For those who have jumped off the January bus. May need assistance for the wonderfully organised ladies who are so brilliant at keeping the stats up to date!

So to start the engine MrsF2510 ttc #1 cycle 2 BFP due 1st Feb x

hat thanks for quick reply. I bought a tube, just not used it yet, waiting for evil AF to finish then will have to experiment!

funkymonk · 27/01/2014 22:49

atyourage I have used preseed and conceive plus. I have conceived twice while using conceive plus and have never had any problem using either of them. its a little cold and slippery but of you put it in 10 minutes or so before then it has chance to warm up.

itschristmas I feel for you. I am cycle 14 now with mc cycle 8 and mmc cycle 12. Hang in there. To be honest these threads don't do you much good if you're feeling down as most people seem to get their bfp cycle 1 or cycle 2. I've been on and off them for ages depending on my state of mind!

Would someone mind adding me as on my phone. Just finished first cycle of af after mc.

Funkymonk TTC #1. Cycle 14.(cycle 8 mc cycle 12 mmc) bfp due 18th Feb (though that's not too exciting as am convinced any bfp will now end in mc!)

BingoBango85 · 28/01/2014 06:53

Ticket please! January no luck-February will be our month! ?? TTC#1 cycle 4 AF god knows when Shock

barmybunting · 28/01/2014 08:23

Those of you who already have DC - can you help please? I have a baby shower on Saturday for a close friend who is having her first DC, a boy. In hunting around for gifts, I am beginning to think that a gift voucher for mothercare/tesco/amazon would be the best plan as it lets them get what they need rather than what I think they need. Is that a terrible idea or would you have been able to make use of it before/once baby came along?

They live in a small flat so have limited space, the last thing I want to do is add to more stuff they don't need. I'm currently sewing some baby stuff (towel, blanket etc) for him when he arrives that I will add his name etc to for after he arrives as well.

Hazelbrowneyes · 28/01/2014 08:36

Jumping on the bus! AF arrived today. I'm a bit disappointed to be honest, especially as I'd pretty much convinced myself that all the weird symptoms meant I was pregnant. Hey ho.

On the upside, this is cycle 2 since coming off the pill and cycle lengths have been 31 days and now 28 days.

So, I'm here on the Feb bus.

Stats:

Hazelbrowneyes TTC #1 Cycle 2 BFP due 25th Feb

mama31 · 28/01/2014 08:45

Barmy I think a voucher would be appreciated by your friend as it is so nice to choose what you need!! I'm sure she would be very grateful! and lovely your sewing blankets etc

Well 7dpo here....snore.....

Wineandchoccy · 28/01/2014 08:47

barmy I went to a baby shower and one of the guests bought the mum + Dad a basket with DVD's, books, magazines, coffee, tea bags, posh biscuits etc she was saying the other day it was the best present she got!

I think a voucher is a good idea though because they can always use it for nappies or an outfit.

pebble82 · 28/01/2014 08:47

I'm 6/7 dpo and had a slight temp drop this morning. FX it's implantation. I promised myself I wouldn't symptom spot but here I go again!

mama31 · 28/01/2014 08:47

Sorry hazel! Coming off the pill can make your body do crazy things! Hope cycle 2 is lucky for you!!!!

Owlie84 · 28/01/2014 08:58

::sob:: Another good friend has just announced they're pg. :( DH is pretty upset too, which i'm a bit surpised about, but in a good way. I'm really happy for them, but i think that's 100% track record for friends getting married and pg within a year, except DH and I! Sorry for the morning moan, just a bit blue.

Morning, by the way!!! Brew

EnglishGirlAbroad · 28/01/2014 09:19

It sucks doesn't it Owlie. I've had numerous friends all announce they're pg at in the last few weeks. My DH thinks I'm being a bitch when I moan.
I think it's perfectly understandable to feel a bit down about it.
How long have you been TTC?

Owlie84 · 28/01/2014 09:28

Since May last year English, but we've been 'not trying but if it happens it happens' for years! I'm trying to introduce the idea of going to the doctors in a few months if still nothing. He needs to long time to mull things over!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 28/01/2014 09:37

Why don't you go and have a chat with the doctor on your own first and then bring DH along further down the line.
It's so hard. But stay positive. And if you need to vent or moan, we're here when ever you need it. We all have out down days. Smile

sazzlehopes · 28/01/2014 09:51

Itschristmas - my boy is just over 3 too, and I understand the need for a sibling, it is hard when most around him seem too have one already.

Funky - i feel for you. Good luck this cycle. I came off the bus a bit too as although happy for people it was hard seeing lots of people just join a bus and fall preggo 1st cycle when you have been through so much. For a while i lurked on the BESH thread as they seemed to have a right laugh, although I never joined because I didn't feel I could as I had a dc already - it's more for people ttc over a year for their first child with troubles like mc, ivf things. They seem like an amazing supportive bunch though and clearly know a lot about infertility. Might be worth popping your head in there to get a different kind of support from people that really know how you feel? They swear a lot - but I quite like that Wink
Let me know if you need me to post a link...

