Hi there can anyone give me some advice on the following please. I have been taken my temp most mornings since my last AF on the 23rd June. This is the first time I have done this and I am a bit confused. My temps are as follows

24 - 36.4
25 -
26 -
27 - 36.0
28 - 36.0
29 - 36.3
30 - 36.2
1 - 36.2
2 -
3 -
4 -
5 - 36.2
6 - 36.3
7 - 35.9
8 - 36.2
9 - 36.2
10 - 36.0
11 - 36.1
12 - 36.3

Temp dipped twice 7th(day 15) & 10th (day 18)
Anyone got any ideas?

I would guess you might like me get a temp dip on day of ovulation which would make your ov date 7/7
Are you using a proper basal thermometer, being consistent in your waking times and stuff?

Since no one else has answered...
My NFP teacher said that you need to chart for 3 months before you'll really be able to understand what's going on. You also need to chart meticulously - as close as possible to the same time each morning, before you have a drink of water, ideally before you sit up. You need to mark on your chart each time you deviate from this.
I also found that temps alone were hard to understand - cervical mucus is a really helpful other indication. Some people feel their cervix to see how it changes, but I didn't get on with that at all!
The sign of ovulation is egg-white mucus, followed a few days later by a jump in temperature of at least 0.2 degrees over any of the temps of the previous 6 days - hasn't happened to you yet. Temps only tell you AFTER you've ovulated - the rise follows ovulation. Don't remember dips in temp having a meaning.
There's a good book on this: Fertility, I think by Jane Clarke (and great information on the web, often under Natural Family Planning, rather than conception!)
Good luck

For reading anc charting I'd truly advise Taking Charge of Your fertility by Toni Weschler its a bible every woman needs esp when ttc
I got it 2 mths ago after ttc my 3rd child for over 3 yrs and bang yesterday got a + test
So it does help IMHO

quick ques about the thermometers. I have been using the digital one. how do you know when to renew it. I'm sure my last one just stopped working. My current has been giving strange post ovulation readings...36.08 (lower than all previous) then 36.70 next day (higher than all previous).

is it going on the blink do you think. am going to get a new one tomorrow to be on the safe side but curious about my current especially as I am not absolutely when and if I ovulated.

What about just getting a new battery? Although they do say that you should always have two thermometers, Just In Case... Also you should mark on your chart when you changed thermometers, because they're never perfect (different calibration).

been using a throwaway one so no option to change battery. part of the boots fertility monitor pack. Have just ordered one off accessdiagnoistics (£8.99!!) so should get in couple of days. get couple of free pregnancy tests with it as well which is good
