Polkadot1 · 05/12/2013 18:55

Cheers guys! Defo agree with MV85 comments about continuing to dtd after clearblue peak fertility, as that's the only thing different this time, must have worked! SMEP tells you to carry on dtd, so not sure why clear blue guide you to just on the flashing/ smiley face days, as may well ovulate after, so want swimmers all around for then!
Had a bit if a "dtd-athon" - trying to cover all bases- days 5,7,9,11, 13,14,16,17,19,20,22. Plan was at least alt days, between periods, more around ov time. We were all ill around says 23-30 though, fluey, upset stomachs, so stopped the plan then!!!!

barmybunting · 05/12/2013 19:00

Bex, brilliant to hear you got the date on NYE! Are you planning to stay there for a few days after your wedding to celebrate?

Lots of smilies about on here today, dtd lots sounds like the right idea!

Trying to keep track via phone is awful, need to put the app on my phone I think.

Dh is finally home and agrees there is some sort of a line on the test from this morn. I took a photo but have no idea how to upload onto here.

Any one else due to test this weekend Dichoto, good luck for tomorrow if you go for it!

Ovulated day 18. No symptoms until about d12po- palpitations. Then
13dpo woke at 0200 feeling v nauseous- thought maybe eating something dodgy, general "butterflies/ warm feeling" in pelvis-which I do remember from last time, plus still few palpitations
14dpo aversion to alcohol
15dpo - spa day- free lunch- loaded my plate up with lovely food- could only eat half! Full/ nauseous. Then was so tired fell asleep in relaxation room
16dpo- AF should have been here today/ yesterday, but no PMT (irritability) or AF cramps or spotting. Still warm feeling in pelvis, and mild nausea, so did 2 x IC (but were a few months out of date- so thought would try CB- half expecting to be negative- )but bingo- BFP.
Hope the faint lines come up strong BFPs tomorrow! And that there are loads more BFPs for everyone else! Xx

Spinning, yes I have got my dress already...we had booked our wedding in the summer but due to sad circumstances we had to cancel it. But yes!! All sorted!! We live quite far away in Cheshire so it's a fair few hours drive x

Barmy, yes we get into Scotland on 28, get married 31, but home on 1 jan as oh is back in work on the 2. So not long up there, but long enough Wink x

DichotoMous · 05/12/2013 20:00

X

Polkadot1 · 05/12/2013 20:26

Hiya, no were quite strong after 2 mins. Initially faint , but then defo are strong. (meant in the other post that hope others faint ones come up strong by tomorrow!)

barmybunting · 05/12/2013 20:42

Bex, a couple of days before your wedding will be lovely! Gretna Green is beautiful. What made you decide to choose there?

Dichoto, thanks, I'll see what tomorrow brings. I'm not taking today's as a BFP, think there is a good chance it's just a wonky line especially as it appeared a couple of mins after the allocated time. I can't work out how to upload a photo on here at all? Hopefully will work that out tomorrow & actually have a proper line to show for it!

Polka - love reading the info, thanks for sharing! Useful when the symptom spotting is still going wild over here!

Sazzle - hope DH is around at the right time, a few middle of the night dtds can always help if he is out too much Smile.

Congrats bex on getting your date, so excited for you!!
Congrats polka and all others on your BFPs I'm so glad this seems to be a fruitful month for everyone :)
Just wanted to ask - anyone have any advice/tips on using OPKs? I'm starting using them next month and all I know is to start about CD10?

sazzlehopes · 05/12/2013 20:49

Ha thanks barmy and Lucy! Indeed will just have to manage with when he's about and hope he's not toooo drunk or hungover!! I'm hoping it adds to the 'not worrying about it this month' that I'm aiming for!

Polka - excellent details! And good to know you kept going, I never have the energy after my 2 peak days but I think I will try harder this month, although if I'm honest looking at how much you dtd makes me feel exhausted!

sazzlehopes · 05/12/2013 20:52

Mammabear- what type have you gone for? ICs or more expensive brand? I'd personally test earlier for your first go so you have a clear idea and don't miss anything. If you are using ics then you need to test twice a day and also don't use fmu. Other girls I'm sure can help out - I use the clear blue fertility monitor so my method is a little different.... Wink

BexBoo12 · 05/12/2013 21:06

I chose Gretna because Scotland is very special to me. Seemed like an obvious choice to be honest. I can't wait!!

Mammabear, I used opks ICs this month, and because they are soo cheap, I started using them CD 8 just because I didn't want to miss ov. I used them twice a day - about 10am and 6pm. Like already said, not with FMU. They are cheap enough so if you use 30 in one month it really doesn't matter xx