English no i doubt i'll get an early scan, although it's taken ages to conceive I had no trouble the first pg and I've never had a mc, so I'm sure I'll be classed as normal....as long as I don't experience any pain or bleeding.

pebble82 · 28/01/2014 09:56

ah Owlie, feel free to moan. We all feel the same. I think when I get BFP I'll make sure I'm sensitive to other women around me as you just never know.

ZippyBoo · 28/01/2014 10:01

Hello Everyone,
I'd like to join the bus please.

I'm TTC#1, Cycle#2, BFP due on 16 Feb.
Good Luck everyone!

mama31 · 28/01/2014 10:16

I have loads of IC tests and usually would have stupidly tested by 7dpo....but I just got up and got rid of fmu immediately to avoid poas....and it actually felt very liberating haha!!! I must keep this good work up!!!

Worst thing is I keep buying and peeing on ic's even though they always give me a faint line (more of a grey evap yes but always within the ten mins!!!) so I think if I did get a real line I'd prob think it was an evap! Haha!!! Suppose I should just wait it out so that any line I might get if preggers would be clear and pink!!!!!

Prob will start spotting by Friday or before anyway so should just hold off as I'll know by then anyway!!! Argghhhh 2ww is rubbish!!!

ItsChristmaass · 28/01/2014 10:20

Funkymonk sorry you've had a rough time. It is difficult on here sometimes, I did stay away from about October til now. I do love the support on here though. The things we talk about on here we could never discuss with dh/p lol.
Fx for us both that this journey will come to a end soon and we get our bfp - and to all of the old timers and everybody else Grin

broodysnoopstie · 28/01/2014 11:14

Mama If it makes you feel any better I am 8dpo and I don't think we even hit our window due to flying home from another country and yet I am STILL finding 'symptoms' I felt a twinge on my right hand side in the shower this morning and have been feeling crampy and tuggy there..plus crazy heartburn. I got excited and promised myself I wouldn't test until Sunday (AF isn't due until the 6th) then double checked my dates, and actually said out loud to myself. You didn't have sex at the right time, you are not pregnant you are just obsessing! I am crazy..

Tigsy · 28/01/2014 13:04

Mama I'm the same. I'm also about 7dpo and the thought of testing crossed my mind when I woke up this morning. I then thought 'this is crazy' and quickly went to the loo before the temptation got any stronger! I felt really proud of myself for being so strong! I'm aiming to at least get to friday without testing- I'm away for the weekend and likely to involve a steady stream of alcohol, so thought it would be reasonable to test then with an frer even though probably still too early

barmybunting · 28/01/2014 13:07

Thanks mama and wine, sorted now Smile .

Sorry to see people are feeling down this morning. Although this process is for a happy result we all hope, it does rather suck at times. If it feels like that more often then not then it might be worth a trip to the doc to start asking for advice/tests if you have been trying for a while?

I've just got back from the reflexologist. It was an interesting experience... She opened the door and had blue hair... I'm all for a bit of blue hair if you fancy but it did make me worry it might be more hippyish than I was up for! She was lovely though. I'm not sure what to make of it though. She essentially talked me through the treatment, explained what bits linked to when it was sore (and some of it was pretty sore) but basically said she honestly thought a lot of on erratic cycles are due to stress. She did pick up a stomach issue I've had on and off for years but didn't mention to her, but this stress thing is a question to me. Funnily enough though, I went to the optician in Dec to get my eyes checked as they were very sore when I woke up every day, and he eventually said my prescription hadn't changed and the only reason he could find that my eyes would be sore on waking up was stress. How much do you go with these things? Anyway, I'm going back next week to the reflexologist (today was free) and she then said we could chat about if I wanted to carry on but told me to go and find a yoga course and ways to relax basically! I don't really know what to make of it.

As an aside, I know they go on that the pill can affect your cycle for a while when you come off. But when did it normalise for you if you weren't aware of any other medical reason which might make it erratic? I've been off the pill about 9 months now and my cycles still vary between 30 and 50 days which seems odd to me. Confused!

mama31 · 28/01/2014 14:34

Tigsy and broody! It's just awful at this stage....too early to test...and feels ages until we can test....but I also have the fear of the spotting arriving...which could be any day really but most likely from Thursday! The dread!!!

Also have plans involving alcohol this wkend...so if by some miracle I have no spotting by Friday I might test....but then again if negative could still be too early....argghhh....will just have to take it easy at the wkend...as life must go on!!!!

mama31 · 28/01/2014 14:36

Barmy interesting! I'm definately up for trying reflexology next cycle if needed! And have plans to start yoga anyway so can't do any harm I'm sure!

broodysnoopstie · 28/01/2014 14:45

I am on cycle 6 and i've adopted the 'taking it easy' approach to drinking caffeine chocolate and all naughty things. Don't get me wrong if I get my bfp I'll stop and be very good but I know myself and sometimes I need a large glass of wine or 2 with a bar of dairy milk and I don't feel bad!

mama31 · 28/01/2014 14:57

Broody I'm on cycle 8 :( I am healthy with what I eat (apart from a minor creme egg fest last cycle pre af but that's over now) I exercise regularly....but I do love my wine at the wkend....i have cut down a bit but I am not cutting it out completely as when I do get my bfp then I will cut it out and I feel it's important to enjoy life to the full when you can! I'm a firm believer in fate and it will happen when it's meant to happen....wine or no wine!!
