With my first child I had a really bad birth experience, I came home everything was fine. 1 week later woke up blood everywhere! I'd haemorrhaged all over my bed partner rang an ambulance I lost nearly 2 litres of blood ended up going into theatre and having my womb scraped, afterwards I was so anaemic I couldn't even walk with being exhausted and feel faint.

I was just wondering with all this happening with my last child, would it be possible to ask for a c section? Wat do u think they will say? I'm currently ttc but I'm going to be scared to death of having a natural birth.

Hi rach, what an awful experience. I'm not surprised you want to consider an ECS, however they are really major surgery so really need to be necessary. I had two one emergency the second planned. A can will take you out of the game for at least a week, you will be left with a long scar and some mums end up with a belly overhang -mines like a space hopper stuck on They are often viewed as the easy option but honestly they do need a lot of thought and things can go wrong with them as well shredded bladder here-- your birth story sounds terrible and I really appreciate where you are coming from but you may have a text book delivery next time. I really hope you do xx

But, there's nothing wrong with discussing it with your consultant, they will be try and put you off though so be prepared for that. Xmas Grin

guidelines have changed this year and you can request an ELSC if you want, for whatever reason, doesn't even have to be a medical reason.

Thankyou! I'm going to ask before I get pregnant cos it really does put me off, they told me after they would be very cautious next time xx

I'm not sure how to access these guidelines - I only know because DD's Godmother is a midwife and we were talking about this a few months ago.

I will ask her if she can point out where to find the information about this and will get back to you - will be a few days.

of course GP or MW or your hospital are good to ask.

Thankyou that would be really helpful! Xx
