining Grin

I'm 99% sure I ov'd on 14th - not using opks but going by the cramps.

? Sorry not sure how my phone did that!
Best wishes to fellow poas this weekend. I shall probably be busy. Crossing fingers.

PolytheneGirl · 30/01/2014 15:58

I want to know you're ideas or any you have heard of for breaking the news to DH! It might cheer me up and give me something else to think a about!

broodysnoopstie · 30/01/2014 16:11

I've settled on an idea but it's very specific to me and my dp so don't want to give myself away. . but it's basically along the lines of a present which is a printed baby grow saying my daddy loves me more than... blank (!) and wrapped inside it a cb digi! x

EnglishGirlAbroad · 30/01/2014 16:42

Eurgh low down stitch type pain arrived about half hour ago...what could it be? I'm 6dpo. Prob to early for implantation.Hmm

MrBsMrsB · 30/01/2014 17:01

I dreamt up the perfect way of giving DH the good news Smile

So... for Valentines day - I was planning on making my own Love coupons and rolling each one and tying with a red ribbon. I was then going to put all the coupons into a small jar (think message in a bottle - only this would be coupons in a jar Grin)

FX I get my BFP this month, I'll make an additional coupon with a different colour ribbon and inform him that he can redeem that coupon tonight. That coupon will be a BFP message/picture of some sort.

Having had the idea rolling around in my head all day - I think I'll be uber gutted if I don't get to use it and he only gets the standard coupons.

This video had me in tears! Sooo funny!!
KittyVonCatsington · 30/01/2014 19:02

Thanks for the updates, EnglishGirlAbroad - loving the bold usernames; must have taken you ages!

Well, it's Chinese New Year everyone! If we get lucky and have our babies this year, they will be born in the year of the Horse. I find it preferable to Snake for some reason!

mum2kiss · 30/01/2014 19:35

I just did another ic (couldn't wait until morning!) And got a faint positive...im not sure what to think! I feel very much like af is on her way!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 30/01/2014 19:51

Hi ladies ,

I was here a few days ago but stupidly didn't give my stats. Now, do you count dpo as day 1 being the day of ovulation? If so I'm ttc#1, cycle (deep breath) 15, possibly 8 dpo.

Going to a wedding tomorrow so not sure what to do on the booze front? Abstain or enjoy? Opinions please! X

sherbertlemon17 · 30/01/2014 20:10

Mum that's soooo exciting!! I really hope this is it for you!!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 30/01/2014 20:14

Hi mum, that sounds very,(coughs) positive indeed! A line is a line, faint or not.

mama31 · 30/01/2014 20:16

Gingerbread enjoy!!! Life is short and can't be put on hold for ttc! Plenty time to be good once you get your bfp!

Mum congrats! Great news! Do you have a pic?

I'm just back from yoga, and feeling great after it! Has worked wonders!

PetiteChouette · 30/01/2014 20:34

Hi everyone. On my phone and I can't read back very easily. Hope everyone is doing okay.

For me I'm on 7 DPO. I got weird strange symptoms in the few days past OV. But now nothing. I wonder if I might get a CP. I sure I got the egg this time. But something isn't right. All the peeing is stopping and my nips were raised and coloured but has gone to like before OV and normal. I'm good for a bfn this month. We only managed to dtd once on the morning of OV. But if I'm honest I'm wondering if getting pg is good for me at the moment. Career stuff and personal stuff are giving me doubts. Plus I'm a sickly thing with problems from getting sick with flu. It delayed my OV by a couple of days. And I'm happy sitting and waiting at the moment. Sounds crazy, but I like the whole TTC malarkey at the moment. From a financial perspective I've worked out I'll benefit from getting pg in August this year. So if it happens later rather than sooner all the better. Practice makes perfect is all I can say.

gennibugs · 30/01/2014 20:38

Evening all!

mum that's so exciting! Fingers crossed.

mama glad yoga has helped.

I've just had the weirdest spotting type thing. I won't go into details but i think it must mean AF is on her way early this month.

gennibugs · 30/01/2014 20:39

Oh and ginger I'd enjoy myself. Everything in moderation I think and you can't put your life on hold -have to still enjoy yourself! GrinGrin

katecupoftea · 30/01/2014 20:57

I teach year 4 so if you need any help let me know barmybunting

EnglishGirlAbroad · 30/01/2014 21:25

Ginger - def have a drink!!Wine

Mama- glad yoga has helped you chill. I love it, just don't go often enough!

pebble82 · 30/01/2014 21:46

Congrats mum2kiss - amazing news. A line is a line!

I'm now 8/9dpo and trying not to POAS. I work in the baby industry and there's an event on this weekend so not sure I can get through it if I saw a BFN and still had to be all smiles to thousands of pregnant women. Living in denial is much better!

Sunday will be 11/12dpo for me - been looking on this website:
www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=11

Says of all the women who were pregnant and testing at 11dpo, 78.4% showed up as BFP - the other 21.6% were false negatives. I can cope with those odds better.
