Egg being fertilised but not implanting?

Hi All
Bear with me. I hope I can make this as succinct as possible.

I have two DCs. I've been ttc number 3 for 10 months and in that time have unfortunately had two miscarriages - the last an MMC in July. In short, I know what it's like to feel pregnant, and I also know what it's like to feel like I've conceived (in all my pregnancies my boobs exploded in size and got very painful/sensitive about a week after ovulation and stayed that way...)

Since my last miscarriage, I've experienced exactly the same feeling in two of my cycles. In brief, as far as I believe, I conceived. In both these cycles my AF arrived about 2-3 days late - and heavier and more painful than usual (I didn't test in either - I just didn't want to). I have mild endometriosis. I am wondering whether both these times I have conceived, but the egg is failing to implant properly, possibly due to my Endo?

Does anyone have experience or knowledge of this? Is there anything I can do to help with implantation? I know it sounds like I'm self-diagnosing but I really do know my body - I've known the cycles where I haven't conceived and when I haven't been pregnant. But these are different.

Any thoughts or similar experiences much appreciated. Also hope this makes sense. Am writing with a cold and a noisy kid beside me. Thank you!

From what I've read as a many as 60% of conceptions end this way. A lot of the time it's only through early pregnancies tests that the woman has ever know she's had a little bean in the first place. Before early testing I guess women we're none the wiser and and assumed that AF had just arrived late.
I know it doesn't make this whole TTC journey any easier but it's what I've read none the less. Good luck in trying for DC3, I wish you all the best ??

I agree with lara that it's really common, but it could also be a problem with implantation that is causing your miscarriages. I had 3 MC in a row and normal on all the tests, then went to Prof Quenby's implantation clinic in Coventry where she tests a uterine biopsy for lining growth and for NK cells. I was treated with progesterone from day 21 and steroids and clexane from BFP on day 28 and I'm now 13 weeks pregnant.
Can I encourage you to test? if you know anyway, you might as well have the evidence to present to a GP. If you have had 4 Mc/early pregnancy failures then you'd be eligible for recurrent miscarriage testing.

Thanks lara - I suppose this is reassuring in a way. Maybe I'm just paying too much attention to it all in my desire to conceive... however -
bakingtins - my gut tells me that I have a problem - I only developed issues with my cycle, pain, mild endometriosis after my second DC - and it's only in the last year that we've been trying to conceive again. But I've "only" Hmm had two MCs this year, so I guess I don't qualify for testing? I'm also in the foreign country at the moment (USA) so not even sure if it works the same way. Perhaps we just have to bite the bullet and pay to see a specialist - just to find out one way or the other. Not too sure where to start... Guess I'll google fertility specialists in my area...?

Oh and big congratulations on your pregnancy! I've 'met' you on the miscarriage threads before so I'm thrilled for you and hope you are managing to enjoy your PG, despite your past experiences.
