Ps babyrose, I think the conception vits do have extras we need right now. Pregnacare is much cheaper off amazon than in the shops. Also have cheap opk, have you tried them? It's addictive!

DownstairsMixUp · 08/01/2014 17:30

lotty I had a very light bleed on implantation day, test turned positive 3 days later!

babyrose i think the normal vitamins contain vitamin a (someone correct me if i'm wrong) and the pre conception ones don't!

babyrose · 08/01/2014 19:13

Angelic thanks, yip I also thought lots of sex fine can do that but then the more and more I learn the less I wish I knew! I'm sure it was will eventually its just been such a long time.

I have tried opks only more so in the last few months and now started using clear blue digi ones. I know now we are getting the timings right because my periods are very regular 25-28 days.

Downstairs I'm going to check that out on Amazon, maybe that also might help...

Babyrose - go without him then, it's your right to at least get some advice. And you need preconception vits because they contain folic acid.

lotty - I didn't get spotting but had cramping at the time of implantation.

VJONES1985 · 08/01/2014 19:19

Babyrose - yep, also you should be avoiding vitamin A. I took the Seven Seas vits because they're cheaper than Pregnacare.

babyrose · 08/01/2014 19:38

Thanks vjones I did see the 7seas one may consider them.I also picked up folic acid on its own. If I did go myself to the docs would they go a head with things if he wasn't there? I'm not sure how he would be if I went myself.

I know it's not my place to say but do you think he's being a bit unfair? Maybe he's in denial a bit? They would do tests on you but obviously couldn't do any on him without his say so. Really hope it works out.

babyrose · 08/01/2014 20:45

I think he is being very unfair, what of this takes years and nothing happens ever. We could have been to docs and sorted things out.

After I had ds my periods were excruciatingly painful I finally got an app at hospital. They said it could be a possibility to have endo but couldn't say until they looked. Period pain has improved so much But I never went thru with surgery which is making me wonder...

Yeah, maybe. Could be pcso?? Have your periods always been regular?

babyrose · 08/01/2014 21:09

Yeah always been between 25-28days even before D's. Use opks and always get + with ewcm so I think I'm definitely ovulating. Usually cd12/13 giving me a 12-14 lp roughly.

VJONES1985 · 08/01/2014 21:11

It's possible to get pos opk without actually ovulating but I'm sure that's not the case. Hmm, I would deffo go to the doctor if I were you.

babyrose · 09/01/2014 08:19

Thanks vjones I will go at some point hopefully when dh comes round and sees sense!

Pants, wasn't ib at all, just af and her dirty tricks :(

Babyrose - it's a real shame your DH isn't being supportive about this but don't you think it would be easier and quicker to go ahead and speak to a doctor to at least get yourself checked out? At least you could answer some questions or rule some things out. I'm sure if it wasn't good news he'd be helpful and you'd have us!

Also, good point about the vitamin A - not good for pregnancy. Can't remember why but do remember having a go at dp for buying me cod liver oil with extra vit a and him being very confused!

allchatnicknamesgone · 09/01/2014 18:07

Hi Babyrose. Seen you here before.

I'm only on cycle 8, but it was getting a bit much for me and I've started spotting before AF comes too so I went to docs today.

I had quite a positive experience and they are going to start looking into things, starting with bloods. But my partner has to be tested at the same time. I don't wish to speak out of turn, or be negative, but I think you should talk to your partner again. How would he feel if you kept trying for another few years only to find out there was an issue that could have been treated previously. I know so many men feel like this and I don't think it's fair and quite selfish really. Ultimately, he's got to wank in a pot in the privacy of his own home. You have to go through bloods and all manor of things

Sorry it's taking so long. Hope it's your turn soon. Somehow the dreaded AF in Jan feels harder than the other months.

babyrose · 09/01/2014 18:42

Thanks angelic and allchat. We had a chat today (ds was about so didnt get to far into a deep conversation) and he said he was getting stressed and worried feeling under pressure. He still wants to TTC just not willing to go to docs. Which yes I agree is totally selfish on his part.part I'm greatful that I have all you lovely ladies for support Smile

I'm going to approach the conversation again about myself going. My thought was that as well think about all the things we have to go through and men have a bloody cup.

Good luck with your next chat with your DH. Maybe you could just have a chat with your GP in the meantime whilst you are still ttc?

x

ruth1104 · 10/01/2014 23:16

Hope you can come to an agreement babyrose. Re vitamins, boots have some own brand ttc ones with the right amount of folic acid in them x
